LOL. I’ll believe it when I see it! I’ve seen guys with GIANT backpacks stuffing them into overheads, not to mention the oversized cases you’ve mentioned here. My carryon fits under the seat. I just want to know WHO is going to police this and will they be capable of dealing with irate passengers.
Right? It’s like a game of Tetris up there, and some people are way too confident in their oversized luggage strategies! 😂 As for who’s going to police it, I imagine a team of very brave gate agents armed with tape measures, steely determination, and a lot of patience. Let’s just hope they don’t need riot gear for those 'irate passengers' you mentioned!
European airlines have been enforcing strict weight and size rules for years. I tend to fly carry on only and aim to fit my bag under the seat..I tend to travel for roughly a week, so don’t need too many clothes for that length of time.
A couple of years ago, Lufthansa weighed my carry-on. I had some read and then discard magazines, so I was ok. When I returned, I bought the lightest bag I could find for my MacBook Pro, medicines, headphones, and some reading material. For my personal item (briefcase), I carry a GeniusPack High Altitude bag. It has labeled spaces for my iPad, iPhone, passport, reading material, and some other things. It will fit vertically under the seat, so I can still put my feet under it.
A flight with Alaska Air asked me to put my carry on, the correct size and under weight, in storage at their cost as other passengers had too many bags. Why not change those with extra bags. My carry-on has medications that if lost are detrimental to my health. Luckily it was not lost.
My tote bag goes under my seat. Has meds, liquids, computer, phone .my carry on fits in bin. Never put meds in u suitcase.u might never see that bag again
One slight correction. 4:40 Electronic locks, the TSA will destroy them. If they're "TSA compliant", then the TSA might destroy them, or they might use the TSA key and toss the unlocked lock inside the suitcase. Depending on how the lock is built, the lock may or may not be usable after this.
Your information about "universal carry-on size is incorrect. The EU has been trying to get this done since 2019. As of date, there's NO "universal " size limit yet. There is, however, a weight limit of 22lbs combined between carry-on and personal item.
I've watched some youtubers long ago explained about why the carry on cannot exceed a certain weight. It's for passenger's safety, he said if there's a heavy turbulence, and the overhead compartment is empty save for that one overweight item, it may get flung around inside, gain momentum, and ultimately, broke the compartment open and fell upon someone's head. We've all seen it happen. As for the size, I think the airline got fed up with having to check in a carry on due to the overhead compartment being full because someone was shopping excessively and had lots of plastic bags placed on the overhead compartment. I've seen a group of 3 people boarding early and immediately occupied one whole section of overhead compartment that's meant for around 9 people. But then again, imposing the rule of "if it won't fit, stop shopping" is detrimental to the airport / country.
Video at 5:00 shows passengers loading carryons in the overhead bin wrong. The wheels go in first so that the bag is not in sideways taking up too much space.
That can vary with different airplanes. The bins aren't always big enough to hold a bag wheels-first, but if they are, then yes, you should absolutely put it in that way. Some bins are large enough to hold the suitcases up on edge, so even more suitcases can be packed in this way. But some bins can only hold suitcases as shown in the video. If it's not obvious how to pack the suitcase most efficiently, ask a flight attendant.
This isn’t anything new about size restrictions it’s just that people are allowed to get away with full size luggage plus a backpack the size you use to go camping for several days .
If you have a 25-30 kg checked bag you are likely not to have it arrive at your destination in Australia.I deliver delayed bags, the heavy ones.Buy two bags and split the weight, please.
I have to transit Australia on the way to Thailand from New Zealand. Never has a bag not arrived either end and it always involves multiple airlines. I just hate transition through Sydney-- security before heading to gates is so sloooow.
what are you talking about gate-checking is the absolute best. I deliberately did it for years, just hauled my suitcase to the gate, got there just as boarding started, claimed I got to the airport too late to check safely & got my bag gate-checked. No fee, it was always right there when I got off the plane, no trip to the luggage carousel, no having my bag tossed around the whole airport twice, it was beautiful. I hate the whole experience so much now that I won't fly, but it was fun playing the airlines' little games.
