I watched 20 different videos about this pedal today after I picked up this pedal. They all show some basics but I had to watch 20 videos to learn about half of what the pedal can do. I really wish I saw yours first because not one video covered everything about it. Yours was the first video I saw that showed how to switch to the auto mode. Thank you thank you thank you.
same
i own one since a year and didnt know bout half of this
I have to
I have
Te
This is THE tutorial to watch. He goes through everything from start to finish for anyone to understand.
Best , most comprehensive review on the net
Pete Harris 100% agree!
I absolutely agree!
Came here to say exact same thing! Quality video 👌
7:00 minutes "RP" is awesome. I hated the fact that I had to press 2x just to hear it back and not overdub. Thank you man!!!
You go over many features in an easy to understand way that no one else even goes over. GREAT Tutorial!
Very exhaustif, complete & calm explanation, putting the emphasis on the pedal and not on the performance of the guitar playing. Thank you.
Come back to this video multiple times get this pedal in the pocket. Excellently done
The definitive review/demo of the Boss RC-3. Thanks, Reid!
This video is the best I’ve watched on the subject. I’ve owned this for like 8 years and never really learned out to use it
I watch a lot of demos on pedals and stuff and I just wanna say I love this , with the breakdown on how it works, etc… thank you for the in depth review
Now THIS is how reviews should be done. Got my pedal an hour ago and haven't touched the manual yet.
Thanks man. Best video I have found yet regarding this pedal. Just got mine today. Very excited to master the functionality of this thing.
Picked up this model recently, this is the best tutorial I've seen yet! Thank-you!
Omg. Have this pedal for ten years. And today finally find out how many functions and how to use properly. Thanks. Big thanks
Ha! I feel better about having it 3 years and knowing all of this. But now we know.
Thanks. Does the inner thinner volume control knob allow you control the guitar volume such as a lead guitar and the outer fatter volume allow you control the volume of your rhythm guitar?
@@stephenmcintire6081 Two years here, but the same!
Literally paused your vid, ran to my pedal and updated settings as you suggested. Great review! Subbed.
Best video on RC 3 on youtube just after watching 2 mins on the video i could tell.
i paused the video to give a comment.
keep more reviews coming.
the way you do it beyond perfect.
You are absolutely hands down the master of simply explaining how to make the RC 3 work and enjoy what’s recorded. TY so much for the tutorial. T. bird.🎸🦅
I agree with other comments, this is the best explanation of how to use the RC3. It provides important details which are not on other tutorials, and not always in the manual either - many of which can result in serious obstacles until you learn them - and I did, finally, learn them thanks to Reid.
this video is so helpful thank you so much. answers every question i’ve had about this pedal! would’ve taken me days to figure this out on my own
Great lesson on this system, the best I've seen so far for sure. I just started getting into one of these and It's really fun and appreciate the super tips on combing tracks Thanks!
straightforward, no nonsense, easy to understand tutorial. thank you.
Thank you sir, this is the best review for this Pedal out there and I’m saving it to my favorites!
I'm getting one second hand tomorrow and I will be using this video as a tutorial, very helpful. Thank you
Thank you🎉🎉I've owned one for couple of years an never knew half of these functions, thanks 😊
Greetings from Norway! I just enjoyed this video - and finally everything about this pedal was in depth explained - so great for a fresh beginner. Time saving and in a pleasant "tap tempo",. So thank you!
My Rc3 is arriving tomorrow. Thanks a lot for the explanation mate
The BEST review and demo I have seen on RUclips for the Boss RC3. I have a JamMan Stereo Solo XT that has been playing up in auto record mode. It only kicks into record when i attack the strings and play hard. So looking for a new toy and been eyeing the Boss RC3 looper. Im sold now. No showing off or running throgh just a few features. This was a ripper instructional video that highlighted the features. Well done and what a shame your hits aren't higher. Many groovy thanks mate.
Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it.
If you haven’t gotten it yet, totally do man. I’ve had it for about a year, it’s helped me write and make some insane love loops for gigs.
Thanks for this video. It's really helped me understand the pedal soo much better. Keep up the great work !
