From what I have read on the forums the stock fans are pretty full proof, they were designed to maximize cooling due to the temperatures from the rotory engine. I made another post on an older video you had. If you want better cooling replace you oil cooler thermostats each cooler has them on the bottom edge. Rotary performance sells them and a few other companies.

I also think Mazda knew what they were doing when designing those fans after all the reputation is on the line, but also these cars were not sold as performance cars and mainly for the streets so depending on the climate where you live, it might be hotter or cooler like where I live. It’s mid range. I’m in South Carolina. Summers are hot while winters are nice, there’s no snow here and it’s not freezing weather but here’s the thing the stock fans work well with stock radiator. If you want to install racing radiator you will need to find a way to make those stock fans work, but I decided to use aluminum raider with aluminum shroud to keep the aftermarket fans, the aluminum shroud that I’m using specifically designed for those fans, you will not be able to install actual Mazda fans but of course anything is possible with some modification, but it won’t be an easy task, also these fans that I’m installing are lower profile and based on what I’ve seen, they do some good cooking. I don’t know how they compare, but they’re not that bad either.
