I also didn't knew that Surtr to became the monster, uses the energy of Ginnun (The Spark)! I am also curious how the first Giant Ymir managed to live in Ginnun like Müspelheim and Niflheim without the Yggdrasil? 🤔
So confused on the purpose of Surtur. We turn him into a monster to tear down the walls of Asgard but we got inside without needing his help. Then he just kills feyr at the end. Why did we need him?
Surtur killing Freyr lines up with the original myths, Freyr owned Summerbrandr, a magical sword that could slice and dice like no other, but he traded it for a chance to find his true love, Surtur then found Summerbrandr and used it to free Fenrir Wolf at Ragnarok, and in the epic final battle, he kills Freyr with it
He wasn't there to tear down the wall my guy. He was there to destroy Asgard entire. That's kind've the whole reason why AFTER the wall is down and AFTER Odin is dead he's stabbing the ground. Freyr died to give the others time to escape before the realm fuggin' exploded. This was one of the biggest, foremost, and repeated points of the whole story. How'd you get confused my guy?
What a waste of a character. Fire Jeff Bridges becomes a giant Groot that gets smacked around and you never get to see him go off on Asgard… unlike the other games this one doesn’t have a single giant monster to fight and that bums me out…

Because he saw an alternative to his destiny that wouldn't kill the love of his life in the process, the fact is he'd either become Ragnarok this way or Odin would eventually track him and his love down to murder them because they were a potential threat

why do i feel like the titans were actually giants
In Norse myth, the jotnar(giants) are a race and come in all shapes and sizes, also most characters are shapeshifters, so not all are big
That can’t work as the Titans predate the giants. The Jotanar were elemental gods meanwhile the Titans were a race of primordials that created the world
I also didn't knew that Surtr to became the monster, uses the energy of Ginnun (The Spark)!
I am also curious how the first Giant Ymir managed to live in Ginnun like Müspelheim and Niflheim without the Yggdrasil? 🤔
Atreus and Angroboda: Talking
Thor in the background:RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
4:41 the sound effects🔥
I just realized why he was forging swords!! He was looking for a blade that could withstand his and the sparks fire. Lucky Kratos showed up
"I don't want to" is a complete sentence. Thats all you need to know
So confused on the purpose of Surtur. We turn him into a monster to tear down the walls of Asgard but we got inside without needing his help. Then he just kills feyr at the end. Why did we need him?
Surtur killing Freyr lines up with the original myths, Freyr owned Summerbrandr, a magical sword that could slice and dice like no other, but he traded it for a chance to find his true love, Surtur then found Summerbrandr and used it to free Fenrir Wolf at Ragnarok, and in the epic final battle, he kills Freyr with it
Surtr was still needed to distract Odin's forces long enough I presume
He's the one who blowed up Asgard at the end
He wasn't there to tear down the wall my guy. He was there to destroy Asgard entire. That's kind've the whole reason why AFTER the wall is down and AFTER Odin is dead he's stabbing the ground. Freyr died to give the others time to escape before the realm fuggin' exploded.
This was one of the biggest, foremost, and repeated points of the whole story. How'd you get confused my guy?
@@firstnext5482 why do they need to destroy asgard tho?
Have you ever had olives? *leans in* It’s pretty good. *Kratos nods and grunts in agreement*
Best character
Its pretty good
I feel bad attreus is shorter then every girl his age
Such are (young)teenagers.
The cry at the end was too much for me :')
Maybe the giants went to other lands where there are other giants in their mythologies.
this is where the profecy changes... only surtr died to make ragnarok
A place that birthed creation…why not also a place that can birth destruction.
Here after Surtr got announced for SMITE.
What a waste of a character. Fire Jeff Bridges becomes a giant Groot that gets smacked around and you never get to see him go off on Asgard… unlike the other games this one doesn’t have a single giant monster to fight and that bums me out…
Bruh, why does Odin, Thor, Buldur, Surtr, and Heimdall look and behave like they smoke Crystal Meth and they are members of The Sons of Anarchy biker gang???🤣💀
I wonder if Ragnarok is as big as the Titans in GOW3
hard to tell, the dead stone mason in GoW 4 was similarly large ...
however what is still more impressive is getting around on cronus as he´s a literal level (and the fact how kratos had to climb for 3 days to reach the temple of pandora s box on him in the first game) same with the hachatonchires in ascension
What if Kratos comes to Norns and has to play the O minigame with all 3 of the norns, and until you suceed you cant travel back in time?
i got questions, why surtr decide to help them after seeing the BoC
cos its got good flame power from greek lands enough to start ragnarok when combined and stabbed into heart or something
Because he saw an alternative to his destiny that wouldn't kill the love of his life in the process, the fact is he'd either become Ragnarok this way or Odin would eventually track him and his love down to murder them because they were a potential threat
@@TheRad114 oh i see... the game didn't explain it very good... so i just feel "should something be explained here?"
So is Sinmara alive or dead? Not quite sure to understand this part
Boi saw surtr and sinmara woo.
I think they made a mistake just having them speak in normal American accents.
It's scenes like these where I really wish that they wen't a different direction with the voice acting. Don't get me wrong, it's absolutely top notch, but everyone having American accents and modern personalities in a game about Ancient Nordic Mythology is more than off putting. I still don't understand how Mimir has a classic Nordic accent when Odin sounds like your uncle jimmy who works at the corner shop.
How the hell do you think Mimir sounds "Nordic"? It's pretty obvious his accent is Scottish, indicating his Celtic origins.
@@jlev1028 It's just semantics. Nordic is often the classification used to refer to that entire region. Also, Scotland technically was a part of the Nordic empire.
@Emperor Mouse Doesn't change the fact that Mimir is a Celtic fae and his accent isn't a classic Nordic one
@@ComradeDrake Regardless my point stands. Mimir atleast sounds like he’s from the region a lot these myths originated instead of having an American accent and on top of that his vernacular is very poetic and flowery- how you would imagine an intelligent man from that time would talk. Even Kratos has a distinct accent. Imagine playing Assassins Creed in ancient Italy and everyone just sounds and acts like Americans from today. I know everyone and their mom loves this game, but this is a genuine issue.
True. It makes sense for Marvel Comic Thor to sound like that In Games because he is Living in the Present but not His Pre Ragnarok Self.
It’s kind of funny that his sacrifice wasn’t needed in the end
not only that but he wasn’t even helpful until the end
Surtur to me sounds like Tom hanks I know it’s not him
Why did they even bother with Ragnarok? All he did was get in the way by moving too fast... abd jukked Freyr.
Go Away 👌🏻
This game kinda throws sutr in the story and it feels really inorganic
So kratos replaced sinmara in "joining" surtr
5:41 go away
SURTR AND SINMARA LOVE STORY REMINDS ME OF BAN AND ELAYNE OF THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS
Could they not just kill odin? Why do they have to start ragnarok? Bunch of innocent asgardians died?
Prophecies
Because Odin has an entire legion of loyal soldiers who needed to be distracted in order to slay Odin. They needed any help they could get.
