TRUTH BE TOLD,GEORGE IS A KING OF MUSIC.YEAH,HE'S KING GEORGE.R.I.P. KING
George Duke was THE KING here - wow, how musical this is and the sound quality…awesome. RIP George!!
George, the consummate egalitarian, gives everyone in his band a chance to shine and boy, can they shine! All of them are fantastic musicians and I really love how tight they play together. He is so sadly missed.
what happen to him?
@@user-pf8hw7uh9z Unfortunately chronic lymphocytic leukemia. may he rest in peace.
@@maximogimenez9238 oh damn, rest in peace☹
@@user-pf8hw7uh9z nothing to do...huge loss...a guy like that can´t be repeated.
TK,....You have great appreciation for great musicianship.
Je ne sais plus combien de fois j'ai regardé ce T-Jam, chaque fois j'ai le même plaisir!
We miss you George we miss you very much man love you. 😎📀
This is one of mentors that inspired me on keyboard and key-tar. This jam is so funky. George Duke never put on a bad concert and would leave you worn out.
This is so nice when I listen to it while working at home due to COVID-19.
It definitely makes sheltering-in-place doable!
I'm so proud to be a musician. I must have did something right thank you Lord thank you Lord thank you
Pure Awesomeness. I came for Duke but was thrilled to see Ritenour here as well!
Energy so thick, brings a happy jazzy tear to my eye ;) What a wonderful day to be alive, hope youre faring well folks!
George Duke one of the greatest artist of our time there will never be another.
truth and facts
The Duke brand of jazz funk. It gets no better than that. Duke was the master.
George was a Great artist and composer. Saw him back in the 90’s and I was floored by his stage presence and his playing ability. I always loved his music, but seeing him perform it live was a pure joy. Lee Rit is also a master of his instrument. This is how music is performed. Pure unadulterated skill, passion and fun! RIP George “Dukey Stick” Duke.
The first time I listened to George Duke was his song "Dukey Stick"!
My nickname is Duke . The comment that Greorgy made "Pure unadulterated " Yes you do know how luck you were.
I in e
R.I.P George Duke ..Your music will live forever and ever!!!!
Mr Duke !!! We miss you in Oakland Ca when you use to play free concerts down by Jack London Square. Rip along with you wife!! You and her are finally back together again.🎼🎼🎼🎼😎
Geroge Duke was certainly a talented to the world of jazz music...
The great Lee Ritenour with the great George Duke! Awesome!
Ron on drums.... I mean, come on! Dude was pure fire throughout the performance. The hi-hat work alone is next-level. And the sound of that snare is on par with Teddy Campbell's "Trust" showcase! We're not worthy!
Amen
That snare is sharp enough to cut yourself on!
He killed it.
Only George Duke can master a Jam of this caliber
I've never watched anybody else pull it off.
Last certainly not least I truly love this song T Jam amazing the rhythm arrangements, vocals, and real live instrumentation which is what's missing today. Ppl want to hear real musicianship, real live singers no sequencers, or click tracks just real plain good old fashioned live performances so that the audience can feel the emotions that are coming out of the recording artist hearts 💕 and interacting with them with the call and response from the crowd.
I've never seen a photo or a video where George wasn't smiling. He always had a good time and when I listen to him I still do, too.
Wonderful i had the Pleasure to see George Duke twice in 77 with Billy Cobham and Alphonso Johnson then 30 years later with Stanley Clarke and Ronald Brunnell Great Shows with Stanley very funny also George told a story with his playing went down to the floor in theatric tears Stanley said oh Lord George get up off the floor great shows wonderful musician and better man RIP Mr. George Duke
Just have to say what a great spirit in the house!..Fabulous seasoned vet's all just having a great time together!...yeah!
I'm having fun, and all I'm doing is watching the video!
I just smile. World class musicianship. and a big piece of that musicianship died with George Duke. It's just so sad. R.I.P George, truly missed in action.
Okay I'm back here again! One of the best feel-good-factor videos on YT - prove me wrong :-p
What's with Trump in court? Feels good enough to me.
AMAZING!!! Mr. George "Dukie stick," Duke...I'll never forget you...RIH (rest in heaven)...
All these good musicians.. you have many concerts in the States, often in Asia..sometimes in Europe (Montreaux) and seldom in Germany... but i was lucky to see Lee Ritenour and Dave Grusin here in Berlin... I don't care the charts.. This is music, these are musicians !!!
Fantastic, absolutely fantastic.
George Duke was such a maestro and master of his craft. He left us with some really grreat music but he is tremendously missed !!!

RIP George Duke thanks for the best jazz in the world and thanks Lee Ritenour and everyone for the awesome sound.
💚
It's simply awesome that George calls for Lee Ritenour to the stage!
Oh Gott, George Duke..... bist so gut... für mich der !!! Keyboarder !!! Ich liebe seine musik..... Von Zappa bis hierhin... schade das er nicht mehr lebt... sehr schade !!!
I had the privilege of seeing the legendary George Duke along with another legend Stanley Clarke perform in San Diego. I remember Mr. Duke said while doing his hit "Sweet Baby" that he couldn't hit his famous falsetto due to them touring and he lost his voice. Man I felt so cheated!! Stanley Clarke threw down though!! Still a great show.
T-Jam... Great tune-in memory of my friend Eric Nance.. In 2006, we were playing the DUKE CD and this cut was playing while driving on 101 into San Fran via the Golden Gate Bridge in a convertible with top down!! You can't let the top up driving as the climate is changing.. Lol We were coming upto pay the toll-once-we paid the toll, you pulled over to let the top up!!! As other convertibles were doing the same thing!! It's 2018, I miss my friend Eric Nance Peace

That is a musical genius greatly missed with a power house full of immense talent behind him. Truly a joy to watch.
Marvellous musicians and what can you say about George apart from the fact he has passed into legend. A great man!
T-Jam is George Duke’s finest jazz keybord masterpiece! I. So energetic ,i keep repeating this video . Do you have a list of all the musicians in this collaberation? Also i thgink i see a third keybord behind Lee Ritenour, but the camera moves too fastv to see who is playing it. Who is the one playinng it?

The Master Of Jazz George Duke.
OMG I'm so glad I'm a multi instrument musician for 60 yrs of my life wish I would have started sooner than the age of 5 haha
George Duke, thank you for bringing back beautiful memories of my brother David Donia, Bassman, Stockton CA RIP - he left your name to me before he passed. I loved funk, so he left me a goldmine. Dropped your name to me. I thought I knew the funkiest, because i was older. Wrong, now I know what he meant and left for me to listen to. Brother Dave told me this is the most bad ass funk that anyone could admire. So true.... Stop the Wars.... listen to the music. A better idea, right?:
George Duke is one of the greatest musicians of our time, but Arlington Jones killed that piano solo. OMG
Understatement of the year
I miss George Duke!!

When he first came onto the scene he was out of control. The skill was obviously there, but the musicality was a bit lacking. Now to see what he developed into is astounding. The complete package as a drummer.
That bass player had about 30 seconds, and he burned it up. Too bad his solo wasn't longer!
Love the way he was leaning against the amp the entire performance!
You're not wrong! It looks like the same bassist as on "it's on" at the Java Jazz Festival also George of course
Christian McBride’s solo on the actual track was about the same length. I agree though…..I wanted more! 😂