Last summer I flew out of Lisbon on TAP airlines with one check-in bag. The check-in counter was completely Do-It-Yourself (the first time I had seen this). You had to go to one machine to scan passport, print boarding pass and required number of baggage tags. You then had to attach your own baggage tags and take the bag(s) to another area to weigh, deposit, and print receipt. It occurred to me later that taking it to the gate and getting the staff to do it for you would have been far less hassle.
What about smart tags that help you find your luggage if lost? Not sure if they are lithium batteries or not, but it you have to remove the battery, they do you no good on locating lost luggage. The smart tags have been used to find more luggage than the airlines it seems, so this is not good.
Good question. Based on my search, Apple AirTags are permitted in both carry-on and checked luggage, as they comply with airline regulations regarding portable electronic devices and lithium batteries. In fact, many airlines are now integrating AirTag support into their customer service systems to enhance luggage tracking. learn more here: www.theverge.com/2024/12/12/24319503/apple-airtag-find-my-network-share-item-location-united-airlines-lost-bag-luggage?
it's ridiculous what they are charging for luggage, weight and now carry on restrictions. it's all about the money. in my case, i live overseas and there's no allowance for that. it's become too expensive.
@@rolewis13 Which is larger than the allowed 2025 carry on size. Gate agents get paid $10 for every carry on bag they bump off, so you also have that going against you as well.
I learned recently that you REALLY have to check the flight baggage for EVERY trip. I thought I got a checked bag for mexico, but it only included 2 carry on items. For another flight I get a checked bag but only 1 carry on item.
More than 2 years ago I switched from hardcase (or even softcase!) suitcases towards duffel bags as carry-on = it solves a lot of setbacks! First of all, duffel bag with 35-40L of volume is much softer than any suitcase = means You could pack it wisely and compress a little bit to meet new rules and restrictions perfectly fine! Not to mention, You can pack it's full capacity, while suitcase with the very same size lost 10% of it's volume in favor of wheels and handles exactly! Second thing to mention, empty duffel bag itself weights twice as little comparing to empty suitcase = it means you have more useful weight to pack and still be compliant with weight restrictions about carry-on! (when my empty duffel bag aka Osprey Transporter 40L is 1.2kg versus 2.3-2.6kg of empty suitcase weight literally means I can pack extra kilo of useful stuff!) At last but not least - duffel bags are crossroads = meaning no preferences to flat surfaces, You can travel with duffel bag elsewhere, including Venice with its paving stones or into the wild as well as to the places with perfect roads! Within the civilization, You would call a taxi anyway, so it's not so crazy to handle the duffel bag which you need to carry instead of rolling! Outdoor into the wild, decent duffel bags (Osprey Transporter, Thule Chasm, Gregory Alpaca, Patagonia Black Hole, Black Diamond Stone etc) could be converted to the backpack mode! Just forget about these suitcases for carry-on and thats' it
Wow, this is such a great take on duffel bags-thanks for sharing! You’re so right about the flexibility and how much volume and weight you save compared to suitcases. That extra kilo of packing space? Total game-changer, especially for those strict weight limits! And honestly, you’ve convinced me about the versatility-independent of where you're going, a duffel bag that converts into a backpack sounds like the perfect travel buddy. Plus, no more worrying about fitting it into tight overhead bins. Thanks again for this awesome tip-it’s super helpful!
I always check-in a bag even if I can carry-it on. I only bring onboard a personal item (laptop bag), that I put in the overhead compartment. Will they still allow me to put my personal item in the overhead compartment, or must I now bring a larger carry-on size to put in the overhead compartment, so I don't have to put it under the seat in front of me?
I see a variety of measurements given by different outlets concerning the “universal domestic carry on luggage size requirements”. Before I replace my one-year-old carry ons, please advise how I can verify the new standard coming out sometime 2025. Thank you.
