And hair cuts! Kiddo has his head jerk tic that can be a problem for hair cuts. Thankfully, I used to work in a salon so have friends that know and are patient with him because i don't want him to suppress his tics! He just gives the signal and they'll pause for a moment so he can let them out ❤ love your nails, btw!

Oh my gosh I've had this problem my whole life! Even before I knew Tics were a thing or even considered the fact that I may have them! I thought I was crazy 😂

Omg I just got them done about a week ago and my fingers would NOT stop moving 😭 the nail artist kept telling me, “stop moving. You’re messing me up.” After I’ve told her that I have Panda’s syndrome (my mom explained to her what it was) and when I’m anxious, it triggers it. Obviously, she didn’t speak perfect English and didn’t understand much of what we said, so I wouldn’t blame her. But every time she told me to stop moving, it triggered it more

Ooh love the nails, and luckily I only have movement tics so when I do my own nails I hold them in and it's usually done pretty fast, so I couldn't imagine having to hold it in for that long at a salon

I had tics for a bit, and while I was getting my toes painted I kept on moving and the guy asked me why I was so ticklish 💀💀

Why do we sometimes (maybe even often) tic when other people tic. Or sometime when talking about a tic or something someone can start ticking? Assuming you experience that.

I have tic disorder, and i dont know how to deal with it in public. I try to hide it, but it just gets worse as i attempt to hide my tics. Any tips?

I love the nail color 💙
Also, i have a question: do people with Tourette's tic while they're asleep?? And if yes, does affect the quality of sleep, how good have you slept?

They don't know, they're asleep 😅😂 all jokes aside, though, my son has Tourettes and I've never seen or heard him tic in his sleep

From my experience, when I’m sleepy and in bed falling asleep I don’t usually get any tics

Most likely, it's completely uncontrollable. Probably means they aren't getting good quality sleep even if they're sleeping 8/9 even 10 hours.

As a side hobby nail tech(yes I have a license) , it’s better to say something and get odd looks then stay silent. Maybe some nail techs are actually half decent and be patient with you opposing to yelling at you to stay still

Can you sense a tic coming on before it happens?

    • @silverdweller2809

Some people can, some people can't. I have a feeling right before or during a lot of my tics and it feels like a tic. It's its own feeling. It's called a premonitory urge.
