Epic Day of Fishing Right Next to the GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE

- It was one of those fishing days you dream of. Everything went to plan. We set out under the Golden Gate Bridge in hopes of fishing for king salmon and california halibut. While fishing for halibut we did a catch and cook on the boat with the salmon we caught just a hour earlier. Teriyaki salmon belly skewers were on the menu. You are going to want to try this for yourself! Double limits for my friend Ahmed and I of Salmon and Halibut!!

That mad dash back in to get rid of the salmon possession and go full reg for Halibut was an awesome move!
Thanks, yeah always wanted to try, needed a day with glass conditions so i can do it faster. Thanks for watching
Most have never experienced double limits. I haven't at 52 yet. Right on! Great day of fishing
Yeah my first time too with those species. Generally a plan with high expectations doesnt happen, glad I was able to pull it off. Thanks for watching
That was awesome day we absolutely killed it. I appreciate the invite it’s always fun fishing with you 🎣👍🏻

I really appreciate you saying that means a lot. Lots of work goes into editing the videos, your comment makes it worth it. Thanks for watching
Epic catch and cook 🤙
Great video Chris
Awesome video! That must have been so awesome to have a day like that! Fresh salmon belly grilled right on the boat, it looked delicious!! Thank you for sharing!
I like your stove and those rod holder brackets !
Crispy crispy crispy fish! That’s the way you do it! Great fishing getting the limits on salmon and halibut!
great day for you out there with double limits.
Man, you sure know how to make the best of a fishing day. Double limits and grilling salmon belly. That’s how life is supposed to be. Keep it going.
I appreciate the nice comment. Yeah I am making the best of my time on the water! Thanks for watching
I’m definitely trying that recipe and amazing job on limits for both species and both people.
Amazing! A truly wonderful day fishing. Great job capturing it on video and producing an enjoyable film. Thanks for sharing.
I appreciate you taking the time to leave the nice comment! Thanks for watching
That video was also a great help in how you set things up, thank you. My fishing partner and I took an older boat out for our first try at open water fishing. We have no fish finder so it was dumb luck and we targeted Lings and rockfish. We did well, with two limits of rockfish, and three nice Lings. My friend released one Ling. Next trip out we would like to give Salmon and Halibuts a try. As I said, you are a big help!!
Pick up a Garmin Striker 4CV for 189.00 easy to setup and use, smaller screen but thats what you get with a cheaper model, bigger screens cost more, hundreds more
Great video Chris. Awesome catch!
epic trip!!!!
What awesome trip Cris . great video
Ahmed’s gotta be the luckiest guy I know. 😏. As far as the salmon belly being “Chris P” I’ll have to take your word for that. 😂
Very exciting and inspiring. Very good video!!! Thanks.
Bro. U killed it again!!!
Great job Chris. I see you wore your lucky socks again. LOL
We love you Chris, keep up the stoke and positivity. Love from the central valley from Bakersfield. Keep up the education and spread of ecology! Its about the lovee. Have a Grateful Live. Happy Birthday Jerry!

Nice job Chris! Btw was cool to see you out at HmB last week.
Your buddy needs to go back to gaffing school,,LOL. Nice catch to both of you.
in the video I mentioned it was his first time using a gaff. Yeah he didnt do good but thats how you learn, when there is a hot bite. Thanks for watching
good job bro a very good epic fishing good video congratulations
Amed almost pulled a "the deep" with that halibut.
Nice vid and fun trip. You must have the stinkiest socks in the Bay Area! Congrats.
lol, cant argue this one. thanks for watching