I hate flying in the US, no one pays for checked luggage and brings on the plane 2 cases normally larger than what you are allowed to. Very frustrating these people dragging their luggage down the walkway between seats and then stuffing them in overhead lockers.
I make sure I’m within the size and weight my airline states. It’s usually right in the ticket info they send me. I also check the security restrictions, especially for liquids and electronics. Saves time and stress. For work I have to fly several times a month, yet I’m still an anxious traveler. 😬
2025 is 365 day looking, when within those 365 days will this change? If you travel a lot it would be great to have a more specific month, or even date?
I’m skeptical that these rules will be consistently enforced or enforced at all. I’ve asked gate staff why they allow everything but the proverbial kitchen sink to be taken onboard and been told that they would otherwise have to deal with abusive and hostile passengers. This lack of enforcement then results in fights over bin space inside the aircraft.
Good question. A watt (W) measures how much power your device uses per second-like its energy appetite. You can find it on your charger, device label, or in the manual (e.g., 'Output: 5V/1A' equals 5 watts). Knowing this helps avoid issues with airline power limits or choosing the wrong adapter while traveling!
What about people who have to carry on a cpap machine, is this classed as a 2nd item? I also read that all medicines have to be in their original prescription bottles.
The other rules that deserve mention relate to carry-on weight. Most US airlines don;t appear to care, but many other have a 10kg limit. Some have a 7kg limit. If you fly with a laptop and camera gear, this can be a big headache. The only counter-strategy is to check a bag with your heaviest lenses, but there are many downsides to that. Cost, wait time, loss, damage, theft... If all airlines could agree to 10kg/22lbs it'd be much easier.
I have searched and searched, Samsonite site, Swiss gear site, American Travellers site, Amazonand NONE repeat NO Bags meet the 22-14-9 specifications. If it’s 21, then other measurements are 15 or 9.75 Ugh!
Have you looked at Lipault?. Their pieces are attractive, lightweight, surprisingly sturdy, and meet most requirements. Their cabin spinners measure 21.7in H x 13.8in L x 8.3in W (don't overstuff!) including wheels and handles. Also, it's a less common brand, making your checked bags easier to spot on the carousel.
People get on planes with 5:38 huge duffle bags and over packed back packs. These rules only apply to international flights. Won't be enforced in the US.
I never travel with a carry-on, but store my backpack and jacket in the overhead compartment. I have the paid as much as everyone else, and don’t intend to store my personal belongings on the dirty floor.
@ That may be an issue … When we travel (I travelled to USA and had all stuff in my checked-in suitcase while carrying personal stuff in my backpack to make it easier to get around on airports. So in my view, we who travel light are “punished” for doing it. Last year I sat 10 hours from London to Chicago with a backpack and a jacket on my lap as my connection flight was late and I was the last to board. Besides there were hardly any space underneath the seat in front of me even for my legs.
Good! I'm sick to death of seeing people get away with carrying on their entire life's belongings while I pay to check my modest luggage and board with a small backpack that fits under the seat. I see no reason that airlines can't have credit card machines deployed at the gate to confiscate excess carry-on luggage and send it down to the hold - for an extra charge of course! Also, these excess, carry-on luggage passengers are responsible for a significant slowing down of the boarding process.
Not sure how accurate this is-at least not for all airlines. The one I normally use in the Philippines has not changed their rules (I flew with them internationally 4 January), and a quick search of the internet shows many different reports giving different data for changes in January 2025 (meaning there may not be a universal "agreement" for 1 January 2025). Just sayin'
How about plain seats? If two person over 150 lbs sitting next to each other they can’t move without squeezing passengers next to them. That’s bothering me more to be constantly touching and pushing from unknown people than carry on luggage of others passengers .And I can’t blame person next to me because it’s not their fault and they may have same issues.
