Hey All 👋 hope you enjoy the first video of the Arvia series. We have sooo much content to come 😁 thanks for watching and let us know if you've been on the Arvia what did you think? And also let us know if you're due to go on the Arvia
Hello Kev & Stacey Had to laugh at you Stacey a sleep in the car, it reminded me of one of those nodding dogs many years ago, also could hear you snoring in the back ground . Love the way you always say its the other who wants more eats and the other one eats it all We always staple our luggage labels before we leave home Have a great cruise and be kind to all the screaming kids
So excited to see this series. 2 weeks seems like a long time but it sounds like something I’d like to do. Cruising is a way to bring your luggage while you’re going your way to the next stop. No packing and unpacking and getting a new hotel all the time.
Another great vlog … full of info and really well made, I look forward to watching the rest of series … I think you guys have really caught the cruising bug 😂 and love how excited you are each time you get on a ship 🚢
Not sure if it's been said but you can drop your luggage off at the terminal first then go and park and then come back on your embarkation time. love the videos very in-depth far more than other cruise youtubers
Hi Stacey and Kev. This looks and sound's like it's going to be a great trip. Can't wait to see the rest of your adventures. Thank you for sharing and showing some of the food. ❤
Hi Stacey & Kev we were like you when we was on the Arvia on June 25th and like yourselves was very surprised with the amount of children & teenagers where some were not well behaved and we saw alot of people complain about it but we did not let it spoil our cruise keep up the fantastic videos that you do as they are very informative Thanks Guys 👍🚢😊
Hi Colin and you've definitely got the right attitude. Yes it was abit of a shock to see so many onboard but nothing you can do about it just have to make the most of it 😁 which we did lol
Another great start! Did you ever guess you'd become "cruisers"?! Love your vlogs, especially your take on ports of call visits on a budget. There always seems to be a gooey treat that comes your way. lol
Haha no we didn't we thought we would really not like them but the complete opposite happened. Would always do them now as we love them but also love the non cruise travel too. Think that's why we loved our cruise and stay to Alaska. Best of both worlds then
Hi guys, when's the next one please? We take it the fish & chips in the Quays was pretty decent! Looking forward to your next Arvia installment is live! Mick & Angie
Thanks so much Mick and Angie and they will be out every 4 days. We will have a full review where we try everything available to eat at the quays and so the fish and chips will make another appearance yet 🤣🤣. Thanks for watching
Really enjoyed this, you two always have so much fun ! Excited to see what you think of Arvia, she does look stunning 😊 I need some of those fish and chips 🍟 😋 look delicious! Great video 🛳
Hello you 2 hope you are both OK thank-you for sharing your holiday it looks very nice on ARVIA can't wait for the next one yes Stacey it would be interesting your pack with you BTW your cases look brill hope you both have a lovely week take care catch you both soon xx 🙋♀️👋🥰😍😘👍👍👍
"There's been a murder" famous line from the show Taggart, you gotta say it in yer finest Glaswegian accent Also... Great video again guys, just finished the Alaska series and looking forward to these ones 😊
We did our first cruise this year. Loved it and wished we had tried cruises earlier in our lives. Now in our retirement years plan to do more. I have watched your videos for inspiration and advice. Really like your upbeat, happy and honest presentation of your experience of cruising.
our med cruise on arvia. 90% of breakfasts we used the quays and always sat outside where you were. Hardly anyone else did that and nearly always rammed inside.
Hi we were on Arvia the same time I did say hello when in the buffet Lovely ship to many passengers Thanks for taking the time looking forward to the rest
Wow, this is going to be great to watch. I’m doing this exact cruise in October on ARV is - I was on Iona the same week as you last year and your review videos were spot on.
Whenever we cruise from Southampton I drop my wife off with the cases at the terminal then go park the car. It's easy then to just pop the headphones in and walk back to the ship. Hardly takes any time, no traffic or waiting for cabs. 😊
Hi guys, loving the videos. We’ve been watching for a few months now and have finally caught up. Thanks to your reviews we got a last minute med cruise on the virtuosa in July for our first cruise and I think we are addicted already! Would be good to see a video about yourselves, what you do for a living and stuff like that. Maybe it’s me just bring a bit nosey but I think it would be popular. Take care
at the carpark, we just nipped into the premier inn on the corner and they have taxi phone linked up:) dead easy and much quicker than the Ubers - £10 to the P&O ship :)
Another great vlog from you both . Did you know you can drop luggage off at ocean terminal then go and park car and walk back ? Its about a mile walk / 20mins , saves ubers or taxi. Great to see you enjoying Quays Fish and chips again 😂😂
@@OneCouplesAdventureWho knows! Really it was just the selfishness of some people that spoiled it a bit. People getting their feet out everywhere. Bare feet in bars! And don't even get me started on the tea bag situation. Went to the quays one morning for a brew and there was only a couple left! I felt guilty having a brew. Cabin steward was even eating our cookies... Maybe. The one saving grace really was another couple onboard sacrificing their daily allowance of cookies to tide us over.
