Madame Ping seems to know that Morax is still alive as seen on the dialogues when we we're tasked to get the cleansing bell and her interaction with Zhongli during the Moonchase festival. Guoba can also sense his old friend in Zhongli eventhough a millenia have passed and now has an amnesia.

i reason that hu tao lines about zhongli was more about her impression with life/death rather than adepti/mortal. i dont know her character much but i'd group her to the kind of people who doesnt mind seeing immortals daily well 'doesnt mind' much anyway, she just feels sad towards them not being able to let go (qiqi)
Among the Liyue Qixing, there's also someone else who's implied to know about Zhongli's identity - Uncle Tian, the "Tianshu", the old guy on the fishing boat who's similarly living an "incognito" life and looks up to Ganyu. His updated dialogue after finishing Ganyu's story quest has the line : " ...I hope that "he" too can enjoy his freedom, now that he has thrown off his yoke."

What he says doesn't indicate he knows Zhongli is Rex Lapis, though. The only thing you can say that he knows for sure is the same amount that Ningguang and Keqing know. Which is that Rex Lapis is still alive and left his old identity to enjoy some freedom.
Honestly the qixing is really a mystery. There have like spies at wangshu inn and there's a fisher that took out a ruin hunter easily. Liyue is really packed with OP factions lmao

Madame Ping knows Zhongli's identity too, it was showed on the last part of Marchosius' limited story event quest that she spoke with Zhong at the end when Marchosius meet Zhong
It gets more than a bit debatable because many characters clearly know Zhongli isn't a normal human, but with the other Adepti running around not-so-secretly, it's easy to just assume he's another one of them. My headcanon is that Hu Tao knows though, because Zhongli is around her far more than anyone else. Ganyu does seem pretty oblivious on the other hand, but she also just seems pretty out-of-it in general, constantly drifting through life half-asleep.
Hu Tao DEFINITELY knows. Her line gives it away, though she doesn’t explicitly tell you. She also knows other secrets of the Adepti, considering the relationship between Morax and the Wangsheng Funeral Parlour goes back a LONG time.

there's definitely only a few people/adepti that know. he made sure to only make it obvious to the ones that he may be trusting of. Ningguang's voiceline indicates to me she would use him too as pawn, if she knew his identity she may be troublesome to him a bit. Ningguang may have made that up, knowing he's alive, but not knowing the identity. edit: replayed the quest on a new acc. ning and the qixing definitely know/are aware he's alive(paimon talks if him being alive in their presence after the fight) , but most likely only the adepti know who he is in identity(may not include yanfei or ganyu idk)

Archon Quest on Liyue, "the part were we are picking flowers with Zhongli, and we suddenly met Ganyu". That part of the quest basically hinted that Ganyu doesn't know that Morax = Zhongli. If you rewatch the Archon Quest, Ganyu also stated that Morax is dead, which implies that she didn't know that it was a "fake death" done by Zhongli.
What about Dainsleif? In his voice line he said “The Geo Archon signed a contract to end all contracts” Cleary stating he knows something about zhongli
Dainsleif knows and I'm going to assume Alice also knows because she's practically omniscient, especially given the praise by Albedo who wouldn't just toss around the word "omnipotent" so lightly when describing someone like her. . . . . . If we put on our tinfoil hats, Ying'er could also be a candidate for someone who knows. We got two events recently (Ningguang's hangout and potion event) that gave her some spotlight and it shed some light on how she's deceptively intelligent, her personality is most likely a facade. Imagine she talks with Traveler and Zhongli and makes a remark that she knows Zhongli is Morax only to then take back the comment and pretend she was just joking.
in the moonchase event, madame ping knows that zhongli is rex. i think she knows that rex faked his death from the moment we ask for the cleansing bell. or even from the beginning, thru out the archon quest unlike the other adeptus, she never show any sadness or anger.