I appreciate the nice comment! Thanks for watching
Great, great video! Nice editing, calm demeanor, just quality showing. You make me want to hire you when I'm in the Bay area. Thanks! Subscribed.
I really appreciate the kind comment! Lots of work goes into making the videos, its nice when its recognized. Thanks for watching
@@ChrisPfish2 Keep them coming...
Good job guys you killed 👏
17:45 Good thing Ahmed tucks it on the right!
that one took me a second but when i got it lmao. thanks for watching
Love chromers right outta the salt👍🎣
Hecka trip and vid! What nearby launch ramp did you use to make the dual limits possible? Also, no game warden size limit issues with the fresh salmon bellies onboard?
Fishing around the bay has been awesome this summer. Happy to have stumbled onto your channel as a Bay Area based angler
Thanks for checking it out. Happy to hear you enjoy the content! Fishing has been fire!
Double limits of salmon & halibut on a single trip? You guys killed it. Salmon belly grilled top with teriyaki sauce for lunch? What a trip!
Thanks I appreciate it, yeah it was a banger of a day lol
you said " this is really awkward"!! imagine how your fishing buddy felt!!
lol, thanks for watching
Great trip! I don't get out on the water enough so have to fish vicariously through your videos! Question: Is there a site or App you prefer to check for swell conditions? Thanks
I appreciate the support of the channel! I use willyweather.com not an app. I do google search for example "bodega bay swell forecast willyweather" so location followed by swell forecast willweather. I like the visual graph they make. It sees to be accurate as well.
What a perfect day. Do you launch from Sausalito? I see there is a launch there but I can’t find anywhere to park a trailer.
yeah you cant park at that launch. I even called the police department years ago. Trailers have 1hr parking in the 2hr zones they told me. Thanks for watching
Another awesome day fishing! Don't know how you do it finding the perfect days to go out. I thought last Tuesday had all the signs of a perfect day (like 4ft at 18 sec) but ended up being nasty swells and wind. Still got a nice 25 and 29 pounder out where you were at, just a rough day!
Thanks for watching, happy you enjoyed it. I look at wind and swell apps. use windy app for wind and i use willy weather website for swell.
Hey Chris,
Another great video. Do you run a medium/Heavy rod when trolling with a sinker release? Thanks for sharing.
Mikemaria
i dont do sinker release often. m/h sounds right. Thanks for watching
Good fishing there! Good job guys and yeah just turns into another fish story. You never know what is going to grab the bait out there in salt water. I’m guessing it was a little shark that broke his line
Hi Chris..where can buy the same rod holders you have on the back and sides of your boat...thanks a ton.
Hi Chris..cool video...where can I buy the same rods you have installed on the back and sides of your boat...thanks a ton..
Thresher shark is my guess
great stuff, 15:53 i'm thinking flat plastic measuring stick inside of, on bottom of, livewell
Great day on the water boyz! Chris where do you launch when you're heading out the gate?
i use all the launches, Berkley is most common. Thanks for watching
Hey Chris. Do you use a top shot of Flouro or Mono OR do you run strait braid to the swivel (@ the flasher)?? Thanks. - Arie
braid generally for hali & rockfish. mono for salmon. flouro leader on both.
Hi Chris, congrats on the double limits!! Those grilled belly’s looked awesome. Can you tell me the name of the bbq you used? Thanks!
on amazon its called "Coleman Gas Camping Stove". Thanks for watching
Awesome. Looks like a good day on the water. I like the looks of your seeker rod. Is there a chance you can tell me the model# of it?
its g-270-8-ct. CT is the cord handle, without CT its foam handle. Thanks for watching
Hella nice limit out on both species! Where you get the griddle top for that Coleman grill?
it came with it "Coleman Gas Camping Stove" is what the grill is called. Thanks for watching
@@ChrisPfish2 I got a notification from you and want to confirm it’s you and not a scam. Please confirm. Thanks
@@stephaniedoan7114 yeah its a big scam going around. i deleted them
👍👍👊
What is the regulation fishing for salmon then halibut/other species? Are u suppose to use barbless?
yeah if you have salmon onboard you have to use salmon regulations for all species.
