You are so kind doing these videos - Thankyou for your hard work ❤ I’m quite hungry now 🤣
You are really comprehensive in coverage 😊
I've really enjoyed ur videos. Keep them coming as they really help to see what needed to do and give u good idea of sizes 👌
Thanks so much, appreciate it
Fantastic video guys, really like this style of doing things in that you actually show yourselves in the dining room. I'm not much for food videos when people sit at home and just put pictures over. The food looked really nice and I laughed when you both had the fish and chips
Thanks so much and yes we prefer to do it this way ourselves but I guess some people maybe don't like eating on camera and that's understandable. And haha yes we polished off one each no problem 🤣
Hi Stacey and Kev. I'm so glad I made my lunch before sitting down to watch this. Lol... All the food looked really good. I love that you give all the information about time's and waiting, as well as arrangements ahead of time. Excellent video as always. Thank you ❤❤
You both look stunning and thank you so much for making this and sharing it with us . Am sailing this summer and can’t wait now xx ❤
Arrrr thanks so much Sarah
Great video guys x so excited for our first cruise on Arvia on Saturday x
Great video once again.
You can really see the progression of your channel the more content you release.
Love it.
Thanks so much, we really appreciate you saying that 👍
Hi guys, great video as always. I've cruised on P & O since 1966 (Iberia) and am going on Ventura on August 19th, so I know a bit about the line. The quality of dishes, portion sizes, and choice, in the MDRs has fallen over the years, and DRAMATICALLY so since 'speciality' dining rooms started to appear. This is deliberate of course to try to get you go in the premium food venues to spend more money, which I understand. Years ago full silver-service was the norm across the fleet, and even recently, a dedicated sommelier was always at hand. Lunch menus too in the MDRs are a pale imitation of what they once were; P & O would never have dreamed of offering a 'Filled Roll' as they would have been called then :😆. Having said all that, by today's standards, P & O offer value for money and a good 'British' style cruise. One thing I must pick you up on guys (from an old sea dog)...Never put 'The' before a ships name. It's 'Arvia' or 'Brittania' never 'The' Arvia or 'The' Brittania. keep up the good work, you're such a genuine couple 🤩
Thanks for the info and the comment. We only did our first cruise last May so we have no idea how things used to be on these cruise ships. It seems from what you have said though that things have changed quite a bit then
@@OneCouplesAdventure They certainly have. My first two P & O cruises were on Iberia in 1966 as I said, and the second on Canberra on a Christmas cruise in 1970. On Iberia there we four of us in an inside four berth (two up and two down bunks) in tourist-class (two class ships in those days!) all that was in the cabin was a sink and a couple of cupboards, no air-con. if you wanted the toilet, shower or bath, there was a shared one down the corridor. The corridor has lino on the floor! On Canberra we were in first-class (Canberra later went to one class), it was like being in a palace to us. The food and service was outstanding, our 'staterooms' were huge with 'all mod cons', as en-suite facilities were called then :) Hope you cruise on many more ships, you two! All the best.
Ho WOW, gotta tell you guys , but my MSC cruise, we finally received embarkation information, and we've been given an amazing upgrade , we booked a basic inside cabin as it was only a short cruise, now we have a balcony family cabin on deck 13 , plus we phoned up because the embarkation timewas 16:00 , that's most of the day gone , but the nice guys at msc have given us a new time of 10 am BRILLIANT, so excited 😊, looking forward to your next video.
Brilliant, that's fantastic for you 👍
Fab video! Thank you! Gutted we can’t watch all your Arvia content before boarding tomorrow because you are so informative ❤
Have a great time
The move to vertual queues at lunch and dinner on the new ship is keeping us away much prefer set times when you know where are. To be rolling a dice 🎲 every night is not our idea of a relax holiday. Big Ship booking mania, of food and show 👎. Great video and well resented. Thanks
Hi guys, just found your vlog and you guys are great, very informative. We go on Arvia next May around the med. Looking forward to the rest of the Arvia videos.
Thanks so much
Yummmm the food looks so good. Thanks for giving us such a detailed video. It really helps us.
Thanks for your advice about the Arvia MDR. Your videos are brilliant.
Great video. I love the food ones
We love filming them lol
Great vlog guys… we have always been buffet people but after watching this I am seriously considering the MDR on our next P&O cruise, (Britannia) again next year… thanks for all the information 😊
Great video. Thanks. Looking forward to watching your other Arvia videos. Xx
Just sat down to watch the latest video.
Your videos are absolutely brilliant. So informative. We are on the Arvia next July, so have a long wait. X
Thanks for the info guys. We are on the Arvia med cruise 2025. We have done Iona so the comparisons you highlighted were helpful. It could all change again when we go. Look forward to your next video.
When I was on Iona the sample menus didn’t work either, I’m really picky eater the lunch menu was better then the evening
Wonder if they do fried bread for breakfast 😅 ❤ on Ariva Caribbean Feb 24
No.1 maple syrup > golden syrup on pancakes.
