Saw them in Adelaide, was first to barrier but as told by gentlemen ftom Sweden "No you are second to barrier " i thought rhe show was well done. Happy that other songs get played other than the same ones. Got tickets to Birmingham and Manchester so to experience that I can't wait
I thoroughly enjoyed the set list. Excellent follow up to Legacy of the Beast. I didn't miss the classics and i think that the band appreciate playing different material. If anything i am looking at the Run for Your Lives tour and thinking that i dont need to hear those songs again.
I saw them in Poland and the UK loved it , sounds like a lotta people didn’t look at what the tour was before going . They played as advertised technically problems aside
Was at 1st night Sydney, I had no problem with the setlist - refreshing to hear songs other than the hits. Takes a band with balls to do that... unlike bands like KISS.
@@RockDaydreamNation If my memory serves me correctly, there is a rhythm track playing chords behind the dual harmony. I would think it would beef up the sound.
@@RockDaydreamNation I stand corrected! There is no rhythm guitar playing behind the dual harmony. I still think, add power chords to what Steve is playing. Just my silly two cents.
I really like this set list. I've seen Maiden live so many times, I wanted a break from the Number of the Beast songs and other predictable hits. I loved the shows that I heard from Australia. Maiden is still the best at what they do.
I saw them in Adelaide. I admit I had reservations before the concert because I have seen some recent footage and some of it wasn’t good. Overall I enjoyed the show. They were better than I expected. They definitely were not note perfect, but their enthusiasm was fantastic. I knew Nicko had issues, and he didn’t play with the flourish that he used to. That was expected though and I thought the band worked around this well. The set list I suppose was my biggest issue. Five songs from Somewhere in Time was great I thought. The songs from Senjutsu I have issues with. I understand they are touring on that album; but, as what was pointed out in this post, once this tour is over, they will never play these songs again. None of these songs are destined to be Maiden classics and so Australian fans hear nearly half a set list of songs which are essentially filler. If the fans seem subdued during these songs it is probably because 1- They are not very good (Let us be honest now) and 2- Not many people at the concerts probably had the album. When they started Death of the Celts I used that time to go to the toilet and buy a t shirt. Bruce; who i have seen footage of before this tour and seemed to be struggling at times, sounded great I thought.. One of the pleasing aspects of the concert was that the crowd was one of the biggest I have seen for any band at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre; I read 14,000. There was more people there than when they played the venue for the Book of Souls tour. The crowd was pretty enthusiastic too. Maybe not South American level enthusiasm, but i think the band seemed pleased with the crowd reaction. But overall, it was an enjoyable and memorable night. And talking to people after everyone seemed to agree
I saw them last year in the Netherlanda. Great show and really liked the setlist. It was one of the reasons i went (could have skipped Fear of the Dark). Saw the Book of Souls tour and skipped Legacy. Waiting for the setlist of the next tour to decide if i wanna go. Depends on the level of deepcuts. Won't go if it's the same old (great) classics. Also thought the first few songs of this tour didn't gel that well.
I saw both Melbourne shows and thought the sound was fantastic and the band played well. I saw the first night only at Qudos in Sydney and I noticed the same issues Peter mentioned. The sound was awful compared to Melbourne, I noticed Bruce out of time, the guitar solos were too loud when they punched in for solos and Nicko seemed out of time a lot and would then get back in sync with the band. I thought they were wonderful in Melbourne and very disappointed in Sydney. Probably the worst Maiden show I’ve seen (was my 19th show) and I’ve seen them all over Australia, NZ, London and Paris since 1992
@@mikatuoh that’s it… did you watch this video? They made the same comment… maybe you were high… oh and it was the 3rd show I saw of this tour in a week… how about you… go find some audio of SIT from Sydney night 1 and have another listen
Loved the show in Adelaide, only song i didn't' like was Can I Play With Madness (never been a fan of that one). Nico was the weak point, I thought he struggled to keep up the pace of faster songs and yes he missed many fills. He had a stroke a year or two ago and plus he is 73. 50th anniversary tour next year, 80-92 greatest hits tour hope they come back for that.
And I have no problem with them playing newer songs, but their set list does seem a bit out of balance. A better cross-section of their catalog would have made all the difference.
I saw this tour in London last year and have tickets for New York in November. Frankly, SIT and Senjutsu are two of my fav albums so this setlist is a dream come true for me. Only things missing are “Lonliness” and Lost In A Lost World”.
The Prisioner is on the NOTB
Seen maiden so many times, that iit was very refreshing to hear music from Somewhere In Time. I loved both Melbourne shows.
I was happy not to hear the same old songs. Just grateful that they still tour.
The band is so tight. Bruce sounds better than ever and Nicko seems to be almost a good as before the accident. They are great!

I saw the show in Perth and twice in Melbourne . In fact, I met Melissa in Melbourne.
I can confirm Perth audiences are always pretty subdued.
Great stuff...we love the Mel here at RDN!
It's an interesting question - If one of the guitarists retired, would they replace him, or continue with just two?
I reckon they would stick with two guitarists....definitely

Thanks for the comment.
My thoughts with the Trooper, when they play the dual part, have it be two guitars doing that and have the other play the chords behind it.
Thanks JC...personally I would go back to two Guitars but if three this is the best outcome...

Really appreciate your take on this Damian. I share your views on a few points here.

I didn't see Maiden because I saw a preview of the set list. That was enough to turn me off.
We talk about the set list in the show Lance. A lot of folks had an issue with it, so you were not alone....
@@RockDaydreamNation I will be watching soon. Look forward to it.

I won't be going as they are touring with Killswitch Engage. Doesn't gel.
