I started chemotherapy for Breast Cancer 3 weeks ago.. I also use the Alaya Naturals products.. I take the Super Green Blend, Collagen and pro/prebiotic every day along with a few other supplements .. i think that’s helped me get through my treatment!! I only have a few bad days after chemo and then start building my body back up quickly with these products! My doctor is amazed at how well I’m handling treatment and i really believe it’s b/c of supplements , Whole Foods and exercising! P.s.. i also have been doing your Ripped in 30 DVD’s so i wont have to go back to the gym right now.. Thank you for your content.. it has really been helpful!!

What she eats is most probably not what everyone should eat. She's a personal trainer, a famous one, her needs are much different than most people. But if she does a vide like that, most people will try to follow her eating days. I think she shouldn't do a video like that, unless it has a very clear disclaimer.

@@luisnabais You are right. Such videos don't help as much. Following her general guidelines does. I'm in Kenya and not familiar with half of the foods she talks about...But I've lost the 10kgs I wanted to by following her principles. Keep in mind that one maybe allergic, can't afford or just not like some of the foods she eats. Plus different foods for different bodies. If she does a video like that, an ignoramus is going to copy everything then end up saying Jillian Michaels is a fraud. Definitely don't do such a video Jillian.

Just started watching your videos.
I like your viewpoint of keeping it simple, using common sense and using your brain. Nutrition doesn’t have to be complicated, nor taking a healthy path in life of including exercise.
It’s a bit overwhelming with all these confusing conflicting diet from all these experts on extreme ways of eating, from plant base to carnivore.
You make sense, extreme fade diets just don’t hold up in the long run. Just keep it simple and look at the truths.

Going of Jillians cardio video, I'd say its safe to say she doesn't have a ******* clue what she's talking about.
we don't all absorb nutrients the same so I would actually recommend you get tested by a doctor to see what micronutrients you're deficient in and supplement those.

What are your thoughts on BCAA?
I'm 5'3" and for the past 2 months, I've been eating 1200 calories a day, no exercise. Although my clothes are starting to feel looser, my weight hasn't budged.
Why is this happening? I feel like I'm going crazy and just want to starve myself now
I'm not a doctor or nutritionist, but here are some suggestions. Have you gotten your thyroid checked? If your thyroid is normal, are you on any medications (such as antidepressants or steroids) that have weight gain as a side effect? Are you weighing yourself at the same time (first thing in the morning, before eating) or at different times on different days? Lastly, are you eating the same things every day? There's something called the Thermic Effect of Feeding (or Food, abbreviated TEF). Happy Herbivore did a video on this. The more processed or blended a food is, the more calories it adds on the back-end. That's why smoothies aren't good for weight loss; the blender does all the work that your body could be doing. It's better to eat food in its whole form as much as possible. In Happy Herbivore's video, she talked about a client who was eating 1100 calories per day and no weight loss. By switching the foods that her client was eating -- such as steel-cut oats and an apple, instead of bread and applesauce -- her client was able to lose weight. She didn't have to lower her calories; she just changed the food she ate.

My thyroid seems fine, and I always, always eat the same things everyday (steelcut oatmeal with blueberries in the morning, big salad at night, and maybe a lara bar). I always stay under 1300 calories. I'm just surprised that my weight on the scale isn't changing despite my clothes feeling looser

@@DeathAngleZoe You're welcome! Are you on any medications that could cause weight gain? Are you tracking, weighing, and measuring everything you eat and drink? Some people are meticulous about tracking their meals, but forget about liquid calories such as a glass of wine with dinner, or mindlessly eating things such as a cookie left out at the office. Also, are you making sure to count condiments (such as salad dressing) and oil used in cooking? If you roast or saute veggies using oil, those calories can really add up over time since oil is so calorie dense. Another thing to check is to make sure you're not undereating, because your body would adapt to the lower amount of calories and you risk nutritional deficiencies. Women generally shouldn't go below 1200 calories per day. Lastly, in your original post, you mentioned that you weren't exercising. If you're physically able to do so, try incorporating exercise into your routine. It doesn't have to be a long marathon session at the gym. It could be something as simple as a 15-minute walk (check out Leslie Sansone's Walk At Home videos). If you have physical limitations, there may still be workouts that you could do, such as a seated cardio or strength routine.
If all else fails, it might be worth seeing a doctor, nutritionist, or registered dietician. Good luck!

Seamoss with burdock and bladderwrack, love collagen powder, vitamin B12 powder which doesn't taste very good but I am not a huge meat eater , kale powder and I take a monatonic gold liquid. Essiac tea, black seed oil and silicea liquid but well.

Ordering now! I’m the same way, multi ingredient supps are easier and cheaper. No one wants to take 10000 pills a day. I agree simple is best! I feel like there is so much out there that is unnecessary, this is a great base line to cover all aspects quick and easy

Super beneficial I am going to try the powders and premix them for the week. I was making smoothies in the am with green food and protein powder.. and it is hit or miss depending upon on how busy I am. Do you recommend any vegetarian protein powders?

Ok Jillian, I just have to ask. Isn’t it best to consume greens and fruits from their freshest form? Or do you supplement them due to not being able to consume the daily recommended amount. I’ve always wondered about this and have steered from veggie supplements for this reason. Also, about collagen. Hi. Vegetables come to my kitchen crisper to die. I just don't eat enough veggies. May 18th, I purchase my first container of Organic Green Superblend. I think I am on my 7th container now. My biggest observation is that my nails are *hard* and are not chipping and peeling. And, they grow like weeds! I let them grow just to see how far I could let them go: I got about 1.5 inches before I had to cut them down to be practical. If our nails are an indicator of our health, I am seeing substantial benefits.
