Nice work! I've been fishing up in Washington my whole life and have never broke the 30 mark. I bet your heart was pumping cool-aid when you first saw that toad by the boat....
You had a good day out there! Tough with no one to net. I got a 34 (gutted) a couple years ago off the Estero in pretty close (100' of water) and I was pumped tf up.
Unbelievable fish dude. You deserve it! Congratulations! Black lights charge glow products better and faster than regular flashlight. Give it a try. Cheers 🍻
Super new to salmon fishing in the Salt. I've been on many charters but taking my own personal boat is a different story. Just looking for general locations
thanks for checking out the channel! You really only have three starting points in the bay area. Half moon bay, bodega bay and out the golden gate bridge. All of them have charters that leave at 545-6. You can follow the boats... If not try and find boats trolling around or look for whales feeding, birds diving or bait on the fish finder. Muir beach to Stinson beach is a good starter, just makes sure weather is good because its always a little rough at the point outside the ggb. good luck!
Way to go Chris very nice fish, now I guess a 40 lbs is next on your list. They are out there… keep that content coming I very much enjoy them and I really enjoyed your Tahoe one…..
Yep over the years I have had several salmon over 40lbs, all from the dux area. Several back in the day of mooching, one on a fbr, several on crowbar and cable baiters. Biggest was 48 lbs. Last year put in a 39lber. I also see you fish alone is that by design. I am sure you have millions that want to fish with you. Maybe you will do another subscriber trip. Anyway keep those vids coming… tight lines
Awesome Chris nice fish was out there last Sunday 8 miles south 10 limits up to 25 lb be back out when weather settles I put those Scotty R5 on an they r awesome
Tuck your mesh on your net to your handle using an elastic or a hair tie. Then when you net the fish it'll pop off the handle and fully bag the fish. Keeps the mesh away from getting tangled. Tight lines, awesome fish 🎣
Solid fish! My PB was caught on my 1st ever mooching trip in 1986 in Monterey on Sam’s fishing charters I wasn’t catching anything that day everyone else was but me I was only 10 years old and I remember it like it was yesterday the captain comes up to me and says don’t worry you’ll catch a big one! Sure enough I’m letting my Chovy down and it gets smacked! And it’s on all I remember was the fish taking me around the boat like 2-3 times it was one pissed of salmon after a good fight we get it in the boat and he yell jackpot lol the fish weighed in at 30lbs It’s been my PB for 36 years now! Oh and I won $150 bucks I still have the pics of that day we limited out for 40 people.
i used to do that but learned its worse. You lose control of the fish, it goes all around the boat, this way I keep control of the fish. I lowered my speed as the fight was going on. Probably started at 3mph when hooked, going 1 to 1.5 mph at time of net. thanks for watching
Hi Chris, was wondering why you have your heading opposite of your radar. Seems to me it would be easier with both headings up. Great footage and great fish
Great to see you in my old boat out there on the meat
Thanks, that is still one of my favorite fishing days ever!
Checked out a few of your videos! Hopefully your cancelled trip due to engine failure wasn’t serious?

happy to hear you enjoyed the tahoe one. Right 40lb. I see people catch them but never one on a scale, maybe at the end of the season i can find one!
Yep over the years I have had several salmon over 40lbs, all from the dux area. Several back in the day of mooching, one on a fbr, several on crowbar and cable baiters. Biggest was 48 lbs. What size and kind of boat you’re running?
Wow nice fish Chris. Well done. Come to Canada for salmon
good salmon bro congratulations
Wow, nice solo Salmon. Looked like you were struggling a bit with that one. Funny when you said and with sox on to. Lol Congrats on your PB.

Bro...and you caught it with socks on!! Nice fish.
Dang 32! I remember catching kings in Alaska 40 plus pounds good stuff
Great fish and helpful tips! That’s awesome no fish and wildlife people were there to take the head.
lol i kinda thought about that too!
Where do you launch your boat in at when you fish Bodega bay? And how long does it take you get out ?
You funny! Socks on!! Lol!!
What kind of rods are you using for salmon trolling ?
okuma monterey
Nice fish, congratulations!!!! Easier to net a fish with boat in nuetral, especially when your solo.
i used to do that but learned its worse. You lose control of the fish, it goes all around the boat, this way I keep control of the fish. I lowered my speed as the fight was going on. Probably started at 3mph when hooked, going 1 to 1.5 mph at time of net. thanks for watching
No rear dorsal, not a wild salmon . One of many trucked in salmon. Very nice catch.
??
What channel do you monitor on your radio?
9 in bodega, 19 out the ggb or hmb. 69 is used in all locations it seems lol
Wow what a great fish! Nice limit.😁🐡
Nice hawg
Hi Chris, was wondering why you have your heading opposite of your radar. Seems to me it would be easier with both headings up. Great footage and great fish
Great fish, congrats...that would have totally sucked if the snagged net caused a bigger problem than it did...
are those anchovies or smelt from the stomach?
Dude same thing happened on a solo trip, net caught and couldn’t net the fish! Awesome vid.
Thank you! Great videos your producing!
@@ChrisPfish2 thanks sir!