😂Geeze not many people weigh 68kgs in Australia. Good luck with that. It’s kids you’ll be sitting next to. This is the airlines problem as they are making the seats smaller to squash in more seats. Don’t blame your neighbour.
America is the worst country for carry on luggage. It slows down the boarding process and the last passengers haven’t anywhere to put their luggage. I’ll be glad to see some crackdowns on this issue.
Just a guess but the weight then is not counted against the carryon limit and one can cram other things into said carryon. Stuff the coat under the seat with the personal item or in spare space in the overhead (waiting until others have stowed their carryons before doing so).
That way, you can keep your carry-on bag smaller, but still have room for heavier clothing. That means also that you are in winter and need that boots and jackets so instead of packing them just wear them.
Yeah, I've seen that happen more than once and it's really annoying when you've paid extra for a preferred seat with dedicated bin space and that space gets taken by someone who purchased a basic economy ticket. The flight attendants just shrug.
5:29. Yeah just don't take those shoes off. Having been on 34 different planes in 2024 I can say that EVERY FLIGHT I saw people bringing on bags that were VERY clearly too big and/or "personal items" that looked like they had everything they owned with them. Usually these bearded nomad/hostel/hiker looking people with a GIANT bulging backpack on the back, a second equally obscene backpack on the front, hiking poles, giant hep jackets, etc etc cramming it ALL in an overhead. So yeah... not sure where the cracking down is taking place yet. Will see when the 2025 travel starts up... GREAT tips overall though!
What's a kgs? Anyway.... The US has, historically, been less petty and sh*tty than Europe in many respects. (I know, I have lived on both sides of the Atlantic. Europe turns pedantry into a science)
It's a pre-travel authorisation, not a visa. There have been growing issues with inadmissible people travelling in increasing numbers over the last years. It ends up becoming a nightmare as it involves a lot of paperwork and hassle for the airline, etc. It's not so much a visa as much as it is a pre-clearance to ensure that inadmissible people are screened out prior to departure. The US, Canada and Australia have been doing it for years.
Hi Rules 1,2,3 ,5 non of the rules Airlines has implement , May be down the line or over the time May get in effect So your video confuses the immediate travelers and they approach, Travel agent and Airlines. When you speak them they don’t have any ideas about above Rules. So please say it may not apply yet.
About time carry on was strictly policed in USA. There are reasons it's max 7kg per item. 1. If it falls out, no-one wants to get hit by 15kg / 33lbs case! Is that why people with this size put it in a locker far away from themselves? 2. So everyone can take on fragile / expensive / necessary cabin luggage on board. We have always paid for booked baggage and comply with cabin luggage rules. We've see others wheeling on about 20-30kg / 44-66lbs of oversized luggage. Apparently the trick was to pay for priority boarding instead of buying checked luggage. At worst luggage would be sent to the hold for free. By the time we would board, we'd be told our carry on would have to go in the hold despite it all complying with the rules. With cards and phone pay, it's time to charge for over limits sent to the hold. Can be done on the spot in seconds. Hand held device and/or boarding pass scanner. Scan boarding pass. Scan payment method. Auto programmed to debit one pre-programmed flat fee (200% of booked fee). Electronic receipt only. Refuse to pay - step them aside and refuse boarding. If they push through, then airport police arrest on board. Been done elsewhere. Don't worry about offending. They've already offended everyone else who's complying and waiting to board. It's a customer you no longer want anyway at any cost. Thankfully most seemed to accept that our carry on will fit under seats (deliberately done that way) and they don't want to be liable for about $USD 7,000 of cameras, CPAP, ipads, laptops and other gear. Looking old (we are!) and not speaking American nor Canadian seems to help as well. The rest of the world can do it, why not the USA? We've done around the world twice (ex Australia) plus lots of other international and domestic flights in a number of countries. It's only the USA that's different. For those genuinely in need of a little extra carry on, wear a jacket with lots of inside and outside pockets.
Don't fly, drive if you can. It's easier to drive 300 miles that take about 4 hours than deal with all theses restrictions. 1Hour flight will total about 4 hours.
