  • On my last day on the River Tay in April 2023 I visit Edradynate high up the Tay System. I have looked at this fishery often via Fishpal and always wondered what it would be like. I was also drawn to it because it is Dog Friendly!
The salmon fishings cover a beat of just over 3 miles on the River Tay. There are six named pools - Tom-an-Droighne, Cluny Ferry, Poltewan, Glide, Church and The Pot - of which Church Pool is the best known and is probably the most productive on the Aberfeldy to Strathtay stretch. The Edradynate and Upper Grandtully water is one of the best-known beats on the Upper Tay.
Hi, my name is Chris and my channel is called Cornish Chris the Fish. I am a Cornishman venturing out beyond the Duchy (of Cornwall) to experience life on the road full time touring in my Caravan Dalleth Arta, fly fishing for Salmon and vlogging my adventures. I am charting my salmon fly fishing adventures and will profile each fishery that I attend. I may even catch a few fish 😀. All views are my own good or bad.

FISHDEE 24 - Hey everyone, along with my friends Russ and Calum we've entered a 24 hour fishing marathon supporting the River Dee Trust. Fishing means many things to many people, such as getting out in the fresh air and into the elements, this has never been more important for our physical and mental health over recent years.
The River Dee Trust is delighted that we have a great group of individuals from all over the U.K who will come together to share an experience of a lifetime and make memories with new people, all while raising funds for the River Dee Trust and our conservation and restoration programmes to protect our iconic Wild Atlantic Salmon on the River Dee in Scotland.
As Team "Relentless Fishers" we are aiming to raise £1500 between us for this very worthy cause and I hope you will consider donation / sponsoring our fund raising efforts - and of course the whole 24 hour event will be covered in my channel.

Looks a nice bit of water, that tail above the fast water looked like a good lie. Good luck on the Tweed, I had 2 days this last week, managed 3 springers, typically Tweed spring fish, 7-8lb.
    Tight lines

Another brilliant video. I noticed you never tried to catch the canoeists there seems to be more of them about than springers at the moment 😂. The Kelly kettles are great we have one that is invaluable on fishing trips.

Hi Chris , love your videos. On a personal note, I notice that you ,like myself are of fuller figure man dare I say. I have to buy a new pair of waders and I wondered if you would recommend the ones you are wearing for size and comfort? Out of interest, what size are yours please?

Lovely bit of water and Tomas is a knowledgeable guy and very good fly tyer.
I notice you are sometimes a little bit quick with your circle/snap casts , if you really want to the best from them with the sinking tips you can afford fo slow down a wee bit and focus on completely the circle by the rod coming more into your own bank and make a slightly bigger circle, you will get better d loop alignment and a longer power stroke which makes the cast much easier .
Your casting has improved alot in the short time I've been watching you
