i just recently realized that the forward shaft lean causes an open clubface like you have shown. i have strengthened the grip quite a bit like you say and that helps alot but is that just a band-aid fix from some underlying fault? thnx.
As far as it being a "band aid" solution, that might not be necessarily true. It just depends on the original swing mechanic error. Sometimes a strong grip can fix a person's swing path, merely because the MIND & BODY is aware of the change, and it is adjusting to the strong position / closed face. Questions to ask yourself: Am I hitting the same percentage of bad shots? Are my longest shots PULLS to left field?