It's about damn time they enforce the rules. I was on one flight where the flight crew was asking passengers with small duffle bags and backpacks to put their bags under the seats to make room for wheeled suitcases. Why should I sacrifice my legroom just because someone else brought a bigger bag? So hell yeah! I'm giving this new rule a standing ovation.
@@NorKavon This isn't a question of business practice. It's a question of lacking regulation. However, you are correct that FAA does not set baggage regulations. Those are promulgated by the Department of Transportation. My apologies.
So Air France , KLM and other euro carriers are increasing the size allowed? I'd check with your carrier first. And I've never had a FA ask or tell me I couldn't put a small personal item in the overhead but I've always had international carryons which are smaller to begin with.
Air Asia on 1 trip were weighing everybodies carry on. If main carry on bag was too heavy, it was just a matter of taking stuff out and taking it on in a plastic shopping bag. No problem. You still took the same weight but 1 major, 1 minor carry on.
Ryanair is getting a lot of money with payments for "oversized" carry on luggage. So, in the same way, they should pay back the passengers for all delays in their departures.
I've never really had an issue with Ryan Air. I've even travelled with overweight personal items, but they didn't even look at me. It's too much work to check everyone. The important thing is to not take the piss. More often than not, those passengers who've been stopped and checked are those who very obviously had oversized items that would never fit underneath the seat in front of them.

Does those sizes 22x14x9 include wheels and handles?
@@leonidlukashevsky6487According to this video, the dimensions include wheels and handles.
@@leonidlukashevsky6487 Yes, 22 X 14 X 9 includes the entire luggage piece.

@@rolewis13 Which is larger than the allowed 2025 carry on size. Gate agents get paid $10 for every carry on bag they bump off, so you also have that going against you as well.
Some airlines will not allow a carry-on suitcase, a backpack, AND a neck pillow unless the pillow is IN the backpack.
really? even a neck pillow.
No Langdon, that's fake news
I learned recently that you REALLY have to check the flight baggage for EVERY trip. I thought I got a checked bag for mexico, but it only included 2 carry on items. For another flight I get a checked bag but only 1 carry on item.
Good advice! check the rules for EVERY trip
@@EmpowerUJourney And if multiple airlines, check EACH airline for their rules. Often not 1 rule fits all.
(when my empty duffel bag aka Osprey Transporter 40L is 1.2kg versus 2.3-2.6kg of empty suitcase weight literally means I can pack extra kilo of useful stuff!)
At last but not least - duffel bags are crossroads = meaning no preferences to flat surfaces, You can travel with duffel bag elsewhere, including Venice with its paving stones or into the wild as well as to the places with perfect roads!
Just use a soft backpack.
Makes me wonder if luggage companies are a bit frustrated by all these ever-changing carry-on regulations. 😮
I suspect they are behind the new rules. Changes = new sales
22 inches carryon only work in US but not international. Some international airlines only allow 21 or 21.5 inches
That's a good point, it's always best to check the airline's specific regulations before you travel.
I see a variety of measurements given by different outlets concerning the “universal domestic carry on luggage size requirements”. Before I replace my one-year-old carry ons, please advise how I can verify the new standard coming out sometime 2025. Thank you.
how about the hair dyer? Is it okay to put it in my check-in luggage?
What does airline approval mean for battery bank? Are we supposed to declare at the gate and ask if we carry or trash it?
I hate flying in the US, no one pays for checked luggage and brings on the plane 2 cases normally larger than what you are allowed to. Very frustrating these people dragging their luggage down the walkway between seats and then stuffing them in overhead lockers.
Good, stay away! 😂
Yep, some even have hard time fitting it in the overhead.
