I already have the firma esc in my new kraton v5. I just ordered another firma 150 esc to put in my typhon 3s. Gonna keep the motor stock and run it on 4s. Thanks for showing us this works. Only using 20t so my motor will be even cooler.

Yep I have mine set up on the 120 amp spectrum esc stock motor steel spur gear a 20 t pinon and it rips. That's all you need can get very hot needs a better esc fan added a big fan on the motor.

Congrats and enjoy! With 4s, just make sure you don’t do to High up on the pinion gear. If anything, leave it stock with the 15t unless you put smaller tires on it! 3s is plenty in this rig! Enjoy! 🤝💪🏎💪🤝🤝

Take off the two screws on that hold it to the receiver box. The new reciever needs to go in at an angle. 2050 kv motor fits the stock motor mount perfect.
I put the 6s typhon 23 tooth in one of mine esc and motor. Not tested but I’m afraid of gears stripping. The OEM Is fast enough, but it’s all about fun, great video!
I just got the big rug last week and it is extremely fun and has tons of power the red cat because you is capable of running success though so it kind of depends on what your cup of tea is but either way you can’t go wrong both trucks are extremely fun to Bash!!!

Sorry for not being clearer. I put a Ec-5 plug on one battery cable from the esc so I could run just one 4s battery pack vs running two 2-s battery packs.

How do you get the old off esc and the new smart esc on? Isnt it connected to the receiver box. Also can you fit the 2050kv motor in there also?

I ran about 4-5 packs through the motor with 4s and about 4 packs with 6s. I did not notice any issues at all.

Temps were good, but I live in Minnesota.
I did not use a temp gun to test, but I could keep my fingers on the motor for 5 seconds plus.
