Fun fact is that Sega licensed SMS to Tec Toy, a company that was founded by a former VP of Sharp Corporation. Some games was made especially for Brazilian market. An example is the port of Wonder boy to "Monica no Castelo do dragão". The game base is exactly the same.
In early 90's there were a lot of cartridge rent houses knew as "locadoras" since the prices of the imported cartridges was very expensive to buy one.
We used to rent one or two games for the weekend and to try finishing the games we let the SMS turned all night long

But the Master System was still releasing games here in the UK 4 years after the official UK release of the SNES, or 6 years after the official Japanese release.
The most important thing to point out is that there's at least 3 different versions of Aladdin released by 3 different developers during November 93 and February 94 period:
The Master System version was released in 94 by SIMS/Sega, whilst the 2 versions that came out in 93 were released by Capcom(SNES/Game boy advance) and Virgin(Mega Drive/Amiga). Also the Virgin Aladdin version was converted to other formats(NES/Game Boy + Game Boy Colour) by 2 other separate developers.
The 8bit - 16bit generation of consoles had a lot more cross-over than today's systems.
If you want the nicest looking version of a certain release the SNES or Amiga are generally considered to be your best options.

@@farmerfreakeasy Actually, the Genesis Aladdin is way better than the snes one, and that's the one you should be comparing, since is the proper 16bit version. The whole point, however, is that this version is an impressive 8bit. And it is!

Pura nostalgia!

Most of the games that were released in Europe were also released in Brazil and are not listed as such, ex:
    Addams Family
Back to the Future Part III
    Columns
    Cool Spot
    Dynamite Duck
    Dynamite Dux
    Gauntlet
    Ghostbusters
    Great Soccer
Hang On & Safari Hunt (System)
    Home Alone
    Incredible Hulk
    Lord of The Sword
    Master of Darkness
    Master of Combat
Miracle Warriors: Seal of the Dark Lord
    Missile Defense 3-D
    Ninja Gaiden
    Ninja, The
    Olympic Gold: Barcelona '92
    Operation Wolf
    OutRun 3-D
    Pit-Fighter
    Rambo: First Blood Part II
    Rastan
    R-Type
    Running Battle
    Sagaia
    Shinobi
Simpsons: Bart vs. the Space Mutants
    Simpsons: Bart vs. the World
    Smurfs Travel the World
    Space Harrier
    Space Harrier 3-D
    Spider-Man
    Strider II
    Super Smash T.V.
    Super Tennis
    T2: The Arcade Game
    Taz-Mania
    Terminator
    Terminator 2: Judgement Day

    Time Soldiers
    Vigilante
    Wanted
    World Grand Prix
    Ys: The Vanished Omens
    Zaxxon 3-D
    Zillion
Another thing, the Sega Master System was only launched in Brazil at the end of '89, so there are no game releases between '86 and '88.

They had their own distributor, TecToy. They made some games of their own/released the other games there. Nintendo had weaker presence, on the other hand, so Sega's consoles were in higher demand. I assume they had some pirated Nintendo consoles though, like the rest of South America.
