Solo reaction channels are boring af. Get a friend or a family member to watch with you.
lmao don’t watch it if it’s boring ???
Honestly, as a solo reaction channel she is doing it great. The comments and points about the show are a plus, what we watchers can enjoy. Maybe you need to keep em till the end or not it's something that I wont be sure to suggest about. Good job lady, I just found you and I'll be checking the full series.
@@franciscojosecardenetedela2008 thank u🥰
Lmao. Wtf. Don’t watch then. Multiple people is usually annoying as hell cause they are talking and missing show dialogue all over the place among many diff things.
@@gigiiiswatching I like your reactions, and I'm annoyed at several family/friends' reaction channels bc they usually scream, exaggerate and don't pay attention. I love yours.
Don't apologize for crying there are people who discontent reality for the pain and the abuse in real life and is hard but is a form to heal their mind
I've seen some people mention that Anubis has been imprisoned and you can see him in the chamber with the other imprisoned gods when Khonshu is placed there. For that reason, Tawaret is filling in for Anubis and that is why she needs the cards. She isn't totally sure what to say because this isn't normally her job.
Just a theory, not sure how true it might be.
ooohhh that’s a great observation! it would make sense that it’s Taweret doing his job if he was imprisoned
@@gigiiiswatching Typically Taweret would transport the souls to Anubis to be have their hearts weighed, so it seems she is doing double duty.
@@foulrot exactly!
If I remember correctly, there aren't that many egyptian gods. I thought that scene at the beginning of episode 4 meant that almost all of the gods are imprisoned and the avatars are fakes or something. That scene was really devastating to me but none of the reactors seem to see it this way.
@@chen-yumau1913 There are actually quite a few. There are the ones everyone knows about, but "secondary" gods exist as well.
This episode 5 is quite symbolic as it also represent the 5 stages of grief.. One being Denial to finally acceptance.
oh. my goodness. that's right!!
This episode gave me a ratatouille moment but instead of flashing back to my mom's delicious cooking it was just the physical and emotional abuse
If Steven is the representation of the pain, fear and denial of Marc about the reallity of his own mother hates him then probably Jake is all the pain and fear turned into rage, anger and violence after being a victim of years and years of child abuse
If the "Marc" who is seddated is actually Jake then the only scene of the third personality in this episode was about a guy who take a random object from Arthur's desk to try to stabb him to the death while he is looking him with the eyes of a psycopath. Thats also explain why Jake slaughtered those guys in episode 3
I too thought it was Jake because he immediately went for the weapon but then Marc made a comment about the meds and if it was actually Jake in the scene before he wouldn't remember them, just like he doesn't remember when Steven or Jake take the wheel. that's the reasoning I went with but idk
I cried through the whole thing, and I kept forgetting that Marc and Steve are the same actor he’s that good!
What a good reaction, I hate those who try to guess what is going to happen or start talking in the most emotional part. This is how you enjoy a series connecting with the characters and their emotions
thank you!🥰
The reality that many people have been disciplined by their mother is an everyday tragedy. The episode provided evidence that child abuse can destroy a child forever into their adult life. On so many levels this episode was excellent. The acting, the director's work, and the colourful underworld. We have to remember Oscar Issac's had to do these scene's twice, his acting was off the charts, way past excellent.
Your tears and many others who watched is exactly how an actor's performance grips our souls and pulls that emotional release from us in tears and laughter. Marvel has done a great job in delivering great actors to their MCU, happy comics were never a Marvel trait. Every Marvel comic has tragic as the foundation of all their superhero's and villeins. I'm sure this episode has a strong chance to be nominated for Oscar Issac's acting.
I love how very well versed you are about the Egyptian mythology talking about the objects and characters in the show even before most of us realize it. This episode was very well done and answers so many questions as well as give us many more new ones. I hope many more get to discover your channel and help it grow. Take care!
thank you!! 🥺
I think they deliberately made this episode such an emotional rollercoaster to showcasing the world D.I.D well and how abusive parents especially mother could create a future Monster..
The partner is Colonel Bushman, Marc mention him at that memory scene.. In comics Marc also got killed by Bushman..
