You are doing a wonderful job, Stefan. I tried using the instruction book that came with the RC-3, but quickly abandoned it and used your videos. Well done!
These are the BEST vids for teaching looping. The split screen and visual indicator of the progress bar and loop/play is most important to teach. Hearing it / Seeing it and then doing it is the BEST way to learn anything
Just bought this and immediately went to band practice, this is exactly what I was struggling with trying to actually use it in the song, this is super helpful.
Stefan you are the best tutor and clear about the stage of looping , thanks to you i have gone back to using my Boss rc 2 that was rusting in a corner, thanks
I'm so happy to hear that. There are so many loopstations out there rusting in corners because so many get frustrated when trying in the first place. Give it a chance!!! :-)
Thanks to you, my RC-3 is now crammed with 50 homemade loops and it's a great home jamming tool. I'm going to fill it up to 99 and back it up on PC! Thanks!
Love the videos Stefan! I'd love for your next tutorial to be about managing the pedal on the CPU, how to load tracks and things like that! Keep up the great work!
Also I just purchased the double boss foot switch to use with the pedal to manage the memory channels, I think you would do a wonderful job teaching people how that all works and the capabilities the pedal has with just a simple add on like a 60 dollar foot switch!
Cool! Next Video will be a getting started with the RC300. But I will take the RC3 memory management on my list. Are you using the rhythm function too?
is it possible to progressively stop playing an individual overdubs. as in go delete your latest overdub by itself and delete the second recent overdub right after
Hi Stefan , I have a rc 3 and have been enjoying it so far, but i can’t figure out have to record over backing tracks (90-99) . In short i play the 98 track and i hit the pedal one more time to start recording myself, but when i stop my recording the pedal doesn’t play my solo with the track in fact it doesn’t record me at all. I presumed that i can recorded ( or overdub ) over a pre saved backing track ? Is that possible ? Thx in advance for the answer ....
Hmm. I didn't find a reason why you should not be able to overdub the prerecorded tracks. Unfortunately I don't have my RC3 right now. I lent it to a friend. Did you try to save a wav file to another track and then overdub it. So is the problem only occuring on the tracks 90 to 99?
LoopsUnlimited - Live.Cover.Music. Yes, I have tried that too, I have copied all pre recorded tracks to locations 80-89, and then tried to overdubbed it, same thing, nothing happens, my next guess is that those files are somehow locked and forbidding the overdubbing, but the manual says that you should back up those tracks so you don’t accidentally write over them, i guess that applies only for the memory locations if you want to exchange the backing with another one. And this is really strange since on the regular empty recording, i can overdubbed as much as i want ...
@@LoopsunlimitedDe Hi Stefan, Did you maby got the looper back from friend ? It would really help if you could tell me if i can or cant overdub the prerecorded tracks ? I mean when i try the red lamp is on but nothing records....
Well, I prefer hardware loopers. When I read that Ed Sheeran went from a RC-30 to Ableton I did some research. Using Ableton has some advantages: Unlimited tracks. Each track can be mixed seperately and a lot more. But there are also some disadvantages. I need a reliable (Who want to reboot during a live show?) PC with Ableton and a multichannel audio interface. Then I need a floorboard to control Ableton. Ed has some sort of custom build monster. I did not find anything suitable on the market. So a stick to hardwareloopers with their limitations...
+Barry Ackerman No. Any pedal with a 1/4 inch jack will work. It needs to close the contact while being pressed and needs to open the contact when released. I used a sustain pedal from a stage piano. 👍
Boss recommends that only the FS-5U and the FS-6 are compatible Under the specs page in the "Options" Section: www.boss.info/us/support/knowledge_base/201958149/
Haha! You will never make everybody happy! As long as there are people like you, who obviously like what I'm doing, it's ok for me. Thanks for watching.

