- Day 1 of our P&O Iona Northern Europe cruise was our embarkation day. We embarked from Ocean Terminal in Southampton and the process was incredible. We decided to park our car in West Quay multi-storey. This was our first time sailing on P&O Iona and we immediately went to explore this huge ship! We dined in the Quays for lunch and took in some incredible views from the Crow's nest. In the the evening we had a great meal in the main dining room and enjoyed Festivals in the Headliners Theatre the Skydome show, Rise, was an experience. Pulse performed in the Clubhouse and we ended the evening in the late night buffet!

We are Tom and Dom and we experienced our first cruise on the MSC Virtuosa during her UK staycation cruises in 2021. We are relatively new to cruising, however we can now say we are officially hooked.
Our mission is provide a fair and balanced review of our travels. We look at the types of food that is available onboard, from main dining rooms, room service, buffets and pool side snacks. We include menus for each of cruises so that we can share the selection of drinks and meals that are available. Entertainment onboard a cruise ship is important to us and we enjoy theatre production shows, live music, quizzes and game shows. We love to explore different ports and destinations and enjoy sharing tips and tricks so that you can make the most of each port. We often explore ports independently but also book excursions that are interesting to us.

We got foccacia on azura too! Took me by surprise. Usually only get the standard white or brown rolls.
We do love a bit of variety. Costa bread has been a favourite of ours
We also failed to book the 710 club however we discovered that if you turn up half an hour or so before a show there's a stand-by line and about ten minutes pre-show-time they let people in without a booking. We did this several times and got in every time.

It be nice if Iona could regularly switch out Hamburg for Bremerhaven or somewhere else as they do the Hamburg/Zeebrugge/Rotterdam cruise too often.
We agree, although we enjoy Hamburg it was really nice to have a change.
The meringue was delicious, (I had it on Azura earlier in the year) but Pavlova it was not!!

Another great review guys.... :) Agreed that bl*ody bird show is just WIERD lol !!!!!! Just a small point... you mentioned you would not accept an upgrade to a deck 8 cabin.... Don't shoot me if I'm incorrect, but my understanding is if you tick the box to upgrade you can not then refuse the upgrade and keep your original cabin... ?