I can't believe there wasn't any teabags 😅 But at least some good looking guy gave up his cookies for you 😋 How are you both? Didn't click in at 1st it was you lol
Hey I am due to sail this Sunday on Arvia and have been watching all of your videos in prep! What is the security like as you embarkation? Do you need to put your liquids in a seperate bag etc? X
Hi Kev when parking at westquey do you have to book parking or just turn up and park have you found it secure enough for the price .thanks Keep the fantastic vlogs coming 😀
No you can just turn up and park without any booking. The car park is very secure, you need the ticket to get out of the car park and they have security as well. We have used it a few times now and never had a problem
Looking forward to your vlogs nice suitcases. It’sa port about the stain, I hope they manage to her rid of it. I went on Arvia in January. Seems a long time ago now. The first meal I had was the Yorkshire pudding in the Quays. It’s a beautiful ship.
on this ship in a few weeks so just in time from the best reviewers out there .Your reviews are the most informative realistic and helpful showing exactly what it's like and what's important .No look at me blogs like most of them .
As a resident of the area I think you are taking a chance leaving the car at Westquay for that duration. Secondly you might find your insurance might not cover any damage/theft. Your choice of course but the ABP/P&O parking is secure.
Thanks for the heads up but for us personally it's something that we will continue to do.Obviously it's our own risk and the same for anyone thinking of doing the same it would be at their own risk too
I have just realised what you mean for car parking ignore my previous message being thick you mean we take a ticket and then pay when come back off cruise sorry by the way your blogs are fantastic we can't wait to go as it's our first cruise xx
Haha no sorry I said you turn up on the pay 🤣 I meant the day! But yes just like you would if you went shopping, just pay for the length of your stay whenever you return back to the car 😁
We had the textured luggage set 20", 24" & 28" in black. If you're interested in any of the cases make sure you use the link in the videos description and use the code OCA10 for 10% off 😁
You have no idea what those small beef pasties do to expats like us. Even if the rest of the cruise isn’t good, those make up for it!😂 We’ve our first P&O cruise on Arvia in February around the Caribbean.
What room did you have because there's two different types of inside cabins. Your one was a long cabin rather than square. If you can please let me know the number of your room i can look at the floor plan and pick my preference. Cheers
We had cabin no. 15204. It was a standard inside cabin. I think the square cabins you are on about are the larger ones that cost more. We will have a cabin tour out in a couple of weeks
We were ok with it to be honest, it was the second one we had (the 1st being on the Princess ship) and it was a lot smaller compared to the one on the Princess but to be honest we weren't in there much anyway and it didn't justify the extra 2 grand they wanted for a balcony lol 🤣
Have to say, you didn't have to buy the sellotape, you can get your labels stapled by going to the desk by pods 1and 2. this is also the place to go if you can't get labels printed 😎
My girlfriend and I are going on Arvia in March, Caribbean cruise. £4200 for both of us, with £420 each on board spending, people Think cruises are way to expensive…find me a holiday for 2 weeks in the Caribbean for less 😂
We normally drink them in the cabin but do take them out with us if we are going for a walk around the ship. We never take them into a bar or the dining rooms
Really helpful video, We are doing the same cruise in September. Been on Brittania but this looks far bigger. It sounds like you need to book entertainment before boarding which is disappointing as we prefer to go with the flow
Yes we definitely had to be on the ball with the 710 club and main theatre as it did fill up quickly. But if you do ever see it says full on the app you could always ask them if there's any free spaces. You could get lucky and they say yes
I've never thought of using the multi story cark park. You must have got in before the price increased, it's £6 a day now. How did you pay? Was it through an app, or did you take a ticket on entry, and paid on return by credit card? and lastly were there plenty of spaces as it was close to midday? Great videos you guys make. Always informative and fast paced. We are doing the Arvia cruise soon so watching them all with great interest.
Fantastic video we are going on the Britannia in September and was really wondering where to park now thanks to you❤ we do can I ask a silly question as not gone from Southampton in the past can you drop your bags off and then go park your car? I’m not sure of the logistics of it all thanks can’t wait for the next videos tracey xx
Hi there's was was plenty of teenagers in that age that seemed to be having a great time. As more videos go out then hopefully you can tell off them whether it would be something they would enjoy or not
Thank you. Looks like too many kids on there for us grumpy pensioners 😉 Been on Iona a couple of times out of season and that was fine. Looks like you've well and truly got the cruising bug now 👍
Hi. I notice the cans of Pepsi Max you brought on with you are on your table whilst out eating your fish and chips. Is this allowed? I thought you were only allowed to drink your own cans in your room or has this changed? Thanks and love your content. Can’t wait to see more.
