    *Love it! Keeps the room very **Fastly.Cool** . The manual states it comes with a year warranty and 5 year part replacement. The compressor makes the typical sound...small price to pay for AC.*

    Thank you so much for making that video. It would have taken me 8 hours, but did it in 3. The only thing that gave me problems was that my house only had the Black, White & Copper wires so I was way confused as the fan came with Black, White, Blue, and 2 green wires. This is where I took forever. Luckily I called my buddy, and he told me how to wire it. Nonetheless, your video was so helpful. Thanks again. Louie from Armenia, Colombia here, and grateful.

    I'm installing this fan now. The two small machine screws that go into the bracket to hold the fan motor don't actually reach all the way to the fan motor thus the motor isn't totally isolated from moving. Yes, the screws do keep one from being able to actually remove the motor from the bracket but I'm surprised they don't go all the way up against the motor so that it is totally secured. Is this the way it's supposed to be or are my screws not long enough? I used the two screws in the "star" bag.

    Also, if there are multiple whites (neutrals), make SURE that other circuits that may be hot still, are NOT on.
    Otherwise, you could create a "floating neutral" for the other devices and overvoltage the other devices due to them being on different lines (L1 and L2 devices need a return or neutral).

    This was absolutely fantastic. I have 3 ceiling fans to replace. I need this type of detail to take care of it myself. Is the same process for changing a light fixture on the ceiling. I have a light in the corridor that has a bowl over the bulbs and wanted to switch for something more up to date. Also, is 'black' always 'hot' and 'white' always neutral?

    Also, why dobt u try using threadlock on the screws so the fan blades dont get loose?

    I need help wiring a ceiling fan with a light and a light switch a single light switch. It appears that the light switch works the fan and the light? When I turn the switch on if the light on the fan it’s on the light will come on if the fan is running it will start running when I put the switch up. So if my fans running and or my light is on and I flipped the switch off everything goes off.
    My wires coming out of the ceiling or a black and white a green and a blue.
    My fan/light unit, has a ground a white a black and a blue wires.
    How do I hook these wires together?

    Hi Scott. I installed the mounting bracket and the motor into the cradle. When I screwed in the bolts to secure the square top in the cradle it still moved up and down a bit. Is this normal? I was expecting no movement once I secured the screws. My wife thought it might be to allow it to rock slightly and not be completely rigid in the cradle. What’s your take. I thought maybe I made an error. Thanks

    • @EverydayHomeRepairs

    This helped me but my question is I have a harbor Breeze which has light kit. The fan works but the light kit does not. This has a type of plug to connect the fan and the light. I purchased a new remote but that did not work either. So can I remove the wire plug and wire it together so I don’t need the remote and maybe it will work.

    • @EverydayHomeRepairs
      @EverydayHomeRepairs  4 года назад +1

      Hi Michele, if you remove the top cover plate then you will most likely find the black remote receiver box. You can remove that box and as you mentioned just wire the fan directly to the wires coming from you switches. The wiring should be similar or exactly the same to the one in the video. Let me know if you have any other questions 👍

    I got this same fan and my old ceiling fan only had three wires that connected to it but the new fan has four how should I go about that

    • @EverydayHomeRepairs
      @EverydayHomeRepairs  3 года назад

      You will bring together the 2 hot wires from the fan and connect them together with the hot wire coming from the electrical box. Sounds like you only have 1 wall switch which will control the power for the fan and light at the same time opposed to separately if you had 2 switches. Then you can use the pull chains to chain the fan setting as it relates to the light and vice versa. Caution ⚠️ I am assuming your setup since I don’t have any pictures so be careful as always when working with electrical.

    Second video I watched. You really need to have an electrician look over your videos before you post em. You have errors that in your installation will not give you problems in this instance, but in another case if you have a switch that has fan speed and light dimmer or a specialized fan speed dimmer you just flip flopped the fan motor and light. Fans are almost always wired as black is the motor, white is the neutral, blue is the LIGHT, and green is ground. ALWAYS look at the wiring diagram that comes with the fan first. Cheap fans like hunter you can get away with it because its probably wired as two single pole switches on the wall which is why you have 14-3 return romex wire coming to your fan. But you don't want a fan speed adjuster controlling your light, or a light dimmer controlling your fan motor, especially if you spent some good money on a fan. Never test a half assembled anything before you finish assembling it. If you mess it up and it doesn't work you take it down and apart and trouble shoot a mistake, best yet call a professional. You don't get up on a ladder on a turn on a motor to a half assembled fan and try to screw in a light bulb with the switches on when your making a how to video for people not in the industry, super irresponsible. You need to be a little more responsible with your videos. The instructions manual from hunter, that you bypassed, is better than this. I'm not going to watch any more of your videos. But you really need to not make how to videos without a licensed electrician looking over it at least. Electricity is dangerous, and sorry to say but the fact is you are not a qualified person to make how to videos on electrical work.