She's specifically said to forget about it as she dying so I personally think it just silly love confession if he could ever open it but since she's gonna die she just want him to forget about it cause it meaningless now. Thank you for this. There’s some dialogues i tend to skip and missed on important details like this. Morax is indeed different from othet archons and is highly intelligent. Just hoping that, as Baal described it, his story will continue on. We need more Zhongli arc where he reveals his knowledge and secrets about the world, and maybe even Guizhong. The latest that we hear of them is from the Jade Cutter, though implied.
even before zhongli's revelation(1.1) she kinda gave us the hints already that zhongli is indeed morax. In fact, theory crafters often use her voicelines to theorize that zhongli is the geo archon (aside from the statue and his hair being compared to venti)..
The hint he’s alive that he gave to the adepti was Ningguang’s dream. Because it is an adepti art. Rex Lapis shared a dream with her, in order for him to cast this art he must still alive. That’s why all the adepti were surprised when Ningguang said it.
After like my 25th account, it took me that embarrassing amount of time to realize that the dream Ningguang mentioned after their battle with Osial was linked to Zhongli’s mention of the adepti art of gifting people dreams

She might not even knows Zhongli alive cause based on her voicelines it seems to imply that she working so hard is because she think Rex Lapis works harder than her. It's easier to assume that she simply doesn't know and doesn't suspect anything - I mean, we are speaking of the same person who invited the Traveler on the Jade Chamber following the request of Ningguang and actually forgot to tell the password to have access to the Chamber itself...

I think Hu Tao sees that there is more to him than meets the eye/ has a feeling he is "different" than others but she does not say anything outright/is not certain about it. Hu Tao is quite wise for her age.

i don't think ganyu know that zhongli is morax. when traveler and zhongli meet ganyu while searching for wild glaze lily, the way she sad about losing rex lapis is so true. i think among the adepti WHEN traveler told them rex lapis is dead, only xiao doubt about it. while others adepti enraged, he's so calm like he know his master plotting about something he doesn't know yet but just follow what the adepti about to do anyway. i mean morax is xiao's savior. when someone talk bad about morax, xiao annoyed about it but he's so calm about morax's dead? the one i really didn't know is when exactly zhongli told qixing and adepti that he's not dead?
Ninnguang didn't mention this truth to every Qixing , Keqing is still in the dark , one of the Qixing that know of it is Uncle Tian. After completing Yelan's quest if you talk to him at the docks , he says "I hope "he" too is enjoying his freedom" which clearly implies of the said above.

the reason why zhongli retired from being an archon was because he sees that liyue doesn't need one anymore. Times have changed and both the citizens and zhongli sees that so he willingly stepped down. So the chances of there being a new archon is quite slim. I think the great war you are talking about might be with zhongli rather the new archon. Although i still have some doubts whether we will be fighting celestia or the abyss.. join the abyss with ur twin and rebel against teyvat/celestia or be with the friends you made in teyvat, that's what i imagine the final conflict would be. (kinda like kaeya lore lol)
there is bunch of diffrent quest. Where zhongli and other people mention that Liyue is now _"Gained independent"_ from its Archon. What i mean is Liyue is now able to stand alone without a guide of Archon. Just like country in real life. And also the reason why Morax faked his death. Its a Test for Liyue stability without their Archon. So thats mean Liyue wont have any other Archon they probably stand alone as a nation with no Archon. Why he did that? Because of a "corrosion" he affraid a thing that happend to azdaha happend to him *It will happend to him* That Made him destroy Liyue. So he decided to retire before its too late.

