Hello Dr. McFarland. Can I use the Gigboard just for the effects, looper, ect. I don't want to use any of the cabs or amps in the Gigboard. I have an EVH amp. If possible, what would be the best way to connect it ( fx loop or midi)? Thank you sir.
Hey Mr. McFarland, can I control presets, effects etc. in my Neural DTS Plugin (external plugins) if so, how would I go about doing that? I have a Mac with logic pro x. Thanks man. Dig your channel a lot.
Doctor McFarland Studios that's awesome! Nice to see they appreciate your efforts! I'm gonna get one for my studio. Does it come with the 160 IRs and fx Etc that the new update has?
Hi, i'm getting difficult to choose between HeadRush Gig and Boss GT100. Besides, in my country i don't have a musical store where you can try the products. Thus, is it possible to share your opinion which one can produce the best quality and detailed sounds, and which is more practicle for playing live. Thanks.
Oodesh Bhungee I haven’t tried the GT-100. The GIGBOARD has a touch screen which wins in my opinion. The bigger HEADRUSH is still better because there are more switches. The GIGBOARD is great but I prefer it for studio use or for gigs where I don’t need to do lots of switching of rigs. It just depends on what your needs are. I will address this topic in a live stream on Friday. Tune in for that.
Thanks a lot for your reply. In fact, my budget allows me to buy either Zoom G5n, Boss GT100 or HeadRush Gig. But i prefer the HeadRush and it is something new for me. Thus, could you please do some demos on their effects sounds in the live stream, if possible: Clean sound, both dalay dotted eighth and quarter notes at the same time, that is galloping effect (could you refer to the link please, at 1:00(ruclips.net/video/ix0A4LN7HJU/видео.html ) . Finally, can i use HeadRush for live use please? I need to be confident before to invest in that great HeadRush. Thanks a lot.
@@visunmu2109 if you watch my other Headrush video you will get a good idea of the sound. The sound engine is exactly the same. You just have to get more creative when switching rigs due to there only being 4 buttons vs the 8 buttons on the bigger unit. It is still very easy to use. I will address all your questions in my video tomorrow. Where are you from and what time would be best for you? I have to consider the time difference so mid day my time may be night time for you.
As there are only 4 foot switches and say you have 6 effects you want to turn on and off when playing live, when in hybrid mode can you just scroll through the ones you want or are you just limited to 4 effects?
You are limited to just the 4 effects in stomp mode. What I have been doing is using setlist mode and making different variations of the rigs to get different combinations of effects and amp settings. I really don't use that many tones when I am playing at church but you just have to plan ahead and create the core rigs that you use all the time and put them in a setlist.
@@DoctorMcFarlandStudios that's great as I I don't really fancy the bigger Pedalboard version. The gigboard is the prefect size for me I think, plus I could set different fx for the songs I play in the band in setlist mode and scroll through?
David S Williams correct. When banking up or down you always see 4 rigs at a time which should be plenty. You can even color code the rigs depending which song you are on.
Hi! Is it possible to assign different rigs to the scenes? For example, if I'd like to have a Fender amp for cleans, a Marshall for crunches and a Mesa for high gain sounds, can I assign them to the scenes and then use them in a live situation in stomp mode? Or the scene only allows you to add-change-remove effects on the same amp?
You may be able to add 3 amps in one rig and then change the on/off states via scenes. I would just create 3 or 4 rigs, put them in Setlists and use the Hybrid mode view to see the rigs and the stomp/scenes at the same time. You would be surprised how you could use the same setlist for the entire gig.
There are only 4 foot switches but when in a rig and in stomp box mode, is it possible to access and independently turn off all effects or just up to 4? For example if you have 6-8 effects etc.
Phill3012 in stomp view you can only have up to 4 effects or 4 scenes. In Rig view you can access two rigs at a time and the last two switches changes banks. In hybrid view you can access two effects or scenes and a rig up or down.

4 cable method with rigs view or scenes would work great.

How did you get your hand on one of those so quickly? Did they give you one?
It showed up on my door step for creating videos.

I know it will get its own update but not sure when.
Doctor McFarland Studios ahh, thought you may have got a sneak preview on this version. I'm assuming it will have the same models and presets etc.

Hi everyone, I really love my gigboard.
I have a question for you,
Is it possible to use an external switch for banks? (up and down)
Fidelys Consórcios you could use a MIDI switcher for this.
@@DoctorMcFarlandStudios can you make a tutorial? thanks! your channel is amazing!
@@fidelys_investimentos yes please i also need to see that one.. coz icant afford the pedalboard
Can I run my Yamaha Motif keyboard through it?
You can run anything through it.

Thank you, seems maybe the full pedalboard is better suited.
Can you have 4 scenes per bank using all a pedals?
THE HUMBLED GENTILE 4 scenes in 4 switches in Stomp view. In Hybrid view you would see 2 scenes and and Previous and Next option to change rigs.
I've seen several videos on this product ,but no price yet, I'd venture out to day it should come in about $599.00
I believe it it set to come out at around $650...
Would using a TSR - XLR (m) cable for live direct to FOH/mixer work?
Don't see why not
@@DoctorMcFarlandStudios well, depends, are the outputs balanced?
The manual says they are TRS outputs so yet they are balanced.
Posso collegarmi in uso live ad un monitor FrFr e al mixer contemporaneamente e si come?
Grazie @@DoctorMcFarlandStudios
