Antminer S21- The Realities of Bitcoin Mining in 2024

- This is the Bitmain Antminer S21 200TH! In this video I have tested the actual power draw in stock vs low power mode. Watts, Terahash Speed, Voltage, all of it.

If youre going to mine bitcoin in 2024, you will need an S21.
I have disassembled my S21 and its custom power cord and hardwired it into an existing C13 power cable I had been using for my S19's.
This machine definitely pulls far less power than the S19 series to get an even higher hash rate. Thats really good news. You can either run it stock at about 3600 watts and youll be cranking out somewhere close to 200 terahash, or you can run it on low power mode, where it will sip 2600 watts from the wall and give back 160 terahash. Putting the s19xp to shame!

Needed this video! Thank you legend
Awesome! I want one!
Love how you tinker around with things 👍
Also! I’m a sheet metal worker, it was a bit painful to see you cut wire with tin snips!! Haha 😛
you always make high quality videos and i love it Keep it up 👍
That pogo cam gives me energy!!!!!
This is awesome!!
Great vibe
Great video and great editing!
Thank you! I really wanted to pay off on the thumbnail with a practical effect. Maybe not the best plan to set a brand new machine on fire; but you know the game!!!:):)
Great vid
you show also show high power mood :)
I just ordered 2 of these. They will be hosted.
Smart choice, looks like they ought to be profitable for at least four years!!
nice video!
I havent checked wonder if they went down in price vs launch price. I was going to get a s19k with s21 dropping prices.
Cool cats know where the action is - Xeventy's presale is where it's at. Exciting times ahead!
Very professional videos👍
Thank you!! Are you a distributor?
@@SPACEDESIGNWAREHOUSE yes, I am miner distributor,I like your videos. If you can make a video for T21 connections as well, I am sure will be very popular as well.Currently many people confused about connection of T21,because unlike usual wind miners, this is three phases electricity
I just wired a 50amp for my S21. I gotta Figure out how to split to two 30amps. I was going to run a nema 6-50p outlet to a split. I can change outlet to whatever I want.
You can just run a PDU out of your 50amp and run three S21s off of that. No need to split. These pull power super consistently.
That vinyl tape works for everything
Haha that’s right! You guys leave behind a literally ‘junk drawer LIFETIME SUPPLY’ at every single show… Makes great electrical tape.
The plug has 2 types which will comes with miners inbox.
Is it like a computer?
You didn't just want a new pdu instead?
I too have this issue with spoofing the fan however ive contacted boys in China to see if they have a hardware version ready. if ur interested please let me know
I will definitely be interested in that!
I wondered how fast braiins or vnish would have their firmwares for this thing.
Not a custom plug. Widely used in data center world.
Oh that’s funny. I probably could have looked that up.
what type of plug is that?
@@KavuljakTV1I think it’s called a p13 4 pin? But looking it up is strangely hard. www.zeusbtc.com/ASIC-Miner-Repair/Parts-Tools-Details.asp?ID=3247#:~:text=C20%20to%20P13%204pin%20plug,the%20Antminer%20S21%20power%20supply.
188 or 200t?
I've heard the prices to hash ratio is best with the 188s
This is a 200t. I didn’t even know there was a 188! Not listed on asicminervalue
Thats true, i ordered a 188t because the 200t was out of stock
Is the S21 and the T21 same on power consumption and amps from the outlet
Yes, it looks like the T21 also pulls about 3600 watts - same voltage, but a tiny bit less hashrate.
Thanks what about the cable is it the same as s21 or the regular old cable sorry i order one and i wanna make sure i have the right thing
@@jafuentes89 Looks like the T21 will ship with that same weird cord as the S21.. support.bitmain.com/hc/en-us/articles/27522322154521-Newest-ANTMINER-Power-Cord-PDU-Adaptation-Instructions
@SPACEDESIGNWAREHOUSE
When you get the hands on T21 do a video and change the wires so i know it will work the same as S21
Please confirm if black is Live and white is Neutral?
Nope, there are two live wires and a ground. No neutral.
Could you please measure the power when it starts. People saying that it pools 4-4,5kwt for the first five minutes …
Oh interesting, I really doubt that but I haven't measured it. Im in New York until Tuesday but I will take a look right when I get back.
@@bigwetrobot really looking forward, thank you 🙏🏻
@@sayggafterdie Whoops, signed into the wrong account there, ha.. But yes, Ill come back and comment here.
@@SPACEDESIGNWAREHOUSE hey! :) are you close to check the power?)
I have 2 of these and mine pulled 20 amps and 4200 watts during start up on both of them. I was biting my nails thinking it would trip the breaker but it did come back down. These things use SO MUCH POWER. idk what to do about it, but they're using over 16amps running on normal mode so in my mind I can't safely run them with the included 20amp cords, and the machines themselves are only rated to 20 amps@@sayggafterdie
What's the solution for that weird ass power cable ?
They make specific PDUs for it, or just attachments for the ends of cables you already have. I just didn’t want to wait for shipping because I got that machine in unexpectedly. Also, I really wanted to know if it was just powered the same way as before with three wires and the strange cable is wired in, which it is.
worth buyin so close to the halving?
Always a gamble no matter when you buy, but this will be the only direct bitcoin miner that is profitable after the halving..
no idea what the future holds for the price of BTC unfortunately..
@@SPACEDESIGNWAREHOUSE Why would is the s19k pro 120 th/s suddenly not be profitable? Was just about to buy and get them hosted
@@maryannplunkett5420 if you’re having it hosted it will probably remain profitable. It all depends on the price of electricity. In the US, at home miners electricity cost will be too high after the halving. It will cost the same to run the machine, but it will produce slightly more than half as much BTC. As long as the price of bitcoin keeps going up, or as long as your electrical cost is less than about 8 cents per kWh, it’ll remain profitable.
@@SPACEDESIGNWAREHOUSE So would you recommend 2 s19k pros or 1 s21 200th/s? I run the numbers and the 2 s19k pros make a little bit more than the s21, but just wanted your opinion....
@@maryannplunkett5420 In my opinion, one S21 would be better. It makes less BTC slightly, but is QUITE A BIT more efficient. And after the halving, efficiency will be everything.
Good luck this cycle, don't fuck with any alts!
Each loss I moved closer and closer to becoming a Bitcoin Maxi
@@SPACEDESIGNWAREHOUSE we all had to make that journey! I put 1 BTC into Golem in like 2015.. not that much $$$ at the time, but I certainly would still have that whole BTC if I didn't yeet it away!
Thanks for the vids, best of luck dude
Oh what the fire code violations
I don’t know about you, but I believe they have adapters 😂
Oh for sure! But the excitement of receiving one of these in the mail meant I HAD to turn it on. There was no way I was going to wait for an adapter to ship:):)
"Watts and joules are the same thing..."
One watt is one joule per second..
Call me goofy but "s21" font used? Lol sorry
Haha no problem, it’s called Headliner no. 45. Look on dafont!
@@SPACEDESIGNWAREHOUSE you're awesome thank you
anyone legit here who can tell me where I could order this things the cheapest?
Well, to get them the cheapest you can order them straight from China. But there’s either a long wait or it’s crazy dangerous to try to find someone who won’t steal your money.
To buy them the safest, I recommend Musk Miners. You can email blake@muskminers.com and tell him I sent you and he will ship immediately and safely; American company.
