so in april all the miners are gonna be cut in half, yikes, i wanted to buy a few asics to get back into mining since i sold all my gpus after the merge but now i kinda wanna wait till after april
I can easily understand the negativity around BTC mining. I mean, let's be honest, it's a niche at this point lol Everyone want to participate and imagine the level of decentralization BTC POW could achieve if it was the case. But the ASIC manufacturers are ruining it, they force you to buy in bulk, they offer you very few choices in term of models. I think a lot of people would love models with far away less power consumption while still being very efficient and it is definitely possible but the manufacturers have their own agendas and incentives lol
Im an asic repair technician and my opinion of bitmain is they make shit! Their warranty is shit! Their quality is shit! And they are trying to make them even shittier with their aluminum backed boards.
