First, thank you so much for the depth of knowledge you share in your videos! You are the only person I’ve found who has a method (that they’ve shared, at least) for prewashing/shrinking interfacing, which is exactly the question I needed answered. Subscribed, and off to purchase your PDF! Thanks again!
Could you use the same type of fusible interfacing you used in your beautiful silk dress outer pieces to other fabrics that would wrinkle easily, such as linen? Would that help keep the wrinkling to a minimum?
Great video. I'm still a bit confused. There are non-woven interfacings, got that. Is there a specific type of interfacing for knits/jersey only? I can't find one marked that? Your links no longer work and so am not sure what to get on Amazon for what you call an 8 way knit interfacing. You help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
Sometimes products change, so thanks for catching this. I now carry a knit tricot fusible which I love as well: www.londas-sewing.com/product-page/french-fuse-20-wide-fusible-interfacing-white I'll check the rest of the links as well...but they should work.
I'm sure that would likely work. Give it a try! Just always pre-shrink BOTH fabrics. IMHO, nothing works like real silk, but in these days of financial strain, sure...give synthetics a try.

Thank you for making this video! I needed to learn about applying pressure. Proper Fusing = Heat + Steam + Pressure 💜
ALL important - each aspect. Thanks for taking time to comment.
Thank you ❤ ! I have also been disappointed with Pellon nonwoven fusible. Great tips!
So much information shared. Thank you!!
My favorite Interfacing video! Really demystifying for me
Awesome video & download! I'm a newbie to sewing and this gave me the confidence I needed. Thank you!

Wash the fabric with (after you sew it in) the interfacing?
Can you use a synthetic organza for interfacing?
I'm sure that would likely work. Give it a try! Just always pre-shrink BOTH fabrics. IMHO, nothing works like real silk, but in these days of financial strain, sure...give synthetics a try.
How do you fuse interfacing to fabric that is dry clean only?
That shouldn't prohibit or change the application method at all. Go right ahead. ALWAYS test though!
I heard that steam isn’t good in fusing interfacing?
DEFINITELY NOT TRUE - in my opinion and experience. Steam is NEEDED - along with heat and pressure.
