1968 Buick Electra 225 a real car made out of pure metal and steel strongest car gm ever made these old school cars stood the test of time we would all call them boats
I had one of these in white, non convertible, but god did i love it. Got T-Boned in it in Sioux City IA, still drove it for 2 more years with 11 foot long Dent!! Steering finally gave out and had to junk it :( (oh and it sounds like a hurricane inside going 120+ on the freeway lol)
The Electra 225 series started this look in 64 with the long angular lines and rear fender skirts and thick lower body side and fender moldings. Optional cornering lamps added to the lim
Caddies have more bells and whistles which translates to more problems, but the Electra is a unique example of great American luxury styling, roaring power and a cloud-like ride all rolled into one distinctive land yacht with a rakish wink and the kind of sex appeal that speaks volumes for the driver that doesn't scream for attention!
68 duce convertable, buick,s cadillac big comfortable, a real stand out, at that time buick was trying to tone down it,s flambouyant image, but just think about how life would have been boring with out cars like these, what an achievement.
I actually preferred the Electra and also the Olds 98 to the Cadillac, they were more "sportier". Back in those days GM marketed their line up from top down as Cadillac, Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, and last but not least the good old Chevrolet!
My parents had a white one with a red interior, white top, loaded. Beautiful car. Bought it used in 1969.
Stunningly Beautiful.
Beautiful and AWESOME MASTERPIECE, heaven forbid if someone hits them quarter panels.
That was a Time when Buicks were Buicks, unlike now!!!
I use to have one. It was a monster.
430 wildcat 360 hp... Puts a smile on my face.... Sure don't make them like that anymore...

What a gorgeous car! The only thing I'd add to it is...... Me! And MAYBE the wife!
It appears to be in good condition. The formal black paint doesn't go with a sunny afternoon convertable. I'd like to see it as it was originally.

When a guy loves to hear "It's so long" lol
225 inches bumper to bumper, Pontiac had the Wide Track, Oldsmobile had their Gallant Men, god I miss those days...……………..
that was like back in the 50's the car got bigger as the years went by
Where can I find a window controller for this car? 1968?
added to the look of a convertible limousine.
why would you get a black convertible???
So quiet even with the top down!?
How much?
the next step down from a Cadillac