Your video covered a lot I didn't know about my rc3 Looper I'm going to keep studying... thanks.
Best review on RUclips. If the algorithm is reading this put this to the top of the list
This is the best video on this pedal ever!!! Great job sir!!
Brilliant demo, thank you so much for doing it for us all. 🌌🌅🌠🕊👌🏻
Very good review!
You answered a few questions that I had Thank You!😎
best 3c3 demo!!!! i wish i saw you first befor loseing my mind and watching the wrong videos
Great video, some really neat options that I wasn’t aware of. Especially auto start.
I know I am four years late to the party, but this was a great tutorial. I bought this pedal. I predominantly play acoustic, this is great for doing solo gigs I can lay down some rhythm, and then add some lead, some arpeggios, on top of vocals.
Thanks. Recently bought this pedal and this helps tremendously
bloody good review Reidy, cheers mate
I've wanted one for a long time and finally caved on a used one. It should be a lot of fun when it arrives. I can think of a lot of various ways to use it.
Best RC-3 tutorial on YT! Thanks a bunch!
Excellent video bro, very informative. Revisited this one after a year of not using my rc30. Thanks again.
I got my pedal yesterday and the guy was so generous he threw in around ten mini to medium cables including 2 custom fender ones for free, the pedal he sold for 90 euros.I have a looper on my Axe fx 2 bit it is limited to only 30 seconds.I had an RC2 years ago and sold it since the Axe fx2 had one, I regret selling it.BUT. This RC3 is a great pedal which gives me a lot of inspiration for creating more loops. And this video covers everything about it, I will use everything except for the 'one shot'. Thanks a lot.
So GREAT presentation, I just bought it :-) And will be back to learn more from your video!
Just got this pedal and *frantically* looked for an overview of the use and functionality. Wasted a lot of time browsing through useless beginner tutorials.. But this one WOW👍👌 to the point... A million thanks.
This was great. Answered my concerns and more.
Okay I bought the thing and put away I'm using my old one up until now thank you for the video explain it very well
Thank You for an easy to follow instructional. Very well done my good Sir.
Thank you. Thank you thank you thank you. I've seen a few instructional videos and they talk fast and move on and their fingers are covering up what they're doing on the pedal and in the end you just think you're gonna go mad. This was so clear and so well paced and so well reinforced. And now I'm gonna hit the Subscribe button.
Thanks for the creds!
thank you. ive been trying to figure out how to turn off the auto overdub for a while.
best RC-3 review on youtube - many thanks!
great in depth review: most people who buy this have no clue how to do a simple loop. Never mind the incredible features. My suggestion, simply make a clear concise simple loop. I am grateful for the education.
The best review of this pedal. I’ve had my rc3 for 5 years but have never really utilized it. That’ll soon change.
I'd Really like to see ya do a review on the Line 6 M9 multi effects/looper pedal. Thanks for you work, you do the best explanations etc.
All this time and all the loops I've made with this pedal and I never knew about half the stuff you mentioned, especially the auto record which is gonna make things a lot easier \m/ I wasn't reading the manual it came with... That thing is the size of a pocket bible lol Best review on RUclips!
Great review, needed. This for me to use this correctly, thanks..
Great review! Thank you!
Great review - very clear. Thank you!
fantastic video. thanks for explaining it so clearly.
Very useful video, thanks for sharing !
I'll have to watch again though lol
Best class yet! Cool greenscreen as well.
The thing I like about it the best is, if you have a semi-acoustic guitar, with this pedal you basically have an unlimited band, if you know what you're doing. The versatility of the semi-acoustic guitar, for percussion, if it has a mic fitted, which is essential, you can definitely make enough sounds to sound like a band. All that just layering on one channel makes this looper pretty formidable and crucial for making new music on the fly.
best demo video for this pedal thank you
Just a note to say how much I appreciated your video. Loved the way you showed all the features of the pedal. I've just bought one today and now I feel like I just about get away with not reading the manual. The manual is so small too that I can't really read it, so resorted to downloading a PDF version. The Boss site is pretty good too and it's great to be able to transfer backing tracks or rhythm tracks to the memory slots (appear as folders when connected to your PC). Lots of free content to fill up some of those slots with and I guess you could put your own stuff in there to play along with as long as the files are in .wav format.