Thanks so much for your Feedback! Keep on Looping! :-)

Yes, the split screen and die visual indicator are a lot of work, when producing the video. But I think it makes things so much easier to understand.
Only been using a loop station since yesterday and you have helped me pick it up so much earlier than I thought thank you xx
I hate reading manuals. Having just bought a RC-3, it was the stopping part that was puzzling me. Thank you!
LOL! Who wants to read manual? I learnd more by just trying... But that takes probably more time and effort...
Just bought this and immediately went to band practice, this is exactly what I was struggling with trying to actually use it in the song, this is super helpful.
+QueeferSutherland Thanks for you kind feedback. I'm glad when my tutorials are helpful.

I can't tell you how you've helped alleviate my fear of the RC3!
Thank you!
Stefan you convinced me to go and buy one, cheers........

Welcome! It so great to hear, that I was able to inspire you! Thanks for the feedback.
Really having a hard time getting this figured out, but your videos are clearing a lot of the confusion up at least. Thanks for uploading!
You're welcome. Thanks for the feedback.
Nice Vid series. TYVM! I like how you broke out the various functions of the RC-3 into multiple vids. Great job!
You are welcome! Thanks for watching.
Thank you very much for an excellent lesson.
Awesome job man! Thanks!!🙌
Very informative 👍
Thanks. I appreciate it!
Clear and logical explanations! Thanks a bunch!
You're welcome. Thanks for the nice feedback.
Very helpful guidance on the timings to stop
Very well done! a bible for the looper lovers !
+Bruno Tettamanti Thank you so much. There will be more videos. I will share my experiences with the RC300 too... stay tuned!
Love the videos Stefan! I'd love for your next tutorial to be about managing the pedal on the CPU, how to load tracks and things like that! Keep up the great work!
Lovin’ these videos and the salt lamp
Hahaha! Yeah! I was looking for some ambience....
Very good tutorials!! Greatly appreciated.
this was really helpful, thanks Stefan

Brilliant lesson

Yes I've become quite good at using the rhythm and adjusting the tempo, it's like a super charged metronome! I am loving being able to save my loops
This is really helpful. Thank you.
You're welcome! Thanks for the kind feedback
Great tutorial by the wat! Thanks🤩
Hi there, thank you for your video!
Can you use any pedal as a seperate stop pedal? 😊😊
I don't think that there are any special requirements. I used a sustain-Switch from a keyboard and it worked just fine.
LoopsUnlimited - Live.Cover.Music. Thank you so much 😊
Thank you Stefan 🎉
Thanks that helped me out a lot you sounded good also.
Thanks so musch! Stay tuned for more videos! I will soon start to produce the next Videos.
I think he sounds FABULOUS!!
is it possible to progressively stop playing an individual overdubs. as in go delete your latest overdub by itself and delete the second recent overdub right after
Great job. Thank you so much
That second switch is certainly the key. I bought one, no more stop hassle !
Yeah! Keep on looping.
Excellent...

fantastic .
I have a fs-5u switch and it stops the loop as suggested. But then the RC-3 flashes CL and clears the loop. What to do?
NM... polarity switch on the fs-5u
Somebody finally helped
Thanks!!!
How do you record this and put it on a video?
Very useful!
Thanks a lot!
Great
Thanks dude :)
Do you prefer hardware loopers to ableton?

...and don't cha come back no more no more no more...
How can I stop the loop but let the rhythm go on ?
This works great with the boss rv6
Cool! Thanks for the feedback.
How does iT works if want to record my voice?
Please check out tutorial #10. In this tutorial I covered this topic.
Love this guy, but I keep expecting to hear him say: "now is the time when we dance!"
Does the foot switch have to be a Boss?
+Barry Ackerman No. Any pedal with a 1/4 inch jack will work. It needs to close the contact while being pressed and needs to open the contact when released. I used a sustain pedal from a stage piano. 👍

+Stephen Soukup Every Switch will work. Boss recommend their own products which is ok. I used a sustain pedal from my keyboard...
Just purchased RC3...harder to start and stop accurately than I had imagined.
Yes indeed! But if you keep practicing it will turn into great fu!
The one person who disliked is a twonk lol
Haha! You will never make everybody happy! As long as there are people like you, who obviously like what I'm doing, it's ok for me.
Thanks for watching.
The double click is the worst.not sure why Boss did this.
By the way.....
Thanks for this, excellent
+Julian Dyson You are welcome. Thanks for your comment. :-)
