I really liked the video. Let's try to strike a conversation on building a private dual cpu/GPU system that can mine and train LLM systems (something I am also interested in).
You can buy a MB with only two PCIE ports, you can use a four port PCIE extender to put eight cards in. The main focus should be on the chipset, like AM4 has 16 PCIE lanes and the Intel chipsets varies between 6 and 24. You just have to read the description. I always buy MB's with atleast 12 or 20, depends on the number of cards in the build, since mining uses one PCIE lane per card.
i have 2 houses with free electricity, been mining like a maniac for 4 years stright now. This month im planning to add more gpus while they`re still cheap. Nobody knows what next halving will bring to POW coins so better to be prepared.
Are really people making a living off of mining and how long does it take to actually start seeing results of making money? I don't know a thing about mining or crypto 🤔
Great content, but you're flooded by the hundreds of other youtubers that did mining videos from 2021,22, and today. The field is hungry for .... how to mine new coins using Windows? Corner that market brother. 🎉
You may want to add solar, in the uk electric costs £0.236kwh. So profits are tiny. As its summer and i was exporting loads i pulled part of my soalr down to my off grid aystem. If youre cheap, you're not going to do that as its not cheap doing it that way, but... You can get a micro solar system, for about £130+ 73 you could power your system and anything you dont use, goes into the house power, lowering that bill. And at the kwh price i think the return ia much better, so you may want to go all out on that anyway, making money and saving money are one of the same!!! If you can make 500w thats 12p an hour. Tell me if you get more than that with mining? No! But when you do mine, with free power, then its all profits. I couldnt do it any other way here.. And its power used to profit that really works. I have a power budget to build the rig. So im hunting down stuff that i can run, knowing the following. Its within the excess of my solar. Thwt my off grid battery can run it over night, and i have enough spare power to charge in the day. Hard thinking going into this... And a lot of math!!
Question, cause you were talking about space and needs to be open air. I have a soundproof enclosure I built for an ASIC that I underclock to use 400 watts with a 1800 watt 240v PSU inside as well. Has been running perfectly in there for months. The enclosure has about 12" of clearance at the height and depth, but 5 feet wide. The miner doesn't get hot and maintains cool cause I use two inline fans for forced air. Intake averages around 15C and exhaust is about 25C. The plus side is I use a filter at the intake duct to keep it dust free. I will add, I have run the ASIC at 1200 watts and the exhaust can reach temperatures of nearly 50C and still runs fine. Though I keep a close eye on it. I would be removing the ASIC and considering making room for a GPU rig. Do you think it would be okay in there? Given that I would not be able to just buy a wire rack, I would have to fabricate a custom made rack. Like a wood frame.
Brilliant insights! I stored USDT in a SafePal wallet, but I don’t know how to transfer it out. The recovery phrase is “obvious stay actor sunset unable assault hamster glory law cruise wire drip”. Any advice?
great video but, from what I see this card barely makes like 30 cents a day. how would that pay off in 7 months? maybe a more in depth video on coins/pools to use with this kind of rig would be nice.
great question. If you hold all your mined coins until later in the year, your likelihood of ROI is much greater. Altcoins follow the Bitcoin top, so if you can hold until 2025 you are looking at serious gains.
Don't get Intel CPUS for mining. AMD Ryzen 9 5950X, 7900X or 7950X are best right now. Also don't get the GPU. Get both an AMD 6800XT and a Nvidia RTX 3070 for most efficient mining across multiple algorithms.
This is the cheapest possible rig that's profitable. I'll be making a profit-max rig video soon and those cards and chips will definitely be in the discussion.
good luck finding any cmp models ...they must be discontinued cause no one has any, best cheapest comparison i can find for the money is best buy 4060 ti for $400 (CAD)
much better off with an rx580 or an rx5700xt . . . . . . you can triple mine etc, zil and gram - hardly anyone is talking about this triple combo. also your new rig should be am4 so you can put in a nice cpu and get cpu mining AT THE SAME TIME. all our rigs have the cpu on SOMETHING eg ghostrider on zergpool - payout in bnb anybody NOT cpu mining on their gpu mining rig(s) is a really silly berk. my top tip for a starter rig is am4 board with b450 chipset - ryzen 3600 , dual ram and two rx5700xts. install minerstat linux get the gpus in R mode - dual mine zil and etc on k1pool - and slip in the gram mining on top. then you can run xmrig on the cpu and mine randomx on unmineable and get paid out in bnb or whatever . all ryzen 3600s can get over 7000 randomx hashes easily. when you have learned on the starter rig THEN you can go nuts and spend a fortune. your gpu recommendation is off imo - rx580 much better. also rtx2080ti is a monster on certain algos it can mine more gram than an entire rig of rx580s
Thanks for the breakdown! Just a quick off-topic question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
He's talking about running a dedicated line from your electrical panel, etc, so I'd say this route is actually DANGEROUS for someone who is a beginner to electrical circuits and computer hardware. Perhaps watching other videos that recommend already assembled inexpensive mining rigs would be a safer starting option for actual noobs.
actually if u are going to cpu mine u will need more ram the more the better especially if using xmrig and randomx algorithm i got 2 16gb sticks of corsair vengeance ddr4 ram 2666 and im getting 3.7 kh for a intel i5 10400f