I make sure I’m within the size and weight my airline states. It’s usually right in the ticket info they send me. I also check the security restrictions, especially for liquids and electronics. Saves time and stress. For work I have to fly several times a month, yet I’m still an anxious traveler. 😬
Play by the rules Haskard as and you won't have any problems
Flying within the U.S. used to be ok but now it really sucks . Glad I was able to experience this before the rot set in. 😮
2025 is 365 day looking, when within those 365 days will this change? If you travel a lot it would be great to have a more specific month, or even date?
Im confused - WHAT AIRLINES SPECIFICALLY AGREED? AND WHEN ? ON THAT RULES ?
I’m skeptical that these rules will be consistently enforced or enforced at all. I’ve asked gate staff why they allow everything but the proverbial kitchen sink to be taken onboard and been told that they would otherwise have to deal with abusive and hostile passengers. This lack of enforcement then results in fights over bin space inside the aircraft.
Does this apply to South African air liners
I don’t understand those wart hours - what it’s this ? I just charge my stuff to 100 percent .
It is best to take the train or drive when you can. ( Amtrak is easier. )
Humm yes but this may not work if you want to go in Europe or Asia from the US
What about people who have to carry on a cpap machine, is this classed as a 2nd item?
I also read that all medicines have to be in their original prescription bottles.
A cpap is not considered a carry-on item. It’s classified as a medical device and can be brought on without counting towards carry-on allowance.
all medicine should be in the original bottle for identification, especially if flying internationally
My clap machine fits in a backpack. The backpack has only absolute essential items.
My advice is to just stop flying. When they can't fill flights in large numbers they will have a rethink.
Is that also included OFW bag ❓❓
Last time i flew was July 2020. Why does the USA not have high speed trains? Japan started out in 1964.
Thank you. See rule #2 about weight limits in the video.
I have searched and searched, Samsonite site, Swiss gear site, American Travellers site, Amazonand NONE repeat NO Bags meet the 22-14-9 specifications. If it’s 21, then other measurements are 15 or 9.75
Ugh!
My monos is 23" × 15" × 9.5
My “July Lightweight Expandable” carryon is 21.25" H x 14.17" W x 8.66" D (9.65" D when expanded) and 4.9 lbs empty.
First of all, thanks for the tips. What about samsung cell phone that has no battery in it ?
People get on planes with 5:38 huge duffle bags and over packed back packs. These rules only apply to international flights. Won't be enforced in the US.
What about backpacks?
I never travel with a carry-on, but store my backpack and jacket in the overhead compartment. I have the paid as much as everyone else, and don’t intend to store my personal belongings on the dirty floor.
@@Soundbrigade I agree completely. But if I have a carry-on, how do you think they will treat backpacks?
@ That may be an issue … When we travel (I travelled to USA and had all stuff in my checked-in suitcase while carrying personal stuff in my backpack to make it easier to get around on airports. So in my view, we who travel light are “punished” for doing it. Last year I sat 10 hours from London to Chicago with a backpack and a jacket on my lap as my connection flight was late and I was the last to board. Besides there were hardly any space underneath the seat in front of me even for my legs.
So my 23.5x14x9 (w/wheels) won't be allowed as carry-on? 😳
Nope

@@MireyaR78 sucks, because I don't use SW. Seems like there will be millions of useless carry on bags. They'll be accepted on Greyhound
@ yeah. It’s a bit frustrating. I just purchased new luggage this past summer and now it’s no longer usable as a carry-on 😥
@@netleyrosAs I said I can’t blame person next to me in my post because he or she has same problem.
What about more strict rules on obese passengers?
what rules are you suggesting? Only up to size? allowed on airlines ? Wow
Charged for extra weight what about extra weight people??
hummm! really? it is a question?
As a 5’ 0” female who weighs 104 lbs, have been asking this question for years!!
I just wear all my clothes on my person and carry a book.

Even when you are travelling for several days or a few weeks? Wow. Do you travel alone? 😊
How many shirts, pants, socks and underwear can you wear at once?
America is the worst country for carry on luggage. It slows down the boarding process and the last passengers haven’t anywhere to put their luggage. I’ll be glad to see some crackdowns on this issue.