You almost lost your pole lol
If that fish didn’t jump that snapped the line it could of been a nice seven gill or soupfin
That’s what I’m thinking also. Shark teeth/or skin cut the line.
@chrispfish grab yourself some Bachans Japanese BBQ sauce, Yuzu flavor, you won’t regret it, great on fish and poultry. Great video, I’m going out of Bodega Bay on Monday the 1st, would be great to meet up and get some pointers if your thinking of going out that day
used that sauce the other night when i cooked some salmon at home. I will have to work the 1st unfortunaly. Thanks for watching
Where do you usually launch your boat when you head out of the bay for salmon? My wife and I want to try there. We go out of Bodega. Great videos!!!
I use all the launches, Berkley is probably most popular. Thanks for watching
yoooooooooooo
Hey Chris are you not crabbing yet over there because here in Washington is open already
yeah crabbing for Dungeness is closed in California. Generally its open nov-june. Thanks for watching
Alright it’s that you Chris what do you need my address or phone number thanks
Nice day on the water. Were you using the anchovies for the Halibut too??
yeah sorry forgot to show the anchovies on the halibut rig. Thanks for watching
What u doing with that Corpus Christi hooks baseball cap from Texas coast “HOOKS BASEBALL”
Woooowee yr partner almost lost his family pride from that Hali, looked like he was close to take off the family jewels lol
lol, yeah it was a close call. thanks for watching and leaving the comment!
Love your videos do you know what the local radio station is for the bay?
to be able to talk with the other boaters
out the GGB most people are on 19. Thanks for watching
@@ChrisPfish2 Awesome hopefully I see you out there some point
Chris you got this salmon thing down, start a limited guide service and I’ll sign right up 😊
I appreciate it, thinking of getting my license as this request is becoming more common. Thanks for watching like always!
@@ChrisPfish2 $200-$300 per trip book me in for 2 trips a year standing order and I’ll even pack you a sandwich. 😉
Spiny dogfish have been breaking us off the same way. Seems like that’s what it could have been.
You fishing the columbia this year?
probably not. My friend who's boat I was on last year sold it and he has a new one on order that isnt ready yet. So hopefully next year.
Kool
What day was this?
July 2022. Thanks for watching
Which Okuma Monterey do you use for salmon and halibut? Thank you
medium- 801M Thanks for watching.
@@ChrisPfish2 Thank you. Is the 801M+ (12-25) too stiff?
@@hoomiish havent tried it. the soft tip is nice. Strong back bone. I have 4 of them. I catch salmon, halibut and sturgeon on it.
@@hoomiish i would say medium+ for rockfish or ling.
@@ChrisPfish2 thank you 🙏
What kind of bbq was that?
i added a link in the video description. Thanks for watching!
I’d guess a thresher shark
That halibut was wrapped in a prop prior to you catching it.
ohh that is a interesting take, i believe it, thanks for the comment
Great trip salmon and halibut can't beat it. The fish that got away was probably a salmon.😆
Thanks for the comment. I think salmon too most likely. Leader probably broke from all the fish we caught on that rod, not included were the shakers i didnt show.
He don’t play with the gaff.
yeah it was his first time.
This is really awkward! 😀😄
Possible a shark? 22:04
B
No special license to fish 5 rods ?
not in the ocean targeting halibut with no salmon or rockfish on board. Basically some fish have restrictions some dont. Thanks for watching
Why are you always in socks???
i start off in shoes... Its just so nice out, going for comfort over style points i guess. Thanks for watching
Absolutely appalling how you cooked those bellies
how so dino?
@@ChrisPfish2 let your oil get hot first before you throw the salmons on it so you can sear it. You could have been marinating the salmons in your soy sauce while you were going for halibut. Just technique stuff, I’m sure it’s amazing regardless, that salmon is stupid fresh, and I probably sound like an asshole. But we can do better
@@deanmarcic8447 The comment just says a lot about who you are as a person.
I don’t understand why you measure the halibut after you’ve already took them out them water with the hook stick…so wouldn’t they die if they weren’t a keeper ?
i am measuring for you the viewer. it doesnt make the video better showing the size of the fish?
