      @Bill-tz3wg yea we remember what a character from wrestling did... he also gave actual talent a job and let's be clear this doc isn't to prove innocence or guilt or vince McMahon it's a documentary about mr.mcmahon that's one of the issues with them doing this during this time vince is in character as he normally is in front of a camera because that's what a camera is for... and then they include clips and moments during an interview to make him look guilty

    • @Bill-tz3wg
      @Bill-tz3wg 17 дней назад

      @@xMainStreamx23 - MainStreamx23, first of all I want you to know I respect your opinion and admit neither of our thoughts on this can be proven.
      I just think the docuseries weaves together a pattern of behavior in Vince that's consistent with him using the notion of "It's just a storyline and I'm only playing a character" as a get out of jail free card.
      If we were to take all the things we actually do know about Vince behind the scenes they align very closely with the "Mr. McMahon" character...which I suggest is 98% true Vince.
      Whether it be his sex scandals, how he treated interviewers like Costas or how he treated talent including his own children I think Vince (or "Mr. McMahon") is a devious and dangerous sociopath who cleverly used the WWE to enable his deviant behavior.
      Again, we can't prove the truth either way. I would argue that's how effective he was as the sociopath I believe him to be. Regardless, I appreciate you taking the time to reply. If nothing else the Netflix doc wove together a lot of things we, as fans, have known for a while an included a few we didn't and has given us more insight into Vince. In the absence of absolute proof all opinions are equally valid.

    With the bar being set so low, she certainly warrants a HoF induction. But it is not the biggest travesty if she never goes in.

    It seems like sometimes Vince's modus operandi isn't fully understood.
    His offensive mode involves Vince seeking to hoard all the power, fame and money (in that order) and he has no moral guidelines to consider. He just wants more, more, more.
    Vince's defensive mode involves minimalization, marginalization, mitigation and obfuscation. Since this is less obvious than his offensive mode, let's take a deeper look.
    So Vince is open about the sins of his mother and stepfather. Is that a surprise? Not at all! It serves, in Vince's mind, to make him a more sympathetic figure and MITIGATE some of HIS subsequent moral/legal controversies.
    So Vince didn't remember much about a lawsuit pertaining to Sable? Really? Of course not. He denied remembering and followed by saying he remembers she came back to work. That's Vince MARGINALIZING the charges Sable brought against him.
    I actually think Vince used the wrestling storyline concept to fulfill fantasies in the ring and/or on television. I mean, it's just "Mr. McMahon"...right? Wrong! Mr. McMahon IS Vince and was a vehicle he used to OBFUSCATE the reality of what he was doing in the ring, backstage and in private. His huge ego allowed him to think this would be 100% effective in deflecting any valid complaints or charges that ever would be brought against him.
    If this is a bit much to absorb, let me simplify. Vince's offensive mode is morally bankrupt but not criminal. Vince's defensive mode is immoral and was designed to allow him to get away with criminal behavior. No doubt about it. He's 100% guilty of everything mentioned in the doc but those charges probably only account for 10% or less of the totality of his crimes.
