- The vagus nerve has been getting a lot of attention recently. It is the 'rest and digest' nerve that co-ordinates and regulates all sorts of connected functions like speech, breathing, blood pressure and digestion. Recent evidence has shown that it also has a role in modulating inflammation in the body. In this video we'll have a look at the anatomy and functions of the wandering vagus nerve, and how different therapies might harness its healing powers.