Hu Tao suspects Zhongli is most likely an adepteus, since he simply knows too much and recounts details of the long gone past as if he was there. She loves his advice, especially when it comes to Wangsheng Funeral Parlor matters, which makes sense since the Parlor initially worked for him so he would possess a lot of useful insight. She trusts him the most out of all her employees and sees him as a "dusty soul", implying she knows he is far older than he looks. I'm pretty sure she has already realised he is the Geo Archon, but doesn't care since he would tell her directly if she needs to know and he does his job the best.
When ningguang tell about her dream about Rex lapis appearing that was the hint and remember when morax told us to get the bell from ms ping which is once borrowed by morax that was the first hint i mean only adeptus and morax know the existence of the bell
I wait for the day that they make an archon event or story for Zhongli where he has all the MVP's like Ganyu, Ningquan, Keqing etc know that he is Morax. It made me sad when Ganyu first came out for her first banner feeling lonely and I was just yelling at the TV saying that Rex is still alive. I was also hoping that the Lantern rite event would be attacked by the hydras so that Zhongli would get involved and end those two for good.
All Illuminated Beasts are native Liyuean Mystical Beasts and all Adepti are Illuminated Beasts that follow Rex Lapis and have a contract with him for example both Ganyu and Yan Fei are Half-Illuminated Beasts and Half Human however only Ganyu is considered an Adepti meanwhile since Yan Fei has no contract with Rex Lapis she is just a Illuminated Beast and not an Adepti, so Illuminated Beast is their Species while Adepti is the Status or Class or Group of Beings they belong to.

There’s definitely characters who know he’s alive but don’t know his identity. I don’t think the Qixing knows who he is. But Cloud Retainer clearly does considering Shenhe’s voice line. Xiao does, obviously. Childe does, also obviously. Madame Ping knows. Presumably the other adepti minus Ganyu know. Yanfei doesn’t. And the other archons we’ve met know. Hu Tao suspects he’s an adeptus, but not Rex Lapks. I think that’s it, but I might be missing someone.
The adeptus take one look at zhongli and know, who he is... they have known each other for thousands of years... beside when we went to borrowed madame Ping bell, she already know he still alive... because Morax was the one that gave her the bell. I think only the two of them know the whereabouts of the bell...

Xingqiu definitely doesn't know anything, but he has a similar voiceline to Yanfei in that he says that he wants to find out more about Zhongli! He mentions that he directs funerals for the adepti and "must surely have great depth to his character", which makes me feel like he at least has a feeling that Zhongli is a pretty special person

Madame Ping knows Zhongli's identity too, it was showed on the last part of Marchosius' limited story event quest that she spoke with Zhong at the end when Marchosius meet Zhong
not only that she also spoke about zhongli as her "old friend", when we retrieve the bell and ask us to invite him for tea.
It gets more than a bit debatable because many characters clearly know Zhongli isn't a normal human, but with the other Adepti running around not-so-secretly, it's easy to just assume he's another one of them.
My headcanon is that Hu Tao knows though, because Zhongli is around her far more than anyone else. Ganyu does seem pretty oblivious on the other hand, but she also just seems pretty out-of-it in general, constantly drifting through life half-asleep.

there's definitely only a few people/adepti that know. he made sure to only make it obvious to the ones that he may be trusting of. Ningguang's voiceline indicates to me she would use him too as pawn, if she knew his identity she may be troublesome to him a bit. Ningguang may have made that up, knowing he's alive, but not knowing the identity.
edit: replayed the quest on a new acc. ning and the qixing definitely know/are aware he's alive(paimon talks if him being alive in their presence after the fight) , but most likely only the adepti know who he is in identity(may not include yanfei or ganyu idk)

Also fun fact Xiao's JP voice calls Zhongli "Shouri-sama" which further proves he knows about him, he hasn't called anyone else with a honorific, much less one that basically means "master"

Archon Quest on Liyue, "the part were we are picking flowers with Zhongli, and we suddenly met Ganyu". That part of the quest basically hinted that Ganyu doesn't know that Morax = Zhongli. If you rewatch the Archon Quest, Ganyu also stated that Morax is dead, which implies that she didn't know that it was a "fake death" done by Zhongli.
What about Dainsleif? In his voice line he said “The Geo Archon signed a contract to end all contracts” Cleary stating he knows something about zhongli
He also know everyone in-game as he is the one narrating the character showcase I believe.

