@@Roboto82 the wifi thing I’m not even joking about when to comes to the limit. The fact that you have to use Sony’s 1 specific pair of headphones to be able to use headphones with the device. That is…. Limiting I’d say. Not even your other pulse headphones let alone your Bose or any other Bluetooth headset. Nope. Just the 1 specific pair that you have to buy for 150. Essentially making the system 350. Listen I love Sony. It’s just this is such a weird move by them.
I can see this as being a step away from a handheld streaming device, but I don't know why Sony would release this as a remote play-only device. Maybe they plan on making it a streaming device in the near future?
They probably don't want someone buying this, getting their subscription service, and bypassing the PS5 altogether. Therefore they're tying it to the PS5 to force PS5 sales. Sony is really on one, they do stuff like this every single time they get even a margin of market dominance, they nickel and dime everything. Vote with your wallets, don't support these decisions.
@@_Gorthax Not true! Remote play is the pre cursor to streaming as they both require the device to tap into a remote server to access the game. In the case of Remote play, your PS5 acts as that local remote server, for full scale streaming from the cloud it would be using a server farm of PS5 's somewhere in the world, hopefully close enough so that it is able to find a regional server. Literally the ability for Sony to transition this device into a streaming and remote play device is a single patch away as all it would do is allow the device to look for/connect with the Sony PS5 server farm instead of just your local PS5.
Youd think it would be better business to sell attachment dualsense part sold seperate, in different colors and styles which would also be pro consumer because stick drift is inevitable. @toyaluv86 so update. You can use it wherever you go. Your Playstation just has to be on before you leave the house. Can't be in rest mode or off. It has to be on.
I'd be a tad more interested in this if it was more of a traditional handheld console like the Vita. Another potential problem is the remote play on Wi-fi. I have a really fast internet connection but when I play remote play on something, like my PC, there is still a slight hint of input lag. Not so bad as it's unplayable but enough to hinder the gameplay experience as a whole and I wonder how that will be on this device because $200 dollars is a lot to have that annoyance persist, regardless of being able to play anywhere in the house.
Have you tried upgrading your router? I had lag issues running PCVR over wifi to my Quest 2 but I got a decent Asus Wifi 6 router and now I have no issues. Your internet connection is not really a factor here at all, it's completely up to your wifi bandwidth and speed.
@@lordchaos9148broke? Naw fam people who say that work at McDonald's. It's intelligent to NOT blow 200$ on a POS device. That's like buying a car brand new without negotiating for below sticker
Unpopular opinion judging from the comments, but I actually am buying this. Sometimes just lying down on a cushion/mattress and playing my games up front instead of a fixed sitting with my spinal column getting crunched while/after a marathon of gaming is alluring in itself. Also I like the idea of accessing my PS5 via a friend's/families' house while I'm far away from the console, especially when we don't have to worry about split-screen. It's pretty alluring actually; the Portal's Dualsense features and the low latency itself compared to a smartphone's Remote Play app adds to it altogether. I like this actually. I like it! 🥰👍

Essentially making the system 350. Listen I love Sony. It’s just this is such a weird move by them.
I can see this as being a step away from a handheld streaming device, but I don't know why Sony would release this as a remote play-only device. Maybe they plan on making it a streaming device in the near future?
@@_Gorthaxmaybe someone can figure out how to get a ps4 in this thing.
Basically just a monitor with a controller
They probably don't want someone buying this, getting their subscription service, and bypassing the PS5 altogether. Therefore they're tying it to the PS5 to force PS5 sales. Sony is really on one, they do stuff like this every single time they get even a margin of market dominance, they nickel and dime everything. Vote with your wallets, don't support these decisions.
@@_Gorthax what other components needs for streaming? It has wifi, an screen and a medium cpu right?
@@_Gorthax
Not true!
