- Windows 11 ready for daily use? In this video, I'm taking a first look at the first official Windows 11 insider build!
Windows Insider tweeted that the first developer build/insider preview of Windows 11 is released for Windows Insiders. I have decided to install this Windows 11 insider preview build to give you some first impressions! I have noticed that it is a lot more stable than I expected it to be. Been playing some games and editing 4K videos without any problems. I cannot wait for the official public beta!
Talk about Windows 11 in our Discord!

After watching the Microsoft Live Event together during my live stream, I am so happy to provide you with the first look at the first official Windows 11 build. During my first impressions of Windows 11, I have already noticed some potential improvements and features that might add functionality. Soon I will make a video about everything (I think) you need to know about Windows 11.
Little easter egg, Windows 11 might release on 20 October! The first beta build will probably be available around July/August.

I've been an insider for almost 4 years now. They recommend not installing these builds on your main device, and I, as a good enthusiast, proceeded to install it on my main device :) but let me tell you, this build is one of the most stable builds I've ever seen in the dev channel, i only found two bugs and they're UI, nothing that affects my workflow
For me everything works fine, except the goddamn clock.
@@Alexei1727 what's going on with your clock?
I've had the exact same experience, incredibly stable for a first dev build!
Also make a backup just in case!
Yeah they are just warning but as my perspective its works incredibly smooth and future updates might be better
The visual aspect of Windows 11 is incredible. More modern and intuitive, which makes it more attractive for people who never used a PC before :)
100%. I have been waiting a long time for a new look. The rounded corners, new icons, and animations really help!
The settings app looks amazing
100% agreed!
woahh the animation style looks nice! :D
Happy to hear that. Thanks!
Great videos, keep up the good work! Excited for W11!
Thank you, had 4 hours sleep to make this video!
Keep going bro, ur content is glorious ❤️
Thank you so much!
Amazing video! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you 😘
I had a bad feeling about Windows 11 from what I've seen so far... Your video changed that!! Thanks :)
No worries! I'm loving Windows 11
Win 11 is very promising 🤩. The new ui design looks dope.
I just hope they iron out all the inconsistencies out of the ui and make everything uniform in the final stable build.
The Settings App looks so much better than in Windows 10.
Absolutely! Looks like the Control Panel is still the old design. Wish they combined them...
Yay new video 🔥

It's just amazing...
ikr!
Cool video! 🔥
Thanks 🔥
The different layout panel if you hover over it is what I wanted
I have to get this when its put!
Ik moet dit meteen hebben als dit uit is!
Soon!
Snel!
5:02 It seems like you can add tabs with the "+ New" icon on the top left? Anyway, I'm very excited for Win 11!
new as in new file
No that opens a context menu to create a new folder or a new text file for example.
Wish that was true, it allows you to create a new file/folder.
Oh, ok. I remember Microsoft already worked on tabs in file explorer and Word etc a few years ago, so I'd be surprised if there isn't anything similar in the final version.
Thank you for confirming it's ready for daily use! Cause all i do daily is open the start menu, widgets and windows store.
I've been able to game and edit videos on it perfectly, I almost can say it works faster than Windows 10. Booting is faster, UI is faster, and games are automatically HDR.
Wow... I love the new Windows 11....
Finally someone that installed it on their main machine. I did too!
Great! How has it been for you?
@@felixkruip its been -15 fps for me :)
Running it on my laptop. Video drivers are constantly updating, earlier those had bugs that crashed or hanged the OS.
We need to hear about Windows 11 testing docker with WSL2, and eGPU (docker nvidia).
Windows 11 looks so cool
I used it for daily use right away. It was just a straight upgrade.
@@le24_qr6nod no games run like trash
This is the best and the most stable builds... so far its been so good... have been gaming on it and even got a few updates which slightly made the look more frosted glassy type... Its really good... And I love it!!!!! The only thing I've noticed so far tho is that tho almost all apps have rounded corners, the Microsoft Office apps do NOT have rounded corners which is a disappointment...
So you would recommend downloading it now and using it as a daily driver? Because I am not sure if i should download it, cause most of the people say you should not do it yet.
@@jarnevandoorn7028 Well.... Uh... There are some bugs... And I only recommend downloading windows 11 just for like checking it out and exploring... As a daily driver, I suggest sticking to windows 10 until windows 11 officially is available for the public
Please make more videos about cleaning up windows!
Windows kinda cleaned itself...
@@felixkruip Windows 10* lol
I did feedback Windows insider for the white flash we have in dark mode when opening explorer.
