  • It's a hard call. Is it the RE Continental GT or the INT 650? Both bikes are a real hoot to ride. Wahoo!

Love your videos! After not riding for 40(!) years I did my research and bought a new Interceptor a year ago, that thing is an absolute blast to ride. I've done numerous mods to "make it mine" including replacing the mufflers with aftermarket and replacing the headers with Tec headers, ordered from Baxter Cycle : ) It's worth it alone just for the weight savings but the non-baffled sound is just spectacular, makes it all that much more fun! Ride safe, and keep up with the great work.

Absolutely love my gt. Really hope more Americans grow to love the midsize engines. 650 is plenty of getup to have fun!

    I love my 2019 model.
They do not require any kind of modification from factory condition but they're so easy to individualise.
Mine has cheap eBay pipes that have a lovely tone but probably don't increase power.
I've put a Hitchcock's booster plug which tweaks the fueling.
Slight improvement with that but honestly not really necessary.
EBC HH sintered pads. No difference so save your money.
The rest has been minor cosmetics such as a headlight grille.
Mines got 3100 miles on it now and the suspension has really become more supple and the initial harshness or crudeness has gone as the components have loosened up.
I agree with your synopsis. They're a hoot to ride and feel pokier than the figures alone suggest.
    EDIT:
I fitted a Stratos performance air filter and deleted the snorkel airbox lid.
That did make an affordable and noticeable difference that wasn't just the placebo effect of a rortier induction roar.

I have the Interceptor, in Ravishing Red... decked out for touring ... Cravin panners... one tooth change on front sprocket.... cruises the interstates at a easy 75 mph with steam to pass. The Connie is ok until you need to adjust the chain or pull the rear wheel... 😎

Love them both. Baxter Cycle is think'n of building a camping/touring Interceptor. The bike is made for everything. Wahoo!

It is Cafe style the seat, swept back pipes, low bars not quite clip Ons, are those carbs? or fuel injection disguised as carbs like Triumph do.

I Done a tonne of mods but now feel it doesn’t need them (apart from the cans which saves weightplus sound).