If we put on our tinfoil hats, Ying'er could also be a candidate for someone who knows. We got two events recently (Ningguang's hangout and potion event) that gave her some spotlight and it shed some light on how she's deceptively intelligent, her personality is most likely a facade. Imagine she talks with Traveler and Zhongli and makes a remark that she knows Zhongli is Morax only to then take back the comment and pretend she was just joking.
Mona's old master could also be aware since she is also a master of astrology. Maybe to a lesser extent Mona, but that one's a stretch

Thank you for this. There’s some dialogues i tend to skip and missed on important details like this. Morax is indeed different from othet archons and is highly intelligent. Just hoping that, as Baal described it, his story will continue on. We need more Zhongli arc where he reveals his knowledge and secrets about the world, and maybe even Guizhong. The latest that we hear of them is from the Jade Cutter, though implied.

the reason why zhongli retired from being an archon was because he sees that liyue doesn't need one anymore. Times have changed and both the citizens and zhongli sees that so he willingly stepped down. So the chances of there being a new archon is quite slim. I think the great war you are talking about might be with zhongli rather the new archon. Although i still have some doubts whether we will be fighting celestia or the abyss.. join the abyss with ur twin and rebel against teyvat/celestia or be with the friends you made in teyvat, that's what i imagine the final conflict would be. (kinda like kaeya lore lol)

there is bunch of diffrent quest. Where zhongli and other people mention that Liyue is now _"Gained independent"_ from its Archon.
What i mean is Liyue is now able to stand alone without a guide of Archon. Just like country in real life. And also the reason why Morax faked his death. Its a Test for Liyue stability without their Archon. So thats mean Liyue wont have any other Archon they probably stand alone as a nation with no Archon.
Why he did that? Because of a "corrosion" he affraid a thing that happend to azdaha happend to him *It will happend to him* That Made him destroy Liyue. So he decided to retire before its too late.

Hu Tao suspects Zhongli is most likely an adepteus, since he simply knows too much and recounts details of the long gone past as if he was there. She loves his advice, especially when it comes to Wangsheng Funeral Parlor matters, which makes sense since the Parlor initially worked for him so he would possess a lot of useful insight. She trusts him the most out of all her employees and sees him as a "dusty soul", implying she knows he is far older than he looks. I'm pretty sure she has already realised he is the Geo Archon, but doesn't care since he would tell her directly if she needs to know and he does his job the best.
When ningguang tell about her dream about Rex lapis appearing that was the hint and remember when morax told us to get the bell from ms ping which is once borrowed by morax that was the first hint i mean only adeptus and morax know the existence of the bell

It made me sad when Ganyu first came out for her first banner feeling lonely and I was just yelling at the TV saying that Rex is still alive. I was also hoping that the Lantern rite event would be attacked by the hydras so that Zhongli would get involved and end those two for good.

All Illuminated Beasts are native Liyuean Mystical Beasts and all Adepti are Illuminated Beasts that follow Rex Lapis and have a contract with him for example both Ganyu and Yan Fei are Half-Illuminated Beasts and Half Human however only Ganyu is considered an Adepti meanwhile since Yan Fei has no contract with Rex Lapis she is just a Illuminated Beast and not an Adepti, so Illuminated Beast is their Species while Adepti is the Status or Class or Group of Beings they belong to.

Xiao does, obviously. Childe does, also obviously. Madame Ping knows. Presumably the other adepti minus Ganyu know. Yanfei doesn’t. And the other archons we’ve met know. Hu Tao suspects he’s an adeptus, but not Rex Lapks. I think that’s it, but I might be missing someone.

I feel it's because he has left that life behind. He now sees Rex Lapis/Morax and Zhongli as 2 different people tho both are still himself. Because he has turned a new leaf and decided to live the rest of his life as Zhongli. Kinda like how Venti, despite still being a god lives as somewhat a mortal. Living from paycheck to paycheck (or in this case, apples an wine) singing their tunes and enjoying a simple life.