And my theory is the last scene where Steven died the scale is balanced because now there's only two personalities filling that two hearts.. Marc and Jake.. So sad for Steven but I hope Marc could create him again
oh ok i thought Bushman was his boss in the series and his partner was someone else. all born in my head because before konshu spoke to him he was about to k himself and because he always called him “my boss”
Oscar Isaac is an Oscar himself. To me, these episodes were magnificent in the way he interpreted all the characters. Abused children suffer and develop multiple personalities to protect themselves, to create a world as it should have been for them. Marc has to save Khonshu himself, and Marc's third character (the taxi driver) is probably in Marc's subconscious due to his mother's wickedness and beatings.
I swear, Oscar Issac is phenomenal in this series. You could be forgiven for thinking that the Oscar's awards were named after him.
I watch a lot of reaction videos. I imagine some people don't get it, but it's an exercise in empathy. You officially have the most empathy on RUclips! I'm glad I found your channel. :)
thank you! 🥺
I love how they portrayed Marc and Steven’s backstory it made me feel bad for both of them and I just really cried during the entire episode so yeah amazing reaction and have a great day love ya 🥰
thank you!!🥺
25:29 yes and no. The psych ward is how Marc’s brain chose to interpret the unfathomable nature of the afterlife. Since T’Chaka and N’Jobu believed in Bast, not Khonshu or Taweret, they were sent to the Ancestral Plane, a different plane of untethered consciousness.
Your very educated one of the best reactions on this show... you gained a sub
thank you so much!
Let's not give up on Steven, let's hope he'll be saved. That episode was a wild one.
Actually the ending credit song ( saat saat ) is from a movie called the night when the moon cried
And it means ( sometimes sometimes i love my life and adore things ) which is so sad in context of the episode
Great reaction
I cried too
Love this episode so much
I believe that many of the gods have been sealed and/or just retired from their duties. Taweret seemed to be new/rusty with this job suggesting that she hasn't been in charge very long (at least recently).
Blame himself about :
- The death of his little Brother
- The dad of his wife
- The "death" of Steven falling in the sand for "Hell"
The position of Steven when he froze at the end is the same of the "Golden Mime" at the first episode.
oh my God you're right!! it is the same position!
4:25 not even Death itself can stop Steven Grant of the Gift Shop from nerding out.
I had the same emotions while watching this episode and this is great that we can share them with each other. There is nothing to be sorry about
One more sub!
That episode was heartwrenching!
Great performance by Oscar Isaac!
About Anubis, he was probably "imprisoned" in stone, like Khonshu and other gods.
And Jake Lockley has been around since Ep. 01 but sometimes is not that obvious (which was great).
I totally understand what you’re saying. I wish there was a superhero who had a good life and became a superhero because he or she chose to be, and just saw all the wrong doing around and wanted to make a difference
RIGHT?? i mean, where’s that story??
@@gigiiiswatching YESSS! Closest thing we have is The Power Rangers I think 😅
@@lorenzo3430 I did laugh out loud with this ngl BUT IT'S TRUE
@@gigiiiswatching unfortunately it is! 🤣
I was indeed puzzled at first when it was Tawaret who was in the role as guardian of the dead. Yet Anubis is represented as the centre piece that the scales branch off of. Additionally? Since Tawaret is the Goddess of Women and Children? It was as if she had a deeper connection to both Mark and Steven. (His trauma stemmed from his childhood... By his grieving mother alongside the trauma of loosing his brother. etc.) She stepped into the reassuring role model whilst attempting to uphold Anubis' infamous actions within the role of soul's protective guardian and firm educator to said souls final fate. She went one step further and offered to be Layla's avatar to extend that positive influence in the pairs lives. Such a sweetheart.
this whole series is so emotional and awesome too
The MCU doesn't deserve Oscar Isaac. My god what a talent.
When you said "I love Stephen!", I knew you were in trouble lol
editing me had a big laugh at that and then cried
6:01 it seems like Anubis got Ushapti’d like Khonshu, so it’s fine.
