I need to know what size or where to get the bolt that hold the shaft of the wing window to the regulator. The one in the hole you took out last before the adjusters
I have a 65 GTO I need to raise the window like 1/8" + as it hits the chrome when opening theres plenty of room at the top. Also wont shut all the way. Is it possible to raise it?
Hi, what chrome are you referring to? The door or the drip edge or wing window trim? There is a lot of adjustments you can make on the channel where the glass is secure too. You might have to use a spacer to adjust in or out depending on the adjustment. I hope this helps. All the best
@@classicrewind2715 when opening the vent wndw the bottom chrome piece stops the wndw from opening so if I can raise the glass a bit would really help. Plus the prior owner installed the rubber flashing around it and its so tight on the bottom it wont fully close, so Im hoping to raise it
It might be possible that the Previous owner might have installed the wrong weather stripping. I will look into that before you do any adjustments. I don't think you could raise the wing window, the vent window sits on pivot Points. that's how the 68 vent windows are. It's been awhile since I first was a 65
@@classicrewind2715 I did have a brain light and took a rubber mallet to the trim lightly tapped a bit so it barely clears but still doesnt close all the way could be the rubber weather strip is wrong theres lots of room top of window so I thought maybe if I could raise it it might work right. Ive even trimmed the rubber a little still doesnt close
good videos. I'll refer to these when I do my door glass. Thanks
Thanks , hope your doing well.
All the best
The vent windows were great for air flow!

Give me a minute mark on the video so I know exactly which bolt you're talking about.

If I'm not mistaken, that bolt is common throughout the door. 3/8 hex head about a half inch long.
I had a set of those windows yrs ago. Sold them for $150 probably cheap back then!
It is very difficult to get original Windows of these days. All the best I hope you're doing well
The lower adjustment can stay on the wing frame. You need to take it to the back of the door at the latch and it will come up there
Thanks for commenting. Yes, you can slide the window to the rear. There is a slot there so it will slide out. All the best.
so could i remove the vent on my 68 chevelle and put 69 ventless glass in it? thanks
No. It won't work frames and mounting brackets are different

There is a little adjustment on the inside . Try to loosen the bolt and lift it up

Good to know. I never heard of it. I would have to look into it. Thank you for the info
