I liked Surtr's portrayal. And I'm glad they cut out the part with Atreus lying to giantess. It undermines all the lessons Atreus learned throughout the game.
While the Sinmara plotline is interesting and in line with a more Mythological "Loki" I'm so glad they didn't go this route and stuck with the "We must be Better " Theme. I need more of that in my life right now.
100% in agreement with all these comments saying the Sinmara story would have undermined Atreus's character arc. I wish they found a way to work Sinmara herself into the finalized story, though. She has such a gorgeous character model.

He was only able to force them like that is because they were in his realm think about it like marvel if you were dormamu dimension he’s even more powerful and can control anything in that realm or the beyonder

Surtur was the first thing I looked for when the game dropped, but disappointing that he wasn’t in the game that much but he was still cool either way