This Was A Rough Episode
You Almost Had Me Crying With You This Time, And I've Already Watched The Episode A Few Times

Great reaction. This was a tough episode, but you powered through it!
it was hard but I did it!
episode 5 takes a special place in my broken heart... lost my mom to her alcoholism and substance abuse (since she would mix alcohol with her mental health medications/pills)
every day, every single day for the last 2 years since I found my mom like this it was a constant of the scene where little mark is hiding in his room... my door had holes from a baseball bat she once used... she's still alive... but her mind has deteriorated to a point where she no longer is my mom and thats why I left, next step for her is Alzheimer's and I feel like I already suffered enough... episode 5 cuts deep for us who lost a parent to that liquid...
That's really profound and heartfelt. Thank you for posting it.
thank you for watching 🥰
EVERYONE! MARC IS AN ALTER AS WELL! HES JUST THE HOST MEANING THE ALTER/PART THAT FRONTS & HAS CONTROL THE MOST. THERE IS NO ORIGINAL “PERSONALITY” WHEN IT COMES TO THOSE WITH D.I.D OR OSDD which I have.-Dazai
Side note: These entire series was really relatable for me and other systems I know as well
3:58
That is Jake Lockley (the third identity).
yeah during the editing process i thought of it but when he’s back with taweret he makes a comment about the meds so i assumed it was marc
@@gigiiiswatching I think Marc has access to Jake's memories, he seems to be deliberately hiding Jake. Plus I think when his mom gets in the room is when Jake is created (to take the Protector roll in the system) that's why he's an exceptionally violent alter. That's why Marc remembers the beatings but Jake took them. Maybe?? 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ i think definitely Jake with the bandage though, his accent and demeanor are way way different, and mark doesn't have any marks(lol) on his face
this episode emotionally wrecked me
we should sue disney for emotional damage
@@gigiiiswatching I already wrote a letter and said that I will not continue watching until steven is returned.
@@0lisher UNHARMED!!
8:09 well, we call Nihon “Japan,” so who knows what Anubis’ name is.
Great reaction!
Just a note on language (btw, your English is excellent): While technically “take this for granted” could work, I don’t think most native speakers would use that idiom as you did. Taking something for granted is most commonly used to mean that you don’t properly appreciate something you have. It can also mean assuming something is true, but I think that would usually be something that you yourself believe, not something someone else is telling you. I think it’s probably better to say something like “don’t take this as gospel” (I.e it’s not necessarily true.) Or you could say “take this with a grain of salt” (meaning to consider this as unverified / be skeptical about it).
YES “take it as a grain of salt” is what i wanted to say! lol
thanks a lot for the clarification! :)
I felt this episode so deeply. I do not have DID, but I did lose a brother at 10 and blamed myself for it for years. He was older than me and there was literally nothing I could have done, but losing a sibling between the ages of 9 and 12, when the mind is in such a transitive state, is considered the most traumatic time to lose a sibling. I also had extremely abusive parents and just cried so hard at what Marc was going through. I just wanted to hug him and tell him that someday things would be better.
literally, i just wanted it to end for him, i felt it so bad
and i’m sorry you went through that
1:09 we’re not. We’re on the Limboat.
Fun Fact, when Marc & Steven are in the hallway screaming at the end of episode 4 that's Issacs real twin brother playing him, which character he played i'm unsure of but it is his twin brother in real life.
*I loved this reaction. So many other reactors didn’t show much emotion at all so it was nice to have a crying buddy. Also you’re beautiful 💛✨*
oh if you’re looking for a crying buddy THAT’S ME.
thank you 🥺🥺🥺❣️
People are saying that the first Marc we see in the episode, with the nose bandage, is Jake.
yeah, I thought it too while editing. but then when they were back with Taweret, Marc made a comment about the meds they gave him and if it was Jake he wouldn't remember them giving him the shot so... idk that's the connection I made in my head lol
@@gigiiiswatching I don't think it's Jake in that scene. I think it's Marc but I think it's Marc waking after Jake wreaked havok on the psych ward with fights.