Thanks! Indeed we need some improvements still here and there, but for a first dev build, this is already amazing.
@@felixkruip this was already present in Windows 10. Hope they will correct it.
I am your big fan
And I am YOUR big fan!
I see Keychron, I press like 😂
Keychron is goat
Using this buld rn, its fine performance wise no crash. Just some toggles arent working in settings
Same, but for a first dev build, it's amazing (in my opinion)
@@felixkruip task manager still white in dark mode tho :( and i hate the new right click loll, otherwise its really looking good
Not only UI is fab. ( Although i don't like that show more options thing on right click on desktop)
But I felt windows 11 consumed a bit lesser RAM then Windows 10, and was smoother as well
How for game experience at this build?
Hi there mate, Hey i just have one doubt hope you'll clear it. If i join the Dev build and install the developer version of Windows 11 then will I be forced to do a clean install of stable version of Windows 11 once it released? Or will be just like a normal update with all my files just the way i left them
Normal update!
updated to windows 11 but did not get the new settings app...
Windows 11 is very beautiful
Agreed.
Im excited to try Windows 11. I consider to switch to Insider Mode to try Windows 11 on my daily machine. I cant wait to use Windows 11, but is thus version stable enough for daily use of my pc?
slow settings when you are opening it again, maybe that is only my issue so far when using it daily
Did you already install it?
@@felixkruip I did and it works very good!!
I have a question:
If we install the build via windows insider preview, do we able to get back to the original version of windows 11 when it is available for public?
Of course!
Yoo how do you make that cool intro?
Hiring one of the best animators in the business.
when will exactly windows11 will come to beta channel?
later this summer, so probably late July
This got accidentally installed on my computer I really don't want to downgrade back to windows 11 but I need to see If I can actually use it on my main machine.
My windows 11 isn’t showing the option for iPhone when I click “open your phone” is there an update I am missing?
Thanks!
So, is it worth installing W11 build for daily use? Is it okay?
I have the same question. If irs stablr enough i woukd install it
@@Sam70594 Its pretty Stable for me so far, No issues encountered!
Specs:i9 9900k, 16gb ram, 5700xt, 700WPSU
I downloaded it and literally nothing changed, help
How can you open Spotify like that at 3:20 How come that search bar on desktop
Are you still using your IDASEN desk?
Yessir!
if i upgrade and the games/apps i use don’t work well can i downgrade back to W10 without having to do a clean windows install? also once am in the insider program would i keep getting future W11 updates as they roll out? and finally once windows 11 officially release will i get the update to download the official version?
Yes, you will be able to easily downgrade to Windows 10. I did with 0 problems. You will get future updates as long as you are registered for Insider builds, or the official version once that get released.
CAN I INSTALL WINDOWS 11 INSIDER ON MY MAIN COMPUTER ?
Still wondering if I should use this as my daily driver. What's the most that could go wrong?
Same over here. It just could be pretty unstable or some apps or drivers won‘t work on Windows 11 yet. But I think it looks pretty smooth, but of course that depends on what specs you have in your computer. But i really wanna test it and in a world where we have most of our data on clouds it is pretty safe in my opinion, so i think i‘ll donwload it in a few days or weeks.
Just do a backup of your data and you'll be fine. Personally I have not experienced any crashes or critical bugs.
@@Lusc1nt Im using it for a while now and for me it is completely fine. Sometimes some things just load a bit longer but besides that everything is fine.
6:10 how is that you have iPhone option in the app and i don't?
No idea honestly..
azazing sir ? how price sain
CAN WE UPGRADE TO THE OFFICIAL BUILD OF WINDOWS 11 AFTER INSTALLING THE INSIDER PREVIEW ?
make another video on make windows more like mac os
Anyone has a link to the wallpaper from the quick little tutorial on how to get the build at the end of the video?
It's on wallpaper engine!
@@felixkruip Alright, thank you so much!
How does it perform while gaming?
Fantastic. Might be better than Windows 10. Also, Bluetooth seems to work a lot better..
if we use this version can we use the final version when it come ? i mean can we upgread it for free ??
thanks for the video
sure!
Which app did he use at 3:18?
It’s called Powertoys Run. Google it and you find it on the Microsoft website!
have a shot every time he says nice haha
Nice
Can you install programs from the store ? Or from other places ?
You can download some store wich will allow you to also download Google Playstore apps
You can download from store, sideload APK (android) apps, or install natively.
