I agree. It should have a dry sump system. Absolutely no reason it should not for the cost.

Love the shirt! Didn't Dodge have this problem in their older cars with the Hemi in it? I am talking 60's 70's, I think I remember watching a video about the oil being pushed to the back and not getting in the engine.
Heard they are having rear main leaks too. Not sure tho, but if true, has to be the crankshaft riding low on the main bearings.

You said it was just a modified hellcat. There's a lot of guys out there with modified hellcats a lot faster than a demon 170 and they are not having the issue. So I guess I think you're wrong. I think it has something to do with stellantis And putting inferior parts in that Engine. But that's just what I think I could be wrong too.
If you have a hellcat, that’s faster than a demon 170, you’re not running the stock oil pump.

Dodge wasn’t doing a dry sump system- the company was/is broke. The engine development cost was almost too much for Dodge to absorb, let alone a dry sump oiling system; that would’ve been a pipe dream. Dodge couldn’t even update the Charger & Challenger because they had no $$$$. These high horsepower Mopars were just FCA making lemonade from lemons. That was the only way to keep people interested in these old cars since they didn’t have the resources to do a proper remodel of the cars- but they could give them lots of power for not much $$$. No major investments were going to be made- they were just going to milk every cent from their existing cars, and that was it. Notice they had no new product in development for nearly a decade. Had people not bought these cars as they did, Dodge would’ve been folded up at that point, kind of like how it’s going to meet its end in the near future.

It's a classic run for cash model that's been used for decades as company is going under. Cut all your overhead cost and pump out as many units as you an as cheaply as possible. You bank what you can and then you shut the doors. The doors are closed at Brampton, the engineers are gone, and when the inventory on the lots is gone the dealerships willl start closing. Once the EV fails in the summer Stallantis will pull the plug on Dodge and Chrysler. Amazing that so few people can see the handwriting on the wall.
