On the topic of monks and healing or alteration magic in dnd. 0:17 oh this video is gonna be good. Your timing is gold
I’d love a vod channel from you! You’re my favorite background noise!
13:00 You said it! You actually said it. You used the word sapient! I'm flabbergasted. Thank-you for caring enough to know the meanings of the words you want to use instead of using the word 'sentient' to describe a being with human-level intellect. Much love.
This is hands down one of your funnier videos. The Fingers of The Mountain and Dagail's necklace jokes had me bursting out laughing. Take my like JBN, you earned it.
19:43 Raminus: "It ain't gonna suck itself."
Yay for an Oblivion video! I really liked your last one, happy to see another!
On the topic of monks and healing or alteration magic in dnd. If i remember right; monks was introduced in mid-late first edition dnd was a lose combination of cleric and rogue it was at the time also somewhat connected to the mystic aesthetic. This was changed on and of in edition, but around 4th edition for monk to become psionics instead of their previous holy-esk theme. (that is if I remember right)
So if that is their inspiration it makes a least a bit more sense
"Monk of Dibella baby" love the bard mindset
Perfect timing, I can use it as background noise (pun absolutely intended and painfully obvious, I will not apologise) while I go to sleep, and then actually watch it later. Very cool and pooglers.
Chipmonk looks so much like just a guy I didn't realize it was Oblivion at first.
The mages guild in oblivion in a nutshell. Fetch back our library.
Conjuration in any capacity in the elder scrolls summons a dedra and forces it to take the shape of what you want weapons and armor and undead included
20:36, that was some very impressive teamwork right there
Man this video was surprisingly funny. I was enthralled for the whole thing.
1:06 Ah, I Appreciate all of your Astute, Awesome, And Astounding, Albeit Almost Annoying Attempts At Alliteration!
Not annoying at all, I just had to force extra alliteration!
As an Elder Scrolls enthusiast, I love your videos!! Keep it up!!! Also, I took the shots, and now I'm shit faced in the Home Depot bathroom.
Finally the TES content creator ive been searching for
Man, I click the "like" button just when I see your video's uploaded. You make a huge amount of high quality content I love to watch. God bless!❤
27:39 I haven't laughed so hard I literally needed air and started panicking in years, absolute gold.
39:29 My favorite part of the video. Back-to-back grunting noises from getting punched.
Awesome video as always but I nearly spat my Pepsi out when Raminus was on the ledge and you said "Hmmm not sure how I feel about this angle." as it zooms in and you're waste high with him. haha
Every time you mention paralyzing someone with a kiss I imagine Chipmonk doing the kiss on the cheek and continuing to fight like Liquid Snake in MGS4.
You did a great job in character creation man, he looks like actual human and not like lovecraftian god of lust and destruction
I love your videos so much man I could seriously watch them all day.
The "Monk" you're thinking of is called a Healer in Elder Scrolls classes. The Elder Scrolls Monk is basically a D&D Monk a.k.a. a Wuxia movie character
Man, this guy never fails to impregnate me with quality content :D
Alpha and Omega never fail to crack me up.
Love you and your videos. Watched all of them like three times in a raw.
17:40 an oversight from bethesda, the summoned variants of ghosts, wraiths and anything else that is normally unhittable by unenchanted, silver or daedric have a 50% resistance to normal weapons as opposed to the usual 100%. The unofficial patch for oblivion fixes this if i remember correctly.
Edit: nevermind this is what i get for pausing for video goddamnit
anyways, great video. excited and happy to hear you're trying out Tamriel Rebuilt, i probably can't watch you live on twitch but i'll definitely peep the vods.
Might be intentional, since having whole 30 seconds of ghost unkillable by regular weapons considered imbalanced by daddy todd
You’re one of my favorite comfort RUclipsrs. Keep up the great work!
Necromancy never made sense in TES. Everyone hates it, but you have to steal souls to enchant and recharge things. Perfectly fine.
You can learn and make spells that damage health, stamina, stats, and the like, and that is okay.
You can make and learn spells that drain health, stamina, stats, and such. All good.
All necromancy. Yet only reanimating the dead and stealing "human" souls are bad.
Not to mention how nobody seems to complain about you summoning literal demons from hell.
it's probably because every other time tamriel has a major disaster it's because of necromancers or Daedric shenanigans. also cuz filling black soul gems send you to Purple Soul Hell
@@notund-a To be frank it is kind of a good question why is it considered totally fine to summon dremora and other daedra in Oblivion, when we are in the middle of the crisis involving those exact things invading Tamriel. If anything it's the Conjuration that should be banned not Necromancy :)
Another great video love your content dude especially the Morrowind ones great to see you play Oblivion.
15:57 RS3 got necromancy as a combat skill last year, and the story around it basically was "Death (npc) says necromancers are evil 'cause they force the dead to do their bidding, what if i was a necromancer who asks concent". :DD
Been watching your videos for a while. This was very fun to watch. Bonk
Never have I been so excited for an Oblivion video
I think having the mages guild send you to Kvatch for a recommendation, only to find the Oblivion Gate. You closing the gate earns you the recommendation. Feels organic. Each major guild should have had a natural feeling link to the main quest. No use ranting about a very aged game
The cut to your character after lockpicking and getting caught, I'm rolling
After a long and stressful day this is hitting differently thank you 🙏
Just recently found your channel, to have well ... background noise ... while modding Skyrim, and love the content/commentary. Almost done with tweaking my mod list etc. (hopefully) so I'll have to find other things to do while watching your videos. Keep up the great work
