For context on the intro the reason Stephen freaked out about talking after Tom is because on his stream that morning we all were reminding him to talk after Tom. Many alerts saying “after Tom” were sent. So when he was the first to talk all the people from that stream freaked out saying “after Tom!!!” So then Stephen freaked out.

Funny thing about Guy Fieri, my DnD group did a wild magic sorcerer one shot and he was the villain living in a part of the Fae Wild called “Phlaevour Towne” or Flavour Town spelt weird. Wild Magic Sorcerers if anyone doesn’t know are basically sorcerers that when they cast a spell they have a high chance of something completely random happening (for example, my bard turned into a sorcerer tried to cast a Talk with Plants spell but ended up burning down a village). The problem with the one shot was that we had to fight Guy Fieri as he was a Fae Creature who found that material plane humans worked great in the meal he was cooking up and needed a whole lot of them, but we were all magic classes and he had fighters surrounding him. Our DM forgot while running the one shot that and we would be dead in seconds. Fortunately, or not, our veteran DnD player was playing a Chaotic Evil character (a Wizard turned sorcerer I think?) and made a deal with Guy Fieri that if he let us go then he would round up a bunch of people off of the streets for him to use in his meal. The oneshot was cut short by a couple hours but it was pretty fun since we had no idea about the Guy Fieri part.
Holy crap, that reminds me of a time where my friend hosted a one-off session of DnD where I just decided to name my ranger Guy Fieri, and have his ultimate goal to eat as many species as possible.
I saw a comment about Lord Dona'tor dressing up as Tom, which would be great, like put a bad wig over the cloak, maybe put some glasses on the outside

Jon does have a point about not playing DDR in heels, since i happened across a fanfiction using RWBY characters where part of how Jaune Arc won against Melanie Malachite was because of the latter's heels.

My most wanted Smash characters, even if they're extremely unlikely, are Goomba, Shy Guy, Tetris Block and Paper Mario.
So in law, there are actually arguments about if something is included in a broad category of something else i.e. is a hotdog a sandwich? There was a case I studied last year in my contracts class that was literally about whether a taco was a sandwich or not. And there were arguments for both sides. I believe taco not being a sandwich one but basically when this comes up in law there is a whole procedure that you have to go through to determine what the word means (there was also another case about what the term "chicken" meant (whether all chicken or specifically 'young chicken').
There is a famous case in the UK over whether Jaffa Cakes were cakes or biscuits, as this affected the tax that could be put on them.

When it comes to Smash picks... I'd say either Amaterasu (Okami) or Reimu Hakurei (Touhou). Ammy deserves more than just an HD port to the Switch, and Reimu is just inevitable. They just can't not let Reimu join Smash! Well... they can, but it'd be rude!

You don't need an SD card for the Switch if you buy everything physical. The game data is stored on the cartridge except for downloadable updates, and the digital-only games are very small. I've had a Switch since launch, with over a dozen games, and have only used about half my storage.

You know... thinking about the Smash conversation... I pretty much got everyone I've wanted for a Smash game, Bar like maybe two characters. I got Shulk in Smash 4, and in Ultimate I got Pyra/Mythra(though I file that under Rex) and Sora. The only two characters I wanted that DIDN'T make it in was Nero(Though if there was ever a DMC rep in Smash it would be Dante, let's not kid ourselves) and a Monster Hunter, who I've heard they were WORKING on, but had to repurpose to Byleth after Nintendo basically forced them to put Byleth in because smash has always and will always be a Fire Emblem Marketing Tool(tm)
EDIT: That's not to say I hate all the other DLC characters. there were only ever a couple I actively disliked and Steve actually WAS one of them(THe others are Byleth, Min Min, and Kazuya). Was. I like him now, but still. I mean hell, one of my most played characters is actually Terry, and I was just kinda... "Whyyyy do we need Terry when we have Ryu and Ken...?"

Time to grumble and complain like an old man for the nth time.
People say "Oh, anyone is possible because X Character got put in." These people seem to forget Sakurai explained why he couldn't get Mai in even as a spirit. If a character would increase the age rating, they won't be put in. Note: Ultimate's current rating is E(10+). Even in future Smash games (since they'll happen, you know it.), the likelihood they'll increase that to T is slim to none. So no, "anyone" is *NOT* possible. If they fail the "Mai Rule," they have no chance.
My initial idea of a Pokemon character for smash was Cynthia from Diamond and Pearl but Jesse and James is an amazing idea.

Been going through these recently, and I honestly have to disagree with Jerod on Sword and Shield. Yeah, it's nice to see the adults going around actually doing things and being more proactive, and it's an interesting response to the memes of "why is the kid doing all this, why are the adults all so incompetent?" but they took the memes too seriously and over-corrected.
To me, I find the basic just gym challenge and going through it all just.. OK. and I think it needs to be spiced up more with more of a plot. It frustrated me constantly being told "I'll handle it, you keep doing gyms" whenever something interesting was happening in the background plot, and when that plot suddenly gets shoved in your face at the end.. I couldn't bring myself to care. Because I was kept out of the plot until then, I was denied agency. It doesn't help that it boils down to Rose being a goddamn manchild because he wants attention and recognition for fixing a problem that won't BE a problem for another..what was it hundred years? thousand? Spoiled manchild throwing a, admittedly reserved, tantrum for attention isn't exactly riveting motivation.
If they're going to go this way of having the adult trainers be more competent, there's a better way to do it; having them try to keep you out of it early, but you still happening into some trouble with the plot when they aren't around to protect you and proving yourself so they start to let you into it more gradually as the game progresses so there's actual build up to the final big fight that involves legendaries is a better way.
...This was a long ass comment but idk why, I just get really frustrated when I actually start to think about sword and shield's plot and sometimes I can't help but rant even on a video this old. Story, along with other personal gripes, put it down with Gen 4 in terms of worst pokemon gens in my opinion. But thats just me.
Tentatively excited for Scarlet and Violet, looks like it's got some neat ideas, but SwSh taught me a lesson, so I'm not sold on buying Gen 9 quite yet. Don't know nearly enough, need to learn more about how things are gonna work in it, and get a better idea of it's story.

Crash in Smash is one pick I feel would really fit because it's the one platforming rival that Nintendo has always refused to acknowledge, and they'd rather acknowledge Minecraft and Undertale than to do so with Crash, but they could redeem themselves by pulling him out of nowhere like with Sonic. At the same time though, I kinda don't want him to be there just because I don't own a Switch and I don't want Crash to be in something I don't have (petty, I know).
Johto did pretty well, Lance and Silver both are fighting Team Rocket as well, TR isn't big enough again to be a big deal, Lance is keeping an eye on them and sabotaging when he can, kinda silly you are the only one really fighting in Goldenrod
If we want to be technical, per HGSS you were fighting on two fronts at that time and at the same time, so it kinda adds up to you doing a fair amount of the work too. Let’s also not forget that you’re also the one who put a stop to the Slowpoke Tail operation.

RQK1996 Fair, but again, HGSS kinda still makes you more than just some kid looking to become the next Champion. Also consider the whole deal with Suicune from Crystal that was also worked into HGSS.

The whole nintendo end game idea i think is good but at the same time it would need to be written very carefully or we would end up with another jump force, which i'm not saying there is anything wrong with jump force, i think the game is fun but the story is a bit eh for me
