Adopting senior cats is the best! Adopted my fur son when he was 8 (they think) he passed at 11 and I truly believe he had the best end to his life. Welcome Winston! 💕
Awe I also adopted mine when he was 8 and I still have him 12 years later and I just wish I can have at least another 10 years but I’m already grateful that he’s been with me for this long so any longer is a blessing especially after having my previous cat stolen from me I don’t know what I’d do if he went on but I know that it’ll eventually come so I’m appreciating every day I have with him❤
Winston is a cutie. I used to work at a cat shelter and I wish more people would adopt senior (or even adult) cats. There’s so many benefits to getting an older cat and it makes such a difference in their lives.
I wouldn’t trust Temo with pet dye! That seems like a Vet trip waiting to happen. We have dyed one of our dogs in the past with pet friendly dye but it takes research to find the ones that are ACTUALLY pet safe.
If you search "creative grooming" you'll find it's a whole specialty! More with dogs vs cats, but yes there's several brands in the pet industry that have safe dye. The pet world versions of Garnier or Herbal Essence basically (You can also use hair chalk for a VERY temporary look, but that stuff rubs off like cheap lipstick so surroundings beware!)
I’ve heard horror stories about the automatic door toy. I was checking out a similar one on Amazon and a lot of people said their cats got their claws caught and yanked, or wrapped around toe beans and I think one even said their cat got it caught on their collar and almost choked. Some crazy weird stories that seemed unreal(some had pictures and vet bills) , but enough to make me not get it (it was mostly the bell, easy to snag claws in).
@MaulyMayhem Yes I was concerned about that too! We had a kitten that got caught in a venetian blind cord and almost choked. Fortunately we saw it switched happened and saved our kitten. We then removed all the cords!
@@rachelcamm4990 cats will hurt themselves in ways we can’t even fathom and make us start panicking over everything 😂. Perpetual toddlers. I’m glad your kitten was okay and you managed to fix the issue.
Well cats shouldn't really wear a collar anyway... but I see that there could be man y other problems... I guess just don't let them play with this unauthorised.
@@Hodiefarlp I have to have a collar on mine. She’s silent and likes to lay right in the middle of walk ways or get under feet. I even have to put extra bells on hers because of how silent she can be without it. She won’t meow to signal either. It’s a break away, so I’m not worried about her getting stuck anywhere. She uses it to communicate with the bells sometimes. Instead of meowing when my husband gets home in the early AM, she jingles it every time and will scratch at it to wake me up for food 😂. Plus it has a glow bit on it too to help. The lights are oddly sparse in this older house and I hate it. Not a good combo with ninja kitties
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I keep my blinds cords wrapped around the curtain rods so my cats can't play with them. I suppose, if it had worked, supervised play would have been fine. But, you'd have to remove the cord after each play session and before leaving the room.
For cat beds, my cats always wait for at least a few days before eve going to put a paw in it. I guess they are waiting for the strange odors to dissipate and being replace by the ones of the house. For the water mat, you didn't inflate de ring? We try one. No one even show interest... until the 3 months one noticed it and it lasts for about 10 minutes before she broke it.

Gorgeous kittehs! You can tell You and your hubby are good by the way all 4 babies interact with you, And Splinter giving you the kitteh kiss eyes in the soup cup was adorable!
I had a very similar car toy for my cats and they got injured. The base with the mouse that hides and goes round (the Reeses cup) I was watching them play and they were supervised. My cats paw got caught in the hole just as you imagined it might. It was very painful for him. Please be careful

for the string toy.. not something that you want to leave out unsupervised EVER- we had a kitten almost hang himself with a similar string toy, since then. NO unsupervised hanging toys.