Hey, thanks a bunch for the comment. Enjoy the pedal!
Hey man, can you answer a question I have? Can you please tell me if when we transfer our recordings to the computer, is it normal that the pedal drum beats, which we use in these recordings, are not transferred to the computer?
I mean, I end up just having my guitars and/or basses with no rhythm/beat on my computer savings.
It's normal or is just another anormally that my old pedal have?
Excelent Review. Very helpful. Thanks!!
Great informative review, thanks!!
Thank you for sharing your demo 💙💙👍
Great tutorial, thank you.
Great video. I have bookmarked this video because I will need to come back to it a few times I think before I have fully leaned to use this pedal.
Great vid, ticha'!
Top stuff mate. Off to jam surry! 😊
Thank you for your excellent tutorial . Recording one shot and then go to another loop absolutely useless in live performance unless a pedal can also do Write function then it might some how work
Excellent demo. 👍
Great video, many thanks!
Great video and very well explained, i learnt some things and love from India
Very informative! Thank you!
Thank you very much!! Very helpful!
The best explenation, thank you very much!
perfect demo thanks
Great video, you got a new subscriber.
Thanks for this. Very helpful.
I'm trying to hook up my Boss RC 3 to an ISPOT 7 Power Supply on a Pedal Board I'm setting up, my first.... It's not working with a 9 Volt Connection that I'm using.. All my other (3) pedals, Ibanez Delay, & Blues Diver, and a Dunlop Wah are all working on the 9 volt plugs... Any idea what connector I should use to connect to the Power Supply??? Thank you very much, awesome Video... Happy 2023!!! Keep on Rockin'!!!! : )
great explanation, thank you
Great video! So when i was watching ur vid, i couldnt get the rhythm to start at the same time as my playing, it wouldnt trigger the device. When i pressed Write, it showed DL, then i pressed tempo and it triggered it. I didnt see u do it that way in the video though. When i tried the way u showed it on the video it wouldnt trigger but it would play the rhythm etc.. I got to it to work my way, but whats the offical way, or did u do it my way off camera ?
Thanks for this. Well done.
Great review....very well explained
The best reviews!
Great tutorial ☮️
When I pulled the cable out, pushed “tap tempo” and put the cable back in it says “rd”. Please help.
Random question; I just got a used one of these and it didn’t come with a power cord. A 9V battery is working right now but I tried using a generic DC 9V power cord before I did that and it wouldn’t work. Do you think I actually have to use a specific cord from BOSS like the pedal says in small writing?
Hi Reid, any thoughts on importing a wav file into the Rc3 & then play back ? Great tutorial & thanks !
So if you have drums going and record and then save are the drums saved as well if you come back later? That wasn't clear to me.
Still trying to figure out something. Can I pick and set a drum beat then save it without any additional overlay?
Excellent video
Excellent review of features ✅
Thanks for the video. I have a question. I have a boss ME 80 connected to a boss rc-3. If I want to loop a rhythm part, I select a clean sound or patch on my me-80. Then if I want to play a lead sound over that recorded loop, I select a sound/patch with some overdrive. But what happens is, when I recorded the clean part and then select my overdriven sound. Suddely my clean loop will then play back with that overdriven sound (or whatever sound I may then choose) . Does anybody know how to fix this? It may be confusing I hope it makes sense. Thanks!
I loaded some stereo wav files and they play out if 1 side only when going output a. Shouldn’t it be mono?
Hey bud great video wanna ask does this pedal have a volume control
Awesome video
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge on this pedal. I do have a question. I was able to get a drum beat for an entire song from my computer onto the pedal and when I hit the pedal it plays, but if I don’t hit the pedal twice to stop it, it’ll play over again. Do you think the one shot would prevent this from happening? Or if putting it in one shot, will it go to the next number or phrase? Any info on this would be awesome. 😊
My phrases when playing back are very low on volume, is there a way to make the looper playback louder?
