    Thank you for your thorough explanation of stabilising. I have noticed that the stabilising method I was using was crinkling. So frustrating! I used your method and it works! Many thanks.

    What I tried is a wet pressing cloth and a wet interfacing. It glues very well even after washing clothes that you had sew. I loved how it worked out.

    Can you please give some suggestions for interfacings in South Africa? The local stores only have interfacing that once is set actually feels like a cardboard. It's light interfacing but no brand or anything. Not like overseas. Any suppliers you can suggest please. Very helpful info

      Please join my WhatsApp group for updates on products. I have a fusible interfacing kit that I. Am announcing next week. It includes the soft stretch interfacing for knits and soft wovens as well as a slightly firmer cotton interfacing that I use. I use Freudenberg interfacings which is a German brand. Most of their fusible have codes instead of a name, but the cotton one is called Korlene

    Hi Elsabe Great tutorial from a fellow SA, haven't come across many SA you tubers. Such a pleasant surprise. Thank you. Will this method also work for felt? Have you ever used fabric interfacing? Is it available in SA?

    • @ElsabeHurn
      @ElsabeHurn  9 месяцев назад

      Hi Kathy, thank you for watching. I only use fabric interfacing when sewing. I am not a fan of the paper like interfacings. I have different weights of interfacing so that it matches the fabric I am working with.
      I don’t sew with felt so just do a test on your felt to see how it works.

      Thanks for your reply. Only now do I see you were demonstrating with fabric i/facing. Can't seem to find it here in the E Cape, have even tried googling for suppliers in South Africa, with no success. Fabric interfacing has been recommended for felt.
      Where do you purchase I/facing ? TIA

    • @ElsabeHurn
      @ElsabeHurn  9 месяцев назад

      I get my interfacing from my wholesale supplier. I sell a fusible interfacing box with different weights of the fusible fabric interfacing. I am out of stock at the moment and will only have stock again in January. I have seen some fabric fusible locally at the Dubai Centre fabric shop and sometimes at Chamdor Factory sales. They do ship orders, so give them a call to see if they can help you.

    What is the interfacing manufacturer?

    • @ElsabeHurn
      @ElsabeHurn  Год назад +1

      The soft interfacings is from Freudenberg, a German company. Not sure about the firm interfacing as I bought that a while ago from a local fabric store.