Cats looove small spaces, it makes them feel safe and secure which is why they’re always trying to squeeze into silly spaces like boxes and drawers 😂 my cat was obsessed with sleeping in my wicker vase, he would take my pampas grass out with his teeth and turn into liquid to slide inside and curl up. It happened daily, in the end I binned the grass and gave him to vase with a blanket inside as his preferred bed 😆
Watching with my kitten... I don't even need to buy the mouse go round toy....she would happily watch it and your cats play with it for hours... she was trying to get the mouse through the laptop screen....! So glad you go some rescue kitties... they are the best
I recommend getting Winston a rag rug my cats love to sleep on them or anything made of Cotten and hate extra soft stuff like those beds or throw blankets they won’t touch them 😅 they also love to kick the rag rugs when they are hyper 😊
Aww cute kitteh's! 😻 The pets' beds were something I had thought of, but we can't even afford that low-ish price right now. bit I am glad to know when we can they will be good to get. Rescue's are the best! We adopted our kitty from the local humane society, and when it is her time to go we will adopt again.
My cat adores cave like structures and is very much happy to crawl under the blankets when I'm trying to make the bed. Both the beds look like something he would 100% enjoy as well as my other two. I have thought about the water toy before, and I wonder if you blew up the ring on the outside and then filled it a lot with water so the charms float around if they would be more interested. I am one to always buy cute things to see how my cats like it. Sometimes the only one thoroughly entertained by the product is me. I really want to try the battery powered mouse one as I know my once stray will love it as he likes to bring me live mice and drop them on my desk as I work. Thankfully I grew up owning rats so a little mouse doesn't phase me. The birds however are a little more annoyed at being brought into the house and can cause more chaos than the mice.
All your kitties are soooo cute. You're an awesome human to begin with but to know you adopted a Sr cat makes my heart even fuller. Winston has my heart cause he has a funky ear like two of my four 😊😊
i love your salty angry chicken and i am sorry you lost ramsies i remember when i used to watch u u had both ramsy and spinter and it warms my heart u adopted and rescued i too am a big softy
Adorable kitties! My only concern is with the pet brush. Steam requires heat, and if someone was careless, they might accidentally scald their furry friend. I'd test the heat coming from the steam with my hand first, before using the steam on my pet. Also, from the video it appears that the steam is meant to be used first before brushing, not at the same time as the brush, so people would need to be sure to follow the directions closely. Otherwise, fun products...I've got my eye on both of those kitty beds and the scratcher, fun!
I love that you got cat stuff and we got to see your trio! As Winston is new to the house... he may have not wanted to touch the items because other cat smell on it. Ownership type thing. I like the beds and the mouse toy.
The Mouse and the floor idea was totally adorable I loved it. the beds are cute, but you could probably make them easily enough thank you I enjoyed this
OH ME GERD!!!! Your fur babies are so cute! Winston really is very handsome. Splinter seems to act like he's not interested and then when no one is looking he goes for it! LOL! Kimchi just loves everything! And it was nice to see Angel!
Toilet bowl brush(brand new never touch toilet) works great. My fur angel before he passed loved to be brushed with one. It worked for my mom cause she could not bend down to brush/pet him. He also easily got overstimulated leading to biting.
I have that exact same pet brush. You're meant to mist them a bit BEFORE you brush, and the slight moisture helps fur stick to the bristles. While it doesn't get as much fur as a metal bristle slicker brush, I have noticed that it results in a LOT lest fur in the air. So I'm actually really happy with it.
Jackie!! Your babies are so beautiful and it's so apparent how much they all love you! Winston is such a sweetiepie and it's so heartwarming to see how close he is to you already! I was so happy seing Angel again too, talented scruffy birdy.
I love your new adopted kitties. I have two cats one named amethyst and the other sunflower. They don't like cat toys or anything fun. They have a window seat to watch the wildlife in the window and a cat tree that goes unused. Out of all of these they'd probably like the bed.
13:36 I know that water pad that my younger cousin actually had one, but it’s for like babies not for cats. It’s the same design and each time when I go to their house, I play with it more than my cousin bc I have ADHD that’s why I just wanna steal it and play with it every single day😂❤
I have that mango steam brush (I bought it for my medium furred chihuahuas and I agree with the sentiment that it doesn’t pick up fur as demonstrated but for my dog that gets a weird rash after running through wet grass it is amazing for “rinsing” the grass/dirt off the coat instead of having to give a bath EVERY TIME we go outside and the grass is damp
Something some people may not think of, with the pet hair dye, even if you put in on your pet where they can’t lick it, if you have multiple pets, the others can lick it off each other. We had our dog trainer bring this to our attention in a group class in regards to flea and tick treatments prescribed by vets that gets applied to the neck area and one of his other clients actually lost a pet because one cat groomed the other after the treatment was applied. I personally would not apply anything that wasn’t 100% safe if ingested to any of my pets for this reason. I only pass this on for people to consider before using these types of products.