@@felixkruip that will be android emulators will die soon? R.I.P bluestacks, noxplayer XD
Can we get iso file
Currently it’s only available for people that are in the Dev Insider group with Microsoft.
Did you lose your data after installing the insider build ?
Nope, surprisingly enough everything booted the same. Even wallpaper engine haha
@@felixkruip OK and did you face any major bugs in the biuld like can it be used as a daily driver ?? PLs answer as im thinking to update to it
Is insider preview stable??
Kinda yea, no major issues
Looks like some kind of KDE PLASMA variant for me. Anyone else feel the same.?
Now that you say it...
hey just wanted to ask, i have purchased a new nvme for my laptop, so is it ok to install win 11 on it? will it affect ssd in any manner?
I use NVME M2, works great!
@@felixkruip are you using on vm or directly on main pc? Also any major bug that made u shut down abruptly, did it ever occur?
Used it on main pc. No major bugs, just went back to win10 in case
When will final version release??
End of this year and beginning of 2022
An idea for the future ... They've been working on Windows for 38 bloody years. Christ, I'm gonna be dead before the future arrives.
lol
ProTip: Use VMware Workstation Player to see what Microsoft MacOS 11 (I mean Windows 11) will look like without overwriting your existing Windows 10 system. Google "How to Install Windows 11 in a Virtual Machine" and go to the Tom's Hardware link for detailed instructions on how to do it. It's all free.
7:16 Inconsistency yay!!!
Yea! I think it will be so consistent when they release the first public beta (I hope later this month).
@@felixkruip Hope they fix it
How can i have it i did sign in insider dev but i still not got the update
restart and check on update
Also check the compatibility!
Thanks i just did the wrong channel when i switched to developer i got the update
@@tblackcattt Awesome, have fun with it!
Is this Dev build or Beta?
First dev build! Beta is probably coming end this month
@@felixkruip thanks!
Guys my pc have all the requirements but the health app says it's still not campatible, what should i do??
Do you have TPM 2.0 enabled?
Edit: we might be able to help you out over @ Discord
@@felixkruip yes i have TPM 2.0 enabled
@@Ghost_Trader-FX I'm pretty sure the app checks if your cpu is on the supported list, not only above the cpu requirements, so if I were you I wouldn't worry, there's people under spec that have installed the preview, as long as your PC is half decent and you boot on an SSD Windows 11 will work properly I think
@@santiagomonteromendez1371 so are you saying i will be able to update it via the check update settings or using another method?
@@Ghost_Trader-FX well, windows 11 comes out early 2022 so I'm not sure about it, but if something is sure is that if you really want to use it you'll be able to use it just fine, maybe you'll have to use an ISO maybe Microsoft will just warn you that your PC isn't fully compatible but let you update anyways
Best, Chrome extensions please...
Great idea, already had this on the schedule!
@@felixkruip love you sir ❤️
Can I roll back to W10 from W11
I think you can, but I do recommend you to make a restore point.
Please make something for windows 7 I beg you please😭😭😭
Haven't used Windows 7 in 10 years, and I am not planning to use it ever again haha
@@felixkruip please buddy my computer has low ram for windows 10 I need some expert advice for my own windows. Please it's such a classic
@@peteophelia3424 bro leave windows 7 and join windows 10 LTSC i think it would work fine too in your pc
People: dont like the windows 11 icons
Me who has custom icons: ••
Wait, people don't like the new Windows 11 icons??
@@felixkruip yeah they don’t… its quite weird if you ask me
Also, I know this might sound kind of cringe, but the icons remind me of windows vista theme
Hi my name is Dejan Lovren
Hi Dejan, my name is Felix!
What is hilarious is some people hating on an OS that they know they are going to install on their computers anyway even when they have the option to go iOS or Lixus or whatever, nothing but a bunch of keyboard warriors trying to look edgy on the internet, because apparently it is cool to hate on shit on the internet.
I can tell they got a lot of insperation from linux... cuz apparently linux is now called 'nobody else'
I useboth macos big sur and windows 10 and windows look ugly and outdated, and i think, look wise, windows 11 has caught upto macOS and better functionality wise.
It's not ugly on it's own. But what makes it ugly is the inconsistency in the design. Design language from as far as windows 95 can still be seen in certain ui elements.
@@Leon98Leo 👆🏼 this!
I came to see if Windows 11 was ready for daily use and just got a review with little insight on stability ;/
I can tell you that the last few builds have been very stable. This build was the first developer build that came out. The latest public beta is very stable. Editing 4K video, gaming and screen recording on it right now.
@@felixkruip thanks
