But not all human foods are good for them, so here’s a list of some safe foods for them to eat (although you'll want to talk to your vet before giving these to your dog).

Shrimp. My golden eats everything even things like kale and brussels sprouts but has no interest in shrimp and will turn her head if I try giving her one.

That's the truth. When my two were pups I had to take them out with muzzles. It was hard keeping two from eating the yard...dirt. grass, sticks....
Mine once ate an entire fresh pineapple. Another time he consumed a dozen hardboiled decorated easter eggs, complete with cardboard carton.

Pumpkin is another one. My friend got a small one to put a tea light in for a lantern last year ad her dog nicked it the second it was out of the groceries bag. She was laughing too much to retrieve the pumpkin.
My Goldie Luna's typical diet
Breakfast
A banana or a couple of slices of papaya or apple or pear ot watermelon
A crunchy carrot, turnip or Beetroot
A boiled or poached or scrambled egg with Idli (steamed rice cake) or multigrain Indian Flatbread Roti
Main meal 4-5pm
250-300 gms boneless boiled/steamed chicken, fish, mutton or lamb
100 gms steamed Soya Chunks
100 gms mixed veggies like Cabbage, Pumpkin, Okra, French Beans, Broccoli, CauIliflower, sweet potato,etc
All the above mixed with simple steamed White Rice.
I always cook her meals with TURMERIC for it's anti cancer properties.
Once a week, typically every Thursday in her lunch, I only feed her lentils, Curd, rice, etc.
Normal safe treats are fine.

My GR will eat anything but celery, but her 2 favorites are: Steak and Pot Pies! She literally salivates waiting for those 2 things! 🦮🎉

My golden loves cheese but it’s a better fit than peanut butter because my son is allergic. I use PB on a lick mat for tub time, but keep it away from my son.
I have a question the carrots do i feed him bite by bite with a whole carrot or bite size pieces or can i do both
Trained ours to like to take pills. I'd get peanut butter out and shake my pill bottle, then give him a little peanut sandwich(the size you'd hide a pill in) only it wouldn't have a pill in it.
So now, any time he has to take a pill, I shake his pill bottle and he comes running for a 'treat '. 😁😁😁
My golden and i share a blueberry banana smoothie with whole milk, honey, and peanut butter every morning 🥰 he eats better than me most days

Cheese.. My dog was left alone downstairs for 4 minutes and snatched the ENTIRE top layer of cheese off of a beautiful lasagna..
Peaces of sausage, hot dogs and meatballs are the best dog treat and also cheap
a fire log or wooden stick are as good toy as any store bought dog toy and a tennis ball are perfect to play catch A soccer ball or a frisbee are also good

My Golden puppy will chew on any organic matter, and some inorganic things too!
Carrots, she chews on them, but does not eat them. Celery, only to chew. Peanut butter, YUM! CHICKEN! Any meat, she loves. Cheese, she likes but gets picky, some is eaten more slowly. Apples we have not tried. Fish, she would love, but due to allergies of a family member no fish in the house. Eggs, she is ok with, but seems to think they have little taste. Turkey!! Yum!
She also chews on the coffee table, arm chairs, futon cover, our clothes, our shoes and boots, the rugs, her own bed, and plenty of toys which use to distract her when she wants to chew on us, our bodies.
Did anyone notice the guy removing the turkey from the oven with his bare hands? heh

The only time our Golden ate human food was when I smeared peanut butter between my wife's toes. She was jealous of how he licked my feet and not hers. (she never wanted to do it again)

Peanut butter, make sure to just buy brand for DOGS! many Human penutbutter has Xilatol, or Beet sugar which will harm your dog

Dogs go insane over bacon. But I guess maybe it’s not the healthiest thing to give them. Steak is the ultimate, but that does get expensive.
Apple seeds contain arsenic. Our vet recommended NOT to give apple as a treat to pups as those counter surfing teens could eat an entire apple and become very sick.
A can of boneless sardines in Water only is great for dogs.

No mystery why their average life span has plummeted as their cancer rates have skyrocketed since the 70s, just as all the human food they love started getting loaded up with chemical additives.
