I have found that SF101 with the dots of glue for fusing) (despite pressing it carefully) that after it has been ironed a few times, my outer fabric gets "wrinkles" or puckering (I had a stitched opening that required pressing after I turned my bag project right side out - to smooth the fabric again.) I also get little pieces of the dots of glue down in my bobbin casing area (I have a Babylock Ballad). After sewing many bags I needed to have my machine serviced to get those little "sticky" things out. I'm going to use sew in fleece like TP970 (Pellon) or Pellon 988 (again sew in fleece) instead. I have long discarded fusible interfacing for clothing for the same reason - it eventually puckers after washing and drying. I'll stick to sew in interfacings to stiffen and shape my craft projects. Thank you for the video - it was very informative.
Terrific video!! Did you compare how they wrinkle the fabric at all? I find that when I turn a bag with shape flex it will wrinkle and will not iron out. I wondered if woven fuse was less wrinkly.
Thanks! I read this today as I had no idea what woven fuse was and my pattern called for it. I don't know if you've done a tutorial comparing Pellon 987, decolite and Soft and stable. I will be googling that next. I know what I own but need to understand what can be substitued.
I love shapeflex as it is so much like cotton & just feels nice in hand. I have some scalloped edged kaleidoscope blocks I hope to reverse edge applique with the Shape flex & hope it adheres well because many seams & a bit thick at center points. My main goal is to turn edge cleanly with a minimal seam (1/8")so not to cut outer pattern around scallop. 🤞
I only made 1 bag before and when I interfaced it, the bag fabric ended up with a horrible grainy texture. It put me off trying to make another. I am wondering if decovil light is any good for bags?
I don't have a sample to be able to show you, but I think the difference is that the original woven fuse has the dots of glue and the wovenfuse 2 has the full glue on the back. It also is a little heavier weight and gives more structure.

Exactly the demonstration and comparison I needed. Thank you
Thank you for this video really needed a explanation of the different interfacing and how to use! 👏😊
Thanks for the work done in comparing them. I’ve never paid $5 a yard for shape flex. It’s always on sale at Joann or hobby lobby thanks
Thank you for this! Interfacing is always befuddling and I like this comparison!
Thank you. I've been looking for something lightweight for the facings on casual shirts; this is a big help.

Exactly the information I was looking for. Thanks so much!
Thanks a lot for this video and experimenting on each of them.
My pleasure!

Which one sews embroidery best
Sorry I don't do embroidery so I can't answer that one for you. Perhaps someone else can comment.
What is the difference between wovenfuse and wovenfuse2?, I can't find a answer before I purchase it
