I always remember fighting a dude with scissors on his head on my first videogame ever when I was 5...... I couldnt remember which game was it tho. I'm 21 now and happy I finally found this gem again after searching for so long :")
It's been such a long time that I totally forgot that amazing Dr. Wiley's castle theme. These games really hold up well on Gameboy, love how they did their own thing and weren't just total copies of their NES counterparts.
I have so many find memories of this game. It was the very first Game Boy game I ever bought and I played it to death. It also ignited my love for the Blue Bomber, making classic Mega Man my favorite video game franchise of all time.
Ah the memories! I've beaten it numerous times. I even still remember some of the passwords, especially the last one because I so liked the ending credit song.
Thank you for Sharing!! So many memories of road trips in the back of the car playing this game. One of the first games I had beaten. The soundtrack makes me smile!! Still love the ending! Probably my favorite Gameboy game!
This game was an enigma for me for a long time. One of my brothers had a Mega Man game on Gameboy, but I could never figure out which one in my occasional searches online. I can definitively say I remember that Teleportation Room and the Mirror Buster, so this is it. Nice.
I still remember how many days i spent, back in my school days, to beat the shit out of this, pain in the ass game. One of the hardest old school games i've ever played. I never understood why they made it so difficult.
... I had this game as a kid, and never knew there was a theme song other than the bit that repeats at the start because I'd always go past it so fast.
voy a llorar pero de la emoción lo volví a encontrar es mi infancia este juegaso es la primera vez que juegue a los video juegos y las canciones las mejores
YES!!! Thank you for showing me how to defect his finally form. I was trying to figure it out but I got mad and put it away. I did not know you had to deflect his beam. Thanks a lot for the help dude =D!!!
This was the very first Mega Man game I've played. When I played the NES Mega Man for the first time, I realized that IceMan, FireMan, CutMan and ElecMan's stage music are remexed versions of their stage music in the NES version.
I feel so nostalgic... Despite playing this game to death, I faced Dr Wily's only few times. Never managed to defeat him because I didn't use mirror buster as in the video... Ahhh... Being a naive kid saving "resources"... Thanks for sharing, so many memories of this amazing game!
I never played this as a kid, I was busy with the NES MegaMan games, but they seem pretty cool! Aside from a few graphical blips when the sprites vanish or reappear out of nowhere, not bad for the good old GameBoy! Also, those damned blocks at the beginning of Elecman's stage..!!!!!!!! In the NES version, those were the bane of my existence!
WHEN I HAD THIS ON THE GAMEBOY COLOR THE FIRST BOSS I WASNT EVEN ABLE TO BEAT AND I ENDED UP SELLING MY GAMEBOY COLOR WITH THE GAME ITS SELF AND I REGRET IT
Oh man... 40 minutes.. and it seemed so effortless how he beat the game. I still remember the many hours I was frustrated with this game, the anger and hate against the unfairness and difficulty of it. And of course the relieving joy and pride after finally beating Dr. Wiley. Once and never again...
Amazing game! Thanks for uploading! I have noticed a small difference in the end of the game where Wily´s spacefortress is destroyed: Sometimes an aircraft is flying out of the fortress and sometimes it´s not. Did anyone also notice? There must have been 2 renditions of the game. I also heard there is a hidden track on the chip...
Lol, the music on Elecman's stage is very similar to Bon Jovi's "She Don't Know Me". Elecman must be very proud knowing you put his weapon to good use. :D 'twas fun watching you play, make some more.
Dare I say the Mega Man 1 Game Boy is one of the toughest games around?! To me it was way harder than the NES original or I just didn't know what the heck I was doing and came from a fairly seasoned Nes player of those games. Great graphics, nice sound and innovative new features (my downfall on this version ) and no E tanks either. Great game but very hard if you don't know where to start.
I am hooked on Mega Man. Only ones that are most important are 1-6 and 9. I do however later on want the rest but the old Nes graphics is what makes it perfect.
(5:42) Elecman is more easy in comparation to his Nes counterpart. (17:10) Cutman in another hand isn't easy anymore, he is a lot harder. (13:21) Fireman is the easiest in this game, and the player can beat him with only buster, however his stage is quite hard (Similar to Heatman in MM2).
+senatortombstone I take it back, I said I compoleted it, but I remember now after seeing the whole game, I could not finish the last level.... Today My "skills" has detoriated because of modern games.. I remember I started just like this, sometimes Iceman first. There is Passwords though, and you need those... There are few games that just jumping a gap can be frustrating
This just came out for the 3DS's Virtual Console. If it weren't for the 3DS's save state function for Virtual Console games, I never would have made it through to the final battle. Luckily I beat it after learning the pattern of Wily's attack in the second round of his fight and how to mislead the claw.
Such a lovely game. I prefer this over the NES original. I owned this as a child and I beat it no more than 3 times. Thing is.. when I was little, I had trouble figuring out how to defeat Wily at the end. I didn't have any info and there was no way for me, to know the weakness weapons for some bosses (like Flash Man needing Ice).
For the first portable Mega Man game, this version was very good, and well done for the most part. It was somewhat challenging, but hardly impossible, especially compared to the tough as nails Mega Man III for the Game Boy. Too bad the M.M. II robot masters from the Nintendo version of the second game that you fought here didn't have their own stages, like parts 2-4 on G.B. did for the robots for the next N.E.S. game in the series, which would have been nice to see though.

