I had never heard of Box Canyon until I recently read my mom’s journals from their RVing trips in the 1980s. (She passed in 2014 and Dad is almost 98.). They went through Box Canyon in their GMC pickup. They did both directions in different years. She talked about it being treacherous but so beautiful. Her words “we nearly didn’t make it over some of the huge boulders and rocks in the road. We were truly fortunate to get through without any truck or tire damage.” I had to see what Box Canyon was all about so thank you for this video!

Dude, this video is so good. I’m without words, this is like Really really good. We need to go to Montana mountain, four peaks, Sedona, and the rest of the world. Hey man, great video! I was out that way last week for a really quick Jeep on my way to the airport in Phoenix and didn't have time to make it to the canyon itself. I'll be back in a couple weeks though and my wife and I want to explore that area, and Box Canyon in particular, a little more. We live on the road in a converted skoolie so we'll just camp in BLM near there. Which direction did you do the trail in in this video? Did you enter from the south or north? Looks like a lot of other great trails right there as well. Can't wait!

Nice diff mix ! Me and my buddy have some moderately built Jeep's and the only time I have ever used my winch was on him in box canyon. He turtled screwing around like you and I had to winch him off. Ha
I pulled my 15 foot trailer up the box canyon in Ca. When l got to the deep sand l had to turn it around.
Went back a few years later in a van and camped in that opening valled "the grotto". Stayed one night because it seemed like a sketchy rowdy doubty locals party spot. People were going up and down the cyn. all day long.

i think you would enjoy Box Canyon in Wickenburg better, it has water to wade in to cool off in the heat,epic 4 wheeling, a mine called mistake mine

Did you just have your Crocs in 4x4 mode in the very beginning of your vidget?
This trail could easily be done in $5 flip flops but the scenery was custom Italian leather shoe status
Can A full size truck get in there without many tight spots?
I watch in 1080- because at 2k it starts to buffer with my connection.