I intentionally adopted a senior cat as well. He was 8 when I adopted him, and he just turned 9. So many people adopt kittens, but the older babies deserve love too
Hi Jackie. I use the steam brushes on my dogs and cats with a little of their cologne when I comb them. It does come out quite a lot of hair, mainly from my labrator and my orange cat. Never direct the steam at their faces although it really doesn't matter just it makes them not want to let you brush them. And you have to do it without the animal being distracted by something else like eating.
I'm really hoping to introduce another rescue cat to my family before the end of the year so I really love these kind of videos right now and it's even better that I'm getting the information from you because you are so honest but you also try to like the products instead of being a jerk about it for the sake of views. There aren't many channels that I feel I can trust but I trust you. Keep being your wonderful self and live your life to the fullest.
I bought a similar hanging toy but it has a sticker to hang it from the ceiling. (not mechanical) I put it in a hallway and my kitten plays with it so much I have to tie it up out of reach to give him a rest. It came with a mouse but with the elastic rope my kitten was pulling it as far as it would go, then releasing it to make it hit the ceiling. Not good if you're in an apartment and have an upstairs neighbor. I've since changed the mouse to a lighter feather toy and he's still playing with it daily.
Just home from work and having snuggles with my cat Waylon while watching this. Definitely going to look at one of the two beds for him as he is a complete snuggle bug.
I love that she’s expressing that she did martial arts and I think it’s great and I think it’s great that she is expressing this to us and not hiding this
All your cats are soo adorable & good on your for adopting a senior cat. He definitely used to be a tomcat I can see lol. I’m so glad he’s got a wonderful home with you all! I work at a humane society & all too often the seniors get overlooked by the kittens.. trust me I get it but the seniors deserve all the love as well 🥹
Jackie I find with cats and brushes it all depends on how their fur behaves. A brush like that one may not work on kimchi but could work on one of your other cats. It all depends on their hair density and texture.
I have 3 cat babies, Eskimo, Moscow and Griffin… They would love 💕 that Pet Bed.. I have cat beds all over my house. Griffin actually lays on top of me and watches RUclips with me 😂. I need these cat items ❤.
Splinter, such a good boy to volunteer for face painting. ❤ I think these coloring things are for when you can’t control your toddler- if they’re going to use markers on the cat/dog anyway, better make sure it’s nontoxic and easily removable.
I love your cats! I think the mouse racer/chaser was the best! I believe that some of my cats would have liked it! Unfortunately I am cat less right now. 😿I am hoping to resolve this issue soon and can see myself getting the mouse racer/chaser for my new kitty(when I get her).
I think my favorite one would probably have to be the beds or pet dyes I have an all white cat and I’m always looking for ways to give her a pop of color 😊
Lol I got a similar toy for my cats with a mouse on a tract.. it was a hit, but I would catch my 27 pound male walking around, mouse in his mouth just carrying the entire toy around.. yeah it didn't survive very long.. but that's what happens when you give a cat toy to a monster.
I am cat sitting my Nana's cat for a few weeks. and I love her. but she will not use any cat bed. my nana gave me her "favorite" bed. but she will only sleep in my bed under the covers. my dog sleeps in the cat bed instead. and she has a weird love for plastic easter eggs and stealing french fries.
I wonder if Winston thinks the cat bed you gave him is too stuffed and hard to get into. With older cats, I found they did better with an outside dog-bed style, because it was a little bit firmer while being soft and low front that's easy to get into; walk and flop rather than jump in.
We have the steam brush and it works amazing!! It gets TONS of fur off, you just have to use it more than 10 seconds. And it’s cold steam, it does not heat up at all. It uses ultrasonic power to make it work.
