    i bought the older M50S for about $1200 used and get up to 144TH/s depending on how loud and hot i want to run it. plugged into my 240v dryer outlet through a PDU. now i need to sound proof and better ventilate my laundry room :) great videos by the way.

    Exciting miner, great review, you know what I have always wondered, what's the percentage of watts split between all the things happening? Fans, control board, hash boards.... are these chips really pulling 20 AMPS ????????

    I've never owned a proper BTC asic as they're generally too loud too expensive and too power hungry but gonna wait till halfening and I am hoping these asics will half in price too - that looks to be the time to pick one up!

  • @Fudmottin
    @Fudmottin 8 месяцев назад

    I think I would have to update my utility board for one of these. I think all my circuits are 20amp. I'm not even sure I can get one of these without that extra cost. And then there is the ROI time. Unless BTC rockets in price, that's a long wait before I can break even and then make enough to buy one cup of coffee per day!

    I understand all these miners and get it big power big hash but it would be cool to see them plunk a few chips on the boards and make some miners you could plug in next to your hair dryer or something. Give Hello Science a lil competition

    Do you recommend starting mining when the electricity price is 0.01 per kilowatt, or do you think I am too late?

    One of my main concerns is the centralization of mining with a lot of large scale companies and individuals now getting involved. I do worry about the ‘real’ individuals out there starting out with a few machines like myself.

    What about hydro mining? The M63S and the S21 Hydro have such higher hash rates and similar or lower efficiencies and may last longer than aircooled, at least no fans going wrong and needing swapping out and down time. What do you think about that?

    hey there, i hope you r great ! i would start mining coins, but actually i don't know how to start, i mean, where do i put my miners, i will not put them home cause of all the electricity setup needed, and cause of the potential noise, so where should i ?

      use liquid cooling like DCX Bitpod, just to start with 2 miners at home, with heat reuse potential for your water boiler!

    You know what I don't get. I have free electricity where I stay at work and was planning to get a small ASIC miner to take with me but even the cheap small one I was looking at would take 6 months to pay off 700 bucks. Which made me wonder with the volitility and the difficulty constantly increasing, those machines may never pay themselves off let alone pay for the electricity bill. Makes no sense

    is this a profitable minner for home minning?

    • @saminekunis8680
      @saminekunis8680 7 месяцев назад

      In my own opinion yes & first the high Hashrate at the same power consumption as other miners & most importantly its small size & that it is even more quiet than a Canaan Avalon Miner which under standard mode only puts out 70/75 DB and not 95 DB like Ant miners do

      I'd rather not recommend hydro miners to any small (home-mining) crypto farm
      at such a scale immersion is easier and better (jet is a bit more expensive to buy)
      but if you don't know how to treat your water in the loop and measure water quality it's not the solution for you
      also please heads-up for the electricity parameters needed to run these powerful miners: at least 25A per plug (any typical socket and computer cables will melt) and 3-phase electric power only (!!!)