What's up with staying on the title screen for 10minutes...fuk
It's Cut Man
Dude fucking same;!!!I knew it was MegaMan didn't know which game tho finally found
Wish it was on switch

after 20 something years I FINALLY BEAT THIS GAME TONIGHT
Good job man 👍..for me yesterday..I finally completed this game 😅..
5:21-5:35 needs to be a GIF
I AGREE IN THAT STATEMENT IT SHOULD BE A GIF
Segaware The Doraemon why are you angry over him saying that needs to be a gif?
Should have been Toad Man, they were basically playing leapfrog.

That last stage music is just awsome!
It's been such a long time that I totally forgot that amazing Dr. Wiley's castle theme. These games really hold up well on Gameboy, love how they did their own thing and weren't just total copies of their NES counterparts.
Megaman IV though looks to be the same game as the NES counterpart.

Man this game was so hard
yeah that image of megaman during the "get weapon" screen is creepy. no seriously, i had a nightmare about it once.
I can see why.
Sliider Congrats lol
Sliider what happened in it?
I can see your point :-(
his endoskeleton... lol

35:23 Dr. Wily looks as if he is crying in frustration rather than begging for mercy.
"ROCK GOD DAMMIT WHY DO YOU ALWAYS DO THIS, UGGHHHHHH"
This is the first Mega Man Game I've ever play... The nostalgia is strong in this one...
the game is harder than it looks
Just like all the other games
Redbert Skywalker but this one is exceptionally hard.
This game makes RM2 (JP) on the NES/Famicom look like Kirby's Adventure.
true
Elijah B. For some reason this mega man game is really hard
No check points is crazy.

And 2 freezing weapons

THE SONG THE GRAPHICS GOOD MEMORIES_
*PLAYED THIS WITH MY GAMEBOY POCKET GOOD OLD DAYS*
The soundtrack triggers childhood memories
For some reason, Elecman's theme reminds of a Whole New World from Alladin.
I have always heard the M.A.S.K Cartoon tv-series theme on Elecman, especially on NES!
Cascade Elecman: I can show you the world
its Faithfully by Journey!
I always heard that lame papa roach song. There's no money. There's no possessions. Only obsessions. I don't need that shit.
Capcom did the best they could, at that time.
This was the hardest game for me as a kid. My brothers were both born in the early 90’s and I was born in 2000 hahaha
I still remember how many days i spent, back in my school days, to beat the shit out of this, pain in the ass game. One of the hardest old school games i've ever played. I never understood why they made it so difficult.
Yeah. A lot of the spike deaths after screen transitions were really cheap.

I used to kill the batteries on my old grey tank of a game boy listening to the Wily Stage 1 music. This game was a beauty.
The intro song is always a childhood favourite of mine

$2 on the Nintendo e-shop for 3DS
I have never played this game but for what it is, it’s way ahead of its time. It looks both fun and hard.
I had this as a kid. I always thought the unshaven look he had in the Game Boy games made him look more badass.
The music is good. For example, the password screen has a lovely tune.

There's a section in the castle where you can build up a TON of free lives. That's what took me so damn long to beat it several times.

Love how half of the RMs don't even get a stage.

Mega man 1 had 6 robot masters, not 8
Depends on whether you consider the original MM or Powered Up. Either way, at least two robot masters never got stages.
Powered Up? I didn't know it even existed until you told me of it
It's a remake of MM1 on the PSP, adding Time Man and Oil Man in addition to other changes.
@@NapkinDictator He's talking about the second set, which are from MM2 don't get their own stages.