We had the second toy you showed, the one with the mouse, our cats liked it at first but grew tired of it after a few days. The water toy they absolutely loved but even though we had just trimmed their claws it only lasted about 5 minutes before it had a tear. The brush, I think it depends on the cat. I have two cats and it doesn't work very well on one but on the other one it gets lots of fur off. I guess it's the difference in texture of the fur. Anyway I loved your video and Kimchi and all the cats!

I have one of these brushes and it is not steam. There's no heat involved. It is an atomizer like in a water/essential oil diffuser. It is cool mist.
@@christaneves1407 Nice, thanks for clearing that up!
Kimchi seems very chill. He just wants all of the toys! Your kitties are so cute!
Winston is precious ❤ I love adopting senior cats, they’re so sweet and have so much love to give. Welcome Winston, you’re in a great fur-ever home 💕
Love your wee babies❤ definitely would love to see more of them in the future 😊
Winston is adorable 😭❤️
Toilet bowl brush(brand new never touch toilet) works great. My fur angel before he passed loved to be brushed with one. It worked for my mom cause she could not bend down to brush/pet him. He also easily got overstimulated leading to biting.
That's a good idea. Especially for someone who can't bend over easily.
I bet you could do a diy stand with a couple too.
I have a similar self grooming station. It took some training, but they came to enjoy it.
My cat passed suddenly yesterday and im devastated. So the timing of this video is painful but also comforting
Totally would not trust a pet hair dye.... but that is just me. Your kitties are adorable! Love Winston. His ear, it cracks me up.... lol
Omg Winston is so cute! I love his sweet face!!! Welcome to the newest member 🎉😻 I want to try out the scratcher for my boys!!
I love how much you love your fur babies and keep them safe
Our friend cat hung itself on one of those door hanger toys. Please keep an eye on your cat when using one of those toys.
I think these coloring things are for when you can’t control your toddler- if they’re going to use markers on the cat/dog anyway, better make sure it’s nontoxic and easily removable.
I gotta say your cats are absolutely adorable & I’m sure that they liked it cat beds the most than anything else they were trying out with 😻😻😻
OMG i missed your birdie he looks so healthy now
I love your cats! I think the mouse racer/chaser was the best! I believe that some of my cats would have liked it! Unfortunately I am cat less right now. 😿I am hoping to resolve this issue soon and can see myself getting the mouse racer/chaser for my new kitty(when I get her).
I am all about this if it becomes a series! I need Christmas ideas for my fur behbehs
Jackie, you've done so much! Betterhealth and adopting a senior cat! You are awesome!
I think my favorite one would probably have to be the beds or pet dyes I have an all white cat and I’m always looking for ways to give her a pop of color 😊
I love seeing you with your pets so much🫶🏼
Such adorable cats you have, thanks for giving them all homes, loves and care.
I love all the cat content! Also love that you adopted a senior cat. that makes my heart so happy.
Lol I got a similar toy for my cats with a mouse on a tract.. it was a hit, but I would catch my 27 pound male walking around, mouse in his mouth just carrying the entire toy around.. yeah it didn't survive very long.. but that's what happens when you give a cat toy to a monster.
I need to know where you got that colorful rug because I’m in love with it!
I wish there were more people like jaki
My 6 cats and I thank you for this!
Winston is so cute!!! All of your cats are but he is just heart melting
I wish I could clam sleep 😂❤ All the kitties are sooooo cuute, please give them snuggles from me.
❤❤❤ Under 15 minutes! Thank you for brightening my day!!! ❤❤❤
So it's by definition not steam.
It's mist
Hi nerdecrafter i loved this video and please keep posting videos of your cats they are all so cute😅❤
Good GRIEF Winston is so cute!!!!!! 😍😍😭
I rescued a Cavalier King Charles dog named Prince Winston a few years back, he sleeps as often as a cat does at times.
Love this video concept ❤❤
Just want to say, it's not steam as that would be hot and dangerous but water vapor 😊
Fun! It's always nice seeing other's cat friends, especially when they actually like/use the human's offerings, lol
Thanks for this video. You reviewed a few things I am considering for my cats. Loved seeing your cute fur babies too. ❤