@@gigiiiswatching I agree with the OP that we saw Jake in that opening Dr. Harrow scene -- it's the only time Marc/Steven change appearance when popping over to Dr. Harrow's office and both his behavior and accent are different. I think Marc's comments about the meds were deliberate misdirection to sow doubt. Keep in mind he was already drugged by Dr. Harrow last episode and knew it, so its not surprising he would blame the meds after seeing a walking, talking hippo-lady. He also appeared to be briefly disoriented and dizzy right before the med reference, and that behavior reminded me more of how Marc/Steven acts when recovering after another alter had taken over. Marc and Steven are now completely separated (at least in this realm), but Marc and Jake may not be...yet. That sarcophagus was never opened (ie. Jake was not released and is still bound to Marc in a way Steven no longer is in this realm?)
Hi! Thank you for reacting moonknight episode. I love your reaction, edit and knowledge about stuff in there. You're such emotional person and episode 5 really proved. I looking forward for other reaction video in the future!

Marc has a real condition called DID (dissociative identity disorder) and it's one of the worse psycologic conditions ever. It's sad and beautiful at the same time that Steven Is the part of Marc that still loves his mother
exactly, that is the saddest part of all this. after all she did to him he still made his alter love her unconditionally :(
Every time I watch this episode it breaks my heart!!! :C
Saying Stiles the shit out of him was the moment I was like I have to subscribe right now. Lol!
there was no other way to describe that moment! 😏
@@gigiiiswatching it was a perfect comparison! Lol! 😂
The best thing about Moonknight is that the series is not all about Moonknight fighting and being the anti-hero with the suit but instead it explains every problem of the main character and uses many episodes to explain what's happening , it's not short flashing flashbacks but it literally tells us the story of a man NOT with an identity crisis but with an identity created to feel better , to face the fear, to think better , to think that his mom is alive. We now understand how Steven was never real and he is just an identity to live a new better life and to feel like a better person. When Marc lost Steven , he was sad not only because he was the helper of his sadness and depression but because he thought he was like his brother (not the dead one) , they were like best bestfriends , Marc knew Steven was his personality only and that's why he didnt want to make him know what happened to him and that Steven was not real, Marc decided to create Steven also to think that it was Marc who invented things and that Steven was the original persona. Marc is sadly suffering because his personality was like his protector and it leaving , not being available anymore , yknow , when we grow up we lose our usual personalities but Marc's persona was something different. Marc did kill people but to feel like a better person Steven helped him. Dude i was saying how great MK was why am i talking about Marc's issues and mental disorders?
So this show is way far the best because , as i already said , it's not only the anti-hero/super-hero defeating the super-villains and being appreciated by the public but this show has too much drama , stories and it makes us reflect. Oh god i watched too much of MoonKnight , why did i think that we all could be being a non realistic persona invented by our past selves to support the pain. Ok that's not true so let's forget it.
This show actually has the full story of Marc and i've seriously never seen the main character get abused in a Marvel series. I mean in other series that are not marvel i did see that but not in MARVEL. Yes guys i know Deadpool was abused by his father but it didn't show in live action yet + not a marvel series but a movie saga (3 movies but 2 movies of deadpool for now). This show is n.1 , prove me wrong ,wait nevermind don't because y'all gonna respond with Flash , Euphoria , Bridgerton , Vampire diaries , Gotham , Halo , Boba Fett or many other ones.
Anyways i feel ya cryin , i wrote this comment to feel better after Steven's death. If y'all can read this comment go read a book too lmao.
that was... incredibly well written and I agree with every word

Ey I'm not the only one who think Marc and Eminem are very similar with each other. Both had a bad/abusive mom and both had 3 different personalities. Of course marcs being more extreme, but you know what I mean.
i like to call this episode "how marvel curb stomped my heart"
oh you didn't know? that is the alternative title of this episode
Honestly, Marc lost his brother in a similar way to Stephen Strange losing his sister.
Going into a bit of DID theory, a Host is an Alter that spends the most time fronting (in control of the body), but who is Host can change. I saw someone in another video theorise that Marc used to be the Host but Steven became the Host in recent months, while living in London and working in the museum gift shop.
