I wouldn't use adhesive, or brackets like those, wood will move and needs a little space around. Brackets with a slot for cross grain movement also. Might be fine though as it is only a small worktop.

I would have checked level before glueing or screwing the top down.

I would of also stained and sealed it before install just my preference but good job!
