- We’re talking about the importance of having a quiet and gentle spirit as women of God and why this is an important piece of your current or future marriage.
This concept is pulled directly from scripture in 1 Peter 3: 1- 6 NIV, it says: which talks about this characteristic being of great worth in God’s sight. We’ll understand the importance of this not only for your interactions with others and but for us women to be at peace within ourselves.
We’ll talk about how to cultivate this quiet and gentle spirit. We also go over some practical tips of how this looks in actual conversation and interactions with others including your husband, coworkers, family, friends and children. We even talk about some reasons this may be challenging, for example if you have come from a dysfunctional family upbringing, been in a bad relationship, felt like you’ve had to defend yourself etc. We’ll talk about how to invite God into the princess with you so he can help you to overcome some of these challenges to ultimately be able to thrive in your relationships through biblical womanhood.

I struggle with being gentle and quiet. It’s not taught in this world, you’re looked as weak. Thank you for your scriptural words. I will keep praying and working at it my peace.
If you are single you need to find a good man. You can do all that she recommends but if the man isnt good they will make a doormat out of you. This is why im studying about discernment.

Love the scriptures chosen to help relay the message. I pray we seek Christ to help us be at peace within ourselves as wives and wives to be… so many of these things qualities I exhibited and yes I didn’t realize it until I was in a relationship.. I thank God that the Holy Spirit has helped me to see these in the first place so I know where to start to heal. Thank you for sharing. I found it informative. There is one thing I wanted to point out. As I was going through the scripture with you I noticed Psalm 34:4 " I sought the Lord and he answered me... Psalm 34:14 is the scripture I believe you were using.
God led me to 1 Peter 3 today(actually a few times prior today) I always skipped the first few verses, but today I posed. I decided to look into what is 'a quiet and gentle spirit'? Hmm I wonder if someone would make a workbook about this type of stuff cause it takes a lot of learning especially the difference between tones and delivering things more gently. It’d be fun to go through I guess 😂😂😂
Some great resources I can think of off the top of my head:
(1) A book called What Makes a Man Feel Loved. He talks about ways women can put love into action from a biblical perspective and a bit about how to speak in a way that's edifying to your husband. Very good, practical advice.
(2) RUclips channel by a sister in Christ named Joyce, search "Bindi Marc." She talks about being a christian wife, mom and homemaker.
(3) RUclips channel: Pastor RC Blakes Jr. talks about healing for women, godly relationships etc.
They're all totally binge-worthy! Enjoy 🤍