Well that’s quite authoritarian
And checking bags and having to wait at the luggage claim is any better? Plus the airlines lose how much every year?

Vueling and Easyjet...now has a 21.7X15.7X7.8 size limit....Yes 7.8 inch width...it's getting from bad to worst..
That's what you get for flying Vueling.
Wear heavy boots and jackets on board? Trying to understand how that was a useful tip.
Thanks.
I guess I didn’t realize it may be a winter only tip
I have defeated all the nonsense rules and idiocy of airlines... I DRIVE.....
Have heard that some economy passengers put their overhead carryon way up front, even tho their seat is way in back ... and the airlines don't care.
Yes but this may change. so be cautious! safe travels!
Yeah, I've seen that happen more than once and it's really annoying when you've paid extra for a preferred seat with dedicated bin space and that space gets taken by someone who purchased a basic economy ticket. The flight attendants just shrug.
What about rule on CGM
GREAT tips overall though!
ha at least he wore his “good socks” 😅 and has a row to himself.
Fly first, problem solved! 😊
Checked in Baggage up to 10 kgs. No way. Completely wrong.
What's a kgs? Anyway.... The US has, historically, been less petty and sh*tty than Europe in many respects. (I know, I have lived on both sides of the Atlantic. Europe turns pedantry into a science)
Uk requires a visa and EU are going to require a visa
Yes and no. depeding of where you are coming from. From US, it is not a visa but a ETIAS a waiver visa to identify travelers entring in Europe.
Hi
Rules 1,2,3 ,5 non of the rules Airlines has implement , May be down the line or over the time May get in effect
So your video confuses the immediate travelers and they approach, Travel agent and Airlines.
When you speak them they don’t have any ideas about above Rules.
So please say it may not apply yet.
I will currently go to great lengths to avoid flying. If this continues, I’ll just quit.
what are inches and pounds? ;)
Passengers will still try to get away with ignoring the rules. Airlines HAVE to enforce the rules.
What the eff is a kg?
Don't fly, drive if you can. It's easier to drive 300 miles that take about 4 hours than deal with all theses restrictions. 1Hour flight will total about 4 hours.
Imagine spending $800 Tumi carry on bag that now you can only check in. What a scam.
yeah! but check with your airline before any definitive decision
Travels light..why all the unnecessary luggage..bring the essental..n no more..
this depends to where you go and for how long.
This rule has been for a long time but a lot of people took advantage due to they didn't want to pay for luggage fee. This is old news.
To many "bad people" not fallowing the rules ruined it for others 😢 ?
Hurray!
Was always amazed at the excessive amount of stuff that passengers carried onto a plane.
Always something new with these airlines and not for the customers benefit
lol you're right
This is in response of new government regulations about cancellations and abusive behavior by airlines regarding returning fees and so on…
That "universal size" (22x14x9) is too big for most European flights. So "universal" isn't universal at all.
Why would anyone fly?
The FAA really meeds to set uniform rules for the industry.
The FAA has no authority over the business practices of the airlines.
@@NorKavon This isn't a question of business practice. It's a question of lacking regulation. However, you are correct that FAA does not set baggage regulations. Those are promulgated by the Department of Transportation. My apologies.
Let all any baggage fly for free on all class on any airlines.
What are you going to do about powered devices?
So Air France , KLM and other euro carriers are increasing the size allowed? I'd check with your carrier first. And I've never had a FA ask or tell me I couldn't put a small personal item in the overhead but I've always had international carryons which are smaller to begin with.
A euro is a type of kangaroo, what are you going on about? Air France and KLM are subject to European travel regulations.
Buy a new luggage every year 😢
All of this is allowed by the government to the companies thst generate more money for them and taxes it is all
About it
good point! money money!
We sunk really low since 911
Air Asia on 1 trip were weighing everybodies carry on.
Excellent, travel has become unbearable.
It’s tough out there, but we gotta do what we gotta do to fly safely!
