Totally agree Grantley. Whenever I owned 1000+ cc inline 4's, I felt I was always holding back, whereas the smaller capacity bikes I could really lean into. Definitely more engaging at legal speeds.
@marinusk67 how do you mean? I have never ridden either but both are very appealing in their own ways. Is the classic more relaxed and the hunter lighter and nimble as I imagine? Thanks
Got nearly 7000ks on my Hunter. Great little commuter. I put a set of YSS shocks on the rear. Great improvement. Set of 10% stiffer springs in the forks from Hitchcocks UK improved the front. DNA air filter and intake more midrange power. (Not much). The engine is sweet as butter now. Love it.
I think I mentioned I rented a Hunter 350 here in Phuket and rode it 2 up on the mainland for a few days touring. I think 120kmph was the most I got out of it 2 up but at no point was I wanting more power. I got over speed years ago and still have the Fireblade for that if I want. But watching your video makes me want to rent that 350 again. I really loved it, and that sound is so nice. Not a raspy shit sound like a harley, but a classy sound. The 350 would be me next bike except the pillion seat slopes downward at the rear making it not very comfortable on the back. So it will be a Himalayan (original) for me. Great video as always!!
@@BikesILike I forgot to mention that rental had about 3000kms on it so the engine was well worn in and likely why we got to 120kmph. I think I could have gotten more out of it but the old ball and chain doesnt like speed.
@@colourberry Haha! Yeah I reckon it would spin up a little more with some mileage on it. Surprisingly good little bike. Learners are certainly spoilt for choice nowadays.
The part where you mention it slopes down i agree its because of the way the frame is designed would've been better if they kept it flat like a interceptor but yes that wouldve damaged int 650 image
My GB350 would have similar performance I suppose. Agree 100% with your assessment. Very capable around town, agile, cheap ownership. Even quite comfortable over distance. Just don’t expect to power up long inclines on the freeway.
OK cheers! I'll check to make sure the mic is correctly connected next time. It's weird how I could hear static on the 2nd unconnected recorder though.
I have completed 8k kilometers on my hunter 350 , it is a beauty . I am planning for a long ride of 750kms in the next week.
how tall are u?
5ft 6inches
I have completed 11k kilometres

@@ProGamer-nm1ey Nice, but why did you ask
I ve got a 1050 cc bike and a 300 cc bike, i honestly have more fun on the smaller bike, a very underestimated bike category.

I got a 2023 classic 350 going cheap here in vic 750ks just run in 6k with 5mnths reg 6k plus on roads 👌
@@seanmack4552 Nice!
@@BikesILike they are great bikes but bad resale mate, it’s in a shop and no bites at all…..
@@seanmack4552 I think the used market might be slowing up a bit in general
I love my Hunter, and completely agree with your observations. It really is a great little bike, very fun, and very capable.
@@miked1254 I love my Hunter also, done some mods and after 9k miles got some Dunlop Mutant tyres on with a 150/70/17 rear
It's a shame. RE never gave the bike another 5hp, and it would have been even better. Great review, though 👏🏻
Even as a commuter a 350cc bike struggling to reasonably accelerate past 100kph is for myself a deal breaker. Thankyou for another great review. 👍
Mine goes fine with the dna air filter and fulex lite. 16t front sprocket.
Tried the Hunter and the classic today.
Huge difference in comfort and ridebillity.
Pay the extra for the classic.
@marinusk67 how do you mean? I have never ridden either but both are very appealing in their own ways. Is the classic more relaxed and the hunter lighter and nimble as I imagine? Thanks
I'm getting both, the Hunter my commuter
Perfect bike for around town or inner city carving

Great to hear! Good upgrades.
Could i ssk model number of yss shocks because their website doesn't list shocks for the hunter here in the uk... Cheers

Why is there no other motorcycle on the road.

@desmcd1515 honda gb350 probably has better performance at least the top end
Hi! The riding position seems to be a little bent foward, or am I wrong?
Yes it is. I found it to be comfortable for my 6'1" height.
As a Radio Ham, that static sounds more like a bad connection to me ?
