- Finally UPDATED! Thanks Hardies1!!!
Hi, CORVAIRWILD here. A little about me and what I do: First, I have LEFT my wife of many years, she was controlling my life for many many years. I will never go anywhere with her anymore! She also took my dog Mugs! He's cool. You should have a dog like him too, I would like him back! I have a new girlfriend, her name is MsHipChic, I never go anywhere without her! Next, I am a landlord, NO, not a slumlord who does section 8 apartment rentals, but I keep my properties up like they were my own...they are my own! Like I live there. I have lots of apartment buildings, a farm out in the country and a house here and there. I am always doing something, driving, rehabbing, you name it! I want to include you, so I bring my camera! EVERYWHERE! Haha. See you on another road trip with Billy!!! Did I mention I am a car enthusiast! I can't get enough Covairs and Vintage Chevy and GMC trucks. They have great reliability...all of em' the best vehicle on the road ever is a Corvair Spyder Turbo. Back to the trucks, I love the diesel trucks and Suburbans, Blazers too. That's what I plow snow with. A cranky Fisher snow plow. I'm a busy guy, but I make time for you. Thanks! CW... Авто/Мото
What a hell of a beautiful car. 😍❤️
I absolutely love that car!
I love those electric 225 they are very nice Buicks
I know it's 3 years later but you don't deserve this car. Hope you sold it to someone who will care for it.
Thanks?
Good that you have that nice garage for a nice car. No more dirty barns!
My pop's owned a Duce and a Quarter, The same color, only with the Black leather interior and chrome wrap around ♥️🇺🇸♥️🗽‼️
Nice Buick. Thank you for sharing.
Lovely car. My grandfather had one.
Nice car Mr CW!! U are like a boy with a new toy!!😉👍
That car does not deserve to be burned out and otherwise roughly treated.
Congrats man, a real looker !
First car I ever drove when I was a teenager it was mom and dad's car and my dad died in 1977 and my mom gave it to me, same color but it was a 2 door, this brings back a lot of teenage momeries.
I have a 66 Electra Coupe. Love the Electras!
Now that's a nice car.
WoW! its beautiful!!!
Depress pedal to the floor to set choke then crank
Some minor carb work and a check of the ol'timing and shell melt them tires right the rims lol
Shes a beauty CW
Very nice car!
The headliner is original they came velvet with the bow showing I have a 6 6 Electra with the same roof in it headliner has not been changed that's the way they came
Such a BEAUTIFUL Buick and it looks like this PUTZ is gonna Destroy it!!!!!
Almost 5 years later, that car is only looking better than when I bought it. Don't judge a book by its cover, that was the only time I beat on her, its like when you 1st meet a woman, you gotta put him in her place
CORVAIRWILD there are a MILLION girls to play with, but only so FEW many 1965 Buick Electra’s left in the world!
More like a douche bag.
Car deserves better.
That is going to be a really nice old Cruiser once the bugs are worked out! I myself would install a pointless Ignition. Doesn't it seem the accelerator pump isn't working correctly? Maybe Holly EFI ?? It Increase mpg and reliability, however I know it's OEM! When I can pull off buying my 1967 full size Mercury I'll want tilt & a fast ratio steering box. You chose too nice old cars. When is the Finch Sprint getting fixed up??I hope you and your lady have a Wonderful Holiday season!
+Lawrence Eich Too many projects, so little time!
I think ze doctor should give it a tune up. Beautiful car btw.
+mechanicwarrior20 Thanks!
Looks like ya could use a couple more feet of trailer. 👍
I love the new ride! It's looks like Jerry Lewis driving it at the end! lol.
Nice car, compliments of a Ford & Mopar guy here.
I appreciate, I've had my share of AMC's. But now I'm strictly general motors and Mercedes, and a couple of BMWs
@@CORVAIRWILD The German cars are not good for your checking account, bud. A fuel pump for your Buick is a reasonable expense, but for a Euro-car it's far too much. But whatever flavor makes your hobby enjoyable, go for it.
@@67marlins81 I agree, but I have 30 cars, so if one's not running I just hop in the other one. And for the most part a few of them run, but not as many as I need. If you watch my videos, you'll see what I'm up to. I've got them scattered around the country, and I'm negotiating on a dually nearby, and I've got one in Savannah, and a Z71 in South Carolina, a Corvair pickup truck in Indiana and on and on and on
@@CORVAIRWILD wow, glad you're busy and nor spending your time on pointless habits. ( I'll let you judge on those. ) But just one bit of advice an old friend gave me years ago.....for some of us ( hopefully not you), when we get too many we lose the desire to work on any particular ONE of them.....In your case, it sounds like your energy and positive attitude overcome that occasional loss of motivation.
Beautius!
I didn’t think that they had Turbo 400s in anything but Cadillacs, back then.
Either way, I’ve never seen a 3 speed trans with a two speed selector / indicator.
Has anyone checked the oil in that Buick since 1967? That thing has more top end noise than Dolly Parton running the 100 yard dash with a bra full of silverware.
+Dave Stone Oil??? Ve don need no stinkin OIL!!!
*****
11 small ones
It sounds exactly like what my 66 Electra sounded like when it was pulled out of storage 36 years for me to buy. His car has a TERRIBLE miss too. I say it’s worn rocker shafts.
spend that money before the lawyers get it lol .
Me gusta el carro
Why are you abusing that sweet ride.
did you find the CC switch I got a 65 Lesabre with all the mechanism for CC but no switch
The button that turns the yellow needle in the bottom of the Speedo pulls out=cruise on. Push=cruise off
@@CORVAIRWILD
Thank you so much I appreciated
Did you arm your fan at 2:24? No posi.
+Radio wild arm my fan? Huh???
+CORVAIRWILD Sounded like you put weight (maybe with your arm) on the fan shroud and I thought I heard the blade hitting the shroud.
Watch out for the fan!
This should be called Wild Clown!
Thx
Suh-weet!
I’m not positive but I think that nailhead has the wrong shade of green.
Still have the Electra??
Yes, maybe I'll drive it before winter
@@CORVAIRWILD great to hear. Is it still cold natured when starting??
i can just see CW doing burnouts in it hahahaha
Strange how people want to treat a cruiser like this duce and a quarter like a stock car....
They’re called fuckin morons
That car has spent 55 years on this earth taken care of for this dipshit to rev up and destroy it. Yuppie fucks don’t know they’re destroying shit that people preserved so well before.
What’s an old guy like you driving this car around like you’re 14 in grandmas Buick. Has a pretty bad miss and top end noise too. That’s why it sounds so shitty at low rpm.
Actually the top and noise is very observant of you. I drove it a couple thousand miles to Ohio and back, and now it's missing on one cylinder, and I can't figure out what it is. And I'm quite the mechanic, but obviously not this time. and I've always driven like a maniac, why should I change? because my beard got white?
@@CORVAIRWILD it’s most likely the rocker shaft. I’ve got a 66 electra that made the same noise even worse and was missing. The rocker dug a groove into the shaft and was all loosey goosey. I’m taking the rocker shaft to be rebuilt. Should take care of the noise and running issues and should do the same for you.
yeah this is a nice old school all u half to do is get that curborator right and tune up and fluids change and put a set of better dual ex sounding on it and then Power Break it for us ok and I heard that carb open up a little bit ha ha when u get it right let us see it Again after u put some work into ok love the VEDIO later
I've never seen a car destroyed by doing what the current owner is doing. He looks like he is just feeling it out. I dont think everytime he gets in his car he doesnt drive this way. I'm sure some of his critics have done a lot worse......
This fool has more money than common sense.