This was Embarkation day and we had a can each in our hand luggage that we had with us, so we opened that , the rest stayed in our cabin. Nobody said anything at all 👍
Hi guys. You're on the only ship we haven't been on, so looking forward to this vlog. Quick question....do u have 2 book the parking ? Or is it, just turn up ? Thank u
Hi I mean it's a public car park, you can park there long term and we will continue to do so as we personally feel it's safe and secure and have used it twice now but obviously parking there is totally done at your own risk so it's down to the individual to decide 😁
Hi at the moment no but eventually we will pick one over the other as it's a struggle to keep doing both long term. To be honest we don't mind either way as even without youtube we will still travel. We have had 15 wonderful years of travelling together before we even started youtube 😁. Will just see how it goes
I’m doing the trip down from Liverpool in November google maps say 41/2 to 5 hours do you think that’s about right ? Should be less traffic in Nov than July, hopefully. Looked pretty bad on your vlog.
Going down in an EV so will have to charge for 30 mins to make sure the car will be ok for 2 weeks. Don’t want to get back to a flat battery. Going on Iona really looking forward to it and yes I have looked at your Iona video 👍
We also travel from the North West but travel down the day before and usually stay overnight near Newbury. Only a short journey then the next day to Southampton
The traffic is a nightmare on the M6 between Junction 11 & J4a/M42 unless you jump on the M6 Toll. I've driven from Shrewsbury to the port of Southampton on a Sunday in August in around 2hr: 50mins, that was nonstop. I admit I was lucky with traffic.
Come from Liverpool as well but get the coach. No hassle picked up at the museum, dropped off at the ship. No worries about holdups as the ship will wait...and big bonus, go to the front of the queue when we check in. Would recommend it to anyone. Some fares include the coach as well
Hey All 👋 hope you enjoy the first video of the Arvia series. We have sooo much content to come 😁 thanks for watching and let us know if you've been on the Arvia what did you think? And also let us know if you're due to go on the Arvia
Going in October which deck would you prefer? I have deck 10,11,14,15 to choose from it's a inside cabin for one. Thanks 👍
We drop our bags off - drive straight to the ship, drop bags, go and park and then walk to the ship nice and easy without luggage 👍
Oooo that's a great idea, we'll do that next time
Great to see you guys getting some sponsorship, you deserve it for all the hard work.
Thanks so much
Enjoyed the kickoff to your new adventure, albeit late, Key and Stacey. Fun tour of the boat and another great price! Thanks for bringing us along.
We’ve been counting the days waiting for this Arvia vlog, keep em coming 🚢👍🏻

Thanks for the tip. There was a huge queue for those desks as the ship was very busy. So we probably saved time stopping and buying the tape lol
When parking in a public car park long term you need to check your car insurance as it might not be valid.
How close to departure did you book? It’s around 1.1k each inside for next year. We can get p&o discount but that very good price.
We booked last minute about 4 weeks before. We just spotted a great deal and went for it 😁

We definitely have lol . We didn't realise it was the Scottish and Irish holidays we just thought they broke up the same time as the kids where we are
Have been on iona in June to many people for me. Looking forward to your vlogs. Can you repeat where do you book your p&o cruise. Thanks 🎉
Was this the 25th June cruise, we were on this one as it was the start of the Scottish school holidays.
Yes it was. We didn't realise the school holidays were different in Scotland😁
Love it
Thank u
Hi you don't need to prebook. You just turn up, take a ticket and pay when you return
Thank u so much. 🥰
is your car safe in the car park
Ours has always been fine, up to each individual though if they feel comfortable leaving it. We do but understand others might not
@@OneCouplesAdventure thanks for your quick reply do you just drive into the multi story car park and just pay y when you get back ps love the vlogs
Wow, what a difference in parking costs! I presume it is all safe and secure?
Hi I mean it's a public car park, you can park there long term and we will continue to do so as we personally feel it's safe and secure and have used it twice now but obviously parking there is totally done at your own risk so it's down to the individual to decide 😁
@@OneCouplesAdventure thank you for your kind reply. Really looking forward to the next episode x
Looking forward to seeing the Arvia videos. Are these reviews your sole jobs? Jealous if so.
Hi at the moment no but eventually we will pick one over the other as it's a struggle to keep doing both long term. To be honest we don't mind either way as even without youtube we will still travel. We have had 15 wonderful years of travelling together before we even started youtube 😁. Will just see how it goes
Are you sure your allowed to take your Pepsi cans out of cabin and consume in public ??
Outside on the decks we do yes nobody has ever said anything! We obviously never take them in bars and restaurants
Honestly, it’s a 20 minute walk if you are desperate lol
🤣
I’m doing the trip down from Liverpool in November google maps say 41/2 to 5 hours do you think that’s about right ? Should be less traffic in Nov than July, hopefully. Looked pretty bad on your vlog.
Ye we have never had this much traffic/road works before. Don't forget to factor in a stop for a toilet break lol
Some fares include the coach as well
Taggart
That's the one
Ooh love a pack with me