No.2 who doesn't order extra chips/fries? (Not me)
No.3 that lemon custard thingy looked delicious
No.4 great video as always 😊
Good tip about the omelette - thank you x
Are you both self employed or do you get an amazing annual holiday entitlement 😂😂
Here in the Uk we normally get 24 days holidays paid 😊
wow just put 2 o 3 lbs just watching good one again good info not been on this ship but if we do thanks.
steve crewe
Hahaha 😁
Hello Kev & Stacey
Might have to order 2 of the sharing plates just for myself
Does the P&O app work on any of there ships ? don't think so
Great VLOG
amazing video. Quick question. Do you know how quick the alcohol service is in the MDR?
Hi we don't know I'm sorry as we don't have the drinks package
@@OneCouplesAdventure aww it’s ok. Was just curious. Still have 2 years to prepare for Iona and I am sure. Lot will change in that time! Lol 😂
Great video and content. Going on Arvia in January
Ah. Thank you so much
Hi, great video, but I cannot find the p&o app in the App Store, can you point me in the right direction please, thanks
They call it an "app" but it's just a website.
Here's a link to our P&O "app" video that explains how it works and how to use it.
You're not the 1st, and you won't be the last to ask us this question lol

@@OneCouplesAdventure thanks
4 day old kebab meat 😂😂….sounds about right! That eggs Benedict looked very underwhelming….glad it tasted ok!
Hi guys. Thanks for the videos. How do you book for a restaurant if you don't have wifi?
Hi ,you connect to the ships WiFi, there is no charge for this as you can't use it to browse etc, it only lets you access the P&O app
Great Vlog again , on the Arvia cruise before you. Have only ever cruised on P& O and would be interested how you rate there food with the other cruise lines you have sailed on ?
We really enjoyed the Food on Princess, there's was really good
Great video. Going on Arvia on Sunday, so can't wait to try out everything! What was your favourite port of call on this trip?
Probably Valencia and Cadiz. We had never been to those 2 places before and really enjoyed them
I’m 8 minutes in and I’m really grateful I’m traveling on Princess 😂😂😂 doesn’t seem like this compares
Yes the food was amazing on Princess
Hello my friend 🙋🤝🙋🇨🇭
Very Very good 💞💞💞💞
Big like 👍👍
My favourite vlogs 😊
Do you book “early saver” or “select” fare? Any recommendations please 🙏🏻 😊
We have always had the early saver. Just because we aren't bothered about pre selecting our cabin or anything like that. If you can get a good deal on the select fate then maybe worth going for 👍
I thought kev had some sort of major hair make over in the breakfast bit, then released he has a black hat on backwards 😂😂
🤣
Xx
My wife and myself are on the Arvia in June. being of a certain age can you tell me do I have to be on the ships wifi to use the app? this booking is the only thing that's concerning us
Yes connected to the ships WiFi which is free but if you aren't tech savvy then there are screens about that are easy to use and you can just use them
Thanks for the quick response the screens sound really handy thanks
@John-P no problem l, you just scan your cruise card on them and you can do everything on it then
The screens sound much better than the phone thanks again
I hope the food was better than what it was on the maiden voyage. The food was cold ,and service was poor. With exception to the keel and cow which was excellent. Six street dinner wasn’t too good either. Happy cruising.
Yes what we had was all ok .We didn't have any problems in the few times we ate in The MDR, we did eat at alot of other places too though. We heard the stories from the Maiden Voyage about the food though
I’m glad to hear your food was okay. Seems like P&O have sorted things out.
We are on the Arvia next July, looks great. Is there no buffet style restaurant?
Hi yes this is the Main Dining Room, we have lots more videos to come reviewing all the other places there is to eat including the buffet
@@OneCouplesAdventure that's great,thanks.....we live in wrexham but have a close friend in Lightwood
First comment!
I am gonna take a punt on 6am early?
Haha it was half 6 In the morning 🤣
This is what we like about P&O pre departure information, from when you first book , they keep you informed, even a countdown how many day's to go , we recently booked another p&o cruise for early next year and already received information about the cruise and that countdown 😀, But , MSC ,well so far we have had one email to confirm that we booked ,nothing else, i have emailed them asking is everything OK we only have three weeks to go, still nothing 😮
Yes MSC can be a bit of a pain with information before you cruise but are much better once on board. And yes it was nice on the Arvia to be be able to look beforehand and book a place In the MDR if we wanted to
How's many are on board guys?
5800 👍
@@OneCouplesAdventure what time do you guys eat always looks so quiet
Some of those dishes looked a bit naff especially the single lonely egg benedict and those croquettes 😂good vid though, love the way you both say words like booking and looking
Haha thanks do we say it strange lol? 🤣. And yes where was the other half of the English muffin lol
@@OneCouplesAdventure strange to someone from the Midlands yeah! i guess I pronounce it more like a buck sound you guys are like a boooook sound 😂
