- Wowsers I’m on P&O Arvia on a 2 week Mediterranean cruise but I didn’t want to let you down so have put together the first vlog in this series all about this brand new ship! So here’s everything you need to know about check in, embarkation and muster on P&O Arvia (departing Southampton U.K.) plus our first impressions of the ship and our oh so controversial cabin! I'm very sorry. My dad died on a Sunday and I was due to go on a cruise the following Friday. I felt guilty about going, but my sister insisted I go. It did me good before the funeral.
It'll do you good to get away. Don't feel guilty, as you say, he wanted you to go. Hope you find the time to relax and try and enjoy.
Can’t wait for Sunday. Bittersweet as dad died last week , but he’d insisted we go ahead.

Hello Jamie I just wanted to start by saying me and my husband love watching your vlogs. We have not long come off the Arvia what a lovely ship, we did find some of the staff not as friendly as the Marella discovery 2, but the ship and entertainment fab. I must say though we watch your blogs and I we noticed you push Mathew alot which we know is in joking way 😅 well my husband has decided to copy you with me joking 😅,it would be interesting to see if anyone else is copying you lol. I find it funny and playful. We love watching you and Mathew you always put a smile on our faces looking forward to your next adventures ❤

I'm going on my second cruise with p and o on the arvia end of next month to the on the same cruise. Last year I went on the Britannia to the canary islands. Fantastic loved it . I love my p and o cruises me 😁

I disembarked the same day you embarked this gorgeous ship. If you haven’t been to Green and Co yet give the ‘chocolate Earth plate’ a try because it looks amazing and tastes great too.

Hi Jamie, I just wanted to say thank you for the very informative videos that you keep releasing…. So helpful 👏👏👏 My husband and I cruised for the first time last year (late cruisers and long story) we have since booked 3 more cruises (yes, we now have the bug - albeit late 😉) we are embarking on Arvia in September this year and your videos are so helpful and absolutely priceless to us… thank you for taking the ‘time out’ to release such professional content. Very much appreciated… just a couple of asks… could you please send me a link of the magnets that you have purchased to use in cabin. I ordered some and they are not very good… Do you also, have a link to a good quality adaptor with usb charger for apple iPhones. Or if anyone is reading this and can recommend a ‘seller’ Amazon or retail high Street it would be be so helpful…. thank you again. Stay Safe and well…
Hi Nina - thank you so much! Really kind of you and glad you had a great first cruise! The members? Bought them about 10 years ago so no link i’m afraid - they were super cheap, however, and have always worked well. We just bought a standard multi usb adapter for our iPhones but now than the new ships have usb ports in cabins we’ve not had to use an adaptor since! Good for the older ships though.

Have you every cruised on the P&O Azura? I am no Cruise expert (forgive me) but I think it is smaller and older than the Arvia. Any thoughts?!?! We selected the cruise for the ports it visits, rather than the ship. We wanted to book a luxury/deluxe cabin. But upon studying the deck plans it appears they are all overlooked on Decks 8 & 9 I just wondered if you have ever toured this ship? We have now booked a standard balcony cabin.

The shuttle from the ship drops you off at world trade center - lots of HoHo buses there. You don’t need to book in advance either ❤️
Jaime would really like a vlog about what you need to do when going through security at Southampton. What do you need to get out 🙀🙀🙀

I will have another look. I have only been on one cruise so am a little unsure. I know what is expected at an airport when going through security and don’t want to hold people up 😻. Loved your latest vlog by the way
