    Great video I just bought a arrma senton 3s blx in July and I am very impressed with everything about it jumped to a 128mm tire getting a little cogging so installing a 15 tooth to compensate for the bigger tires your video made it super easy thanks

    Fingers crossed the v3 3s range don't have the same problem.

    I watched this about a dozen time along with a few others setting my mesh. One thing I fought were the grooves the screw had in the plate from the factory. Trying to move it just a bit the screw wanted to fall back in those grooves. The washers will take care of that along with keeping the mesh tight.

    Arrma needs to make the spur smaller and pinion bigger so that they can fully seal the bottom of the module. Dirt and grit always finds it's way in and chews thru spurs.

    Was it the pinion gear that was recommended to be plastic when changing or some other gear ? I also own a big rock but today we heard a bad sound while driving it slowly for the first time and i guess i overdid the throttle while having the go pro attatched to it (increasing weight and strain) and some gear must have stripped. Can you think which is the most likely one ? Thanks in advance !

    • @moerc

      Sometimes if you don’t mesh the pinion and spur correct it can strip the spur. Pinion is always metal.

    Hi Moe, all the way from Indonesia. I am getting the Big Rock, will be shipped from Horizon to a friend in TX an hopefully here. I don't have good access to parts so I also ordered about 100 bucks of spare parts. On to the pinion, I know it is subjective but what do you suggest. i will run 3s and really I am looking for a fun, reliable and easy going basher. I don't jump to the moon or even to where the mosquitos fly, for outright speed i have cheap, brushless sct and on 2s the ting is fast enough (no good tracks here, so mostly running on the street, too much power as is). So this will run in parks, on the grass or the beach. I was thinking to get just a smaller one, like 13??? Any input will be appreciated on the pinon or must have upgrades/spare parts. Got arms, shock rebuilt, spur gear, slipper clutch kit, ball joints and arms, shock shafts/yoke kit, steering knuckle, diff case, some o rings....Thx

    • @moerc
      @moerc  4 года назад +1

      Indonesia? I love it! Nice work on all the spares you purchased. This should be adequate. The big rock v3 (knock on wood) is a beast. I have not replaced anything on mine and drive it hard.
      As for the the pinion, I would go with an 18t. Give you some more top speed without sacrificing too much low end. Also the motor temps will be good. I have a 13t but have never put it in. This truck has so much torque and wheelie with a 15t, not sure what type of terrain you would want a 13t for.
      Hope the new year went well! Have a good day and appreciate you being here!