Also, if no one else has said it, Steven exists to live the happy life Marc couldn't have. All Alters protect the System in some way, so Steven holds Marc's softer side.
That twice instrumental got me doing the choreo👆
I'm so happy someone recognised it!!
Maybe Anubis is in stone prison? And maybe that’s why Taweret doesn’t know what she’s doing?
yes it might be! it would make sense!
Amazing reaction 🤠
Don’t worry. It wasn’t Steven that went overboard and died. It was the third alternate. Notice how crazy he got with the bat while fighting that last enemy and it seems like he might not have his accent after falling over. And this is why the scales finally balanced, because Steven and Mark had resolved their issues, but not the third alternate.
mmhh i don’t think they’d just kill jake like that without even an introduction
I don't think his partner is Jake, because that would mean he knows Jake exists. And he really doesn't seem to know he does. I think Khonshu at the end even says they don't know about Jake.
ooohhh yes that’s a good point
Ummm FEEL SPECIAL?! Are you a ONCE?! I Am!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I agree that it's not Harrow I think in his 'inner space' the therapist represents the Enemy to the various personalities and so now that Harrow is their enemy in the real world he's taken on that face inside
or it might also be Marc's voice of reason that's trying to make him face the truth about this whole mess
@@gigiiiswatching Yes exactly, which would double as his inner 'therapist' which his defense systems view as the enemy of them keeping the walls up and protections secure. :)
But that isn't his headspace, is it? In headspace or inner world of DID systems, alters exist separately, but in there, they were switching. So that might just be a pure imagination. OR Harrow is trying to stop Marc from trying to get back and stop what he's doing.
@@airwaters I agree it's not a perfect representation, I think what they were going for was an ISH "Internal Self-Helper" that due to the breakdown / rejection of reality of what happened with his mother, went from being the voice of reason to being viewed as the enemy... if that makes sense? I could be 100% wrong of course, just what it seemed like they were going for to me.
Man, Oscar can REALLY act
Can I pause....uh uh..its my video..
Loool too funny!
My biggest problem is not losing Steven (if Marc can be brought back from the Field of Reeds, then why can't Steven be recovered from the Duat?). My problem is the balancing of the scales without dealing with the Jake alter. My theory, right now, is that Jake is not a personality created by Marc, but rather, it is a manifestation of his mother's projection of malevolent callousness upon him. This, somehow, might not be a weight on his soul.
uh that is a good guess. it might actually be right, as you said because of the scales balancing without Jake involved.
I thought about this aspect a lot and my conclusion is that the 3rd alter was not present for her to balance because he was not let out of the sarcophagus. Taweret could only balance the hearts that she had? Just a theory.

yeah seriously
This episode really struck me in the heart. My dad abused me and my siblings for years and it was so hard and it broke me I thought I was the problem and was not worth anything and if it wasn't for God I would have killed myself. I am so sorry for everyone in this chat that has been abused I hate that you all went through this and I am praying for healing for all of you.
i hope life’s better for you now ❤️
Aww so cute
Incredible & heartbreaking.
I think (and pray) Steven will be back in the last ep - with DID (from what I've researched, I don't have DID so pls take my opinion with a pinch of salt) an alter doesn’t just ‘die’ or ‘disappear’ when they go with integration treatment (good communication between alters, an acceptance of a system, less/no blackouts when switching etc) . If they want to go with final fusion (merging experiences, traits etc), it takes years and years, a lot of work and a readiness to fuse - Steven didn’t look at all ready when he fell off that boat and introducing the third alter and then fusing in the same ep without a chance for the character to breathe would be a weird choice for me. I don't think I'd be mad if they did it as fusing is a valid treatment, I'd just miss Steven and Marc as separate entities, especially with Oscar saying that Steven is autistic so I don't know why they'd do that when the character is so important and unique.
Either way I need 3 - 5 business days to recover excuse me while I return to my sobbing fest
i will be joining your sobbing fest as soon as I clock out from work.
I don't think they'd go with the merging in the last episode, it took so long to get where we are now, I feel like wrapping it up in 40 minutes would be a pity
